This trailer just made our top 5 list. We have taken many trailers like this off our list due to no access to bathroom. And ALL that storage, WOW!!! Keep up thhe great work.
Wow, I've just stumbled across this video. I'm thrilled with the "one-take-no-cuts" vibe. You guys are brilliant just because of the smooth handover of the camera and the non-stop commentary. -And this in a super informative and entertaining way! 😍
Well it’s about time a manufacturer came out with a 5th wheel that is smaller and easier to get around with. I think most interested buyers for this unit are probably not full timers but extended travelers , I love it. Not everybody wants to haul a 40 ft trailer behind them, or pay extremely high prices to do it.
I like this unit, if I ever go to where I am not living in my 5th wheel, this would be one I would consider for recreational purposes. I was amazed that you coud access the bathroom and bedroom with the slide in! Having the bathroom accessible is a must for me, no dirty bathrooms for me
You forgot that this unit has the Compass Connect App capability so you can auto level from your phone. You don't have to stick your head inside the storage compartment Will! Also, there is storage under the dinette you just need to remove the cushions to get to it.
Matt. Hope that you find the opportunity to review the Outdoors RV line, particularly their small fifth wheel. Would be interested in how you think it stacks up and whether it is indeed better suited for boondocking and the attendant rougher roads.
I would like to see them make the leveling controller detachable. Have it clip in to a mounting bracket that is wired. Then you can have it either be tethered or wireless so you can move around to see everything.
Hi Matt and Wil! My dislikes are the same as yours and my likes are the bathroom, no heat ducs in the floor, the theater seats across the from the tv and the floor plan. Thank you Matt and Wil! Great job! 👍
I actually like this unit. With the right set up, you could tow this with a 1/2 truck, IMHO. I really like that they put a dinette in it as a lot of small units skip the dinette because of the lack of space, although a sofa, or maybe a desk would be be better for some. The exterior storage is actually a fairly good size for not having a drop frame, the 30lb propane tanks are awesome, and prepped for solar is nice. I also like the fact that it has a ladder which other manufacturers delete, especially on lesser expensive units, and the tires and suspension stabilizer is unusual for a lesser expensive unit. Great nightstands too! I didn’t see the tv placement in the bedroom, but likely mounts on a side wall which is a bummer, but understandable. I agree the electric stabilizer unit should be mounted on the side towards the front in a separate compartment. At around $40k, very nice!
I am very pleased to say that in today’s insane world that the Price appears to be very fair👍but the only big disappointment is no sofa or table and chairs “option” for the decades old uncomfortable “Denny’s” diner booth dinette😢
I love the IMAGINE RK much better… and even though this is a 5th wheel, the Imagine is bigger in storage. They have the pantry & telivator & much bigger bathroom, also the couch is bigger. The only downfall in my opinion is the two dump spots. We currently have an XLS & my husband refuses to buy another RV with a queen bed 😊 otherwise we would have definitely got the RK.
Less expensive not cheapest. Cheapest sounds like build quality. Did I miss the location of the spare tire? A window in the hallway would make it feel bigger. Length - Tip to tail, is that from pin to ladder?

I’ve owned motorhomes for over thirty years and would never own a fifth wheel or travel trailer from grand design, why they set the customer up for putting a boat load of solar in the front and only storage plus all the other stuff people put in there! Yeah disaster strikes and they’ll denie. Oh in the video the little marketing gal should have known the equipment inside out, so she don’t know shit. Anyway grand design is once again promoting garbage. As usual. Don’t buy that crap, go buy someone else’s stuff that’s better.

Thank you Matt and Will for showing us the bathroom access with the slide retracted, I appreciate it.

what a great idea

As an owner of a 22RK, my biggest dislike is that GD did not put a ceiling/ roof vent in the living area like the other Reflection series have.
One of the best floor plans out there.
My problem is price, in 2020 I bought a Refection 303RLS with dual air for 52k. This is not in the same league as the 303. Pandemic or not.

Very nice 5th wheel.
You should film a Liquified commercial so you can insert it into your videos
This bathroom access is great.
Brilliant access to bathroom! A designer woke up, or read review comments…

Could I pull it with a 2019 toyota Tundra crewmax?
No
13,000 GCGW on the Tundra
Not enough payload on Tundras
@claylee, I know I tried once poor old Tundra just needs some bigger axel 😵💫😬

Spare tire is under the trailer towards the rear. Overall length, which is from the front nose of the cap to the backside of the ladder is 27'11"
What’s the tongue weight?
What dealership are you at Matt?
I will never own a 5th wheel, but its still a nice looking rv. Great video guys.
No access to bath while traveling with slide out in
OK, now Matt covered this area nicely
Very nice! Thank you! Thank you! 👍🤘🧡💛🧡
Great unit
A million dollar warehouse and they have a fire alarm with a dead battery? OSHA...
😂
All trailers and fifth wheels should come with shock absorbers. And no that moride is not sufficient
Schwinteck slide out system on the big slide? Definite deal breaker. Rack-and-pinion only for big slides. Schwinteck is ok for small slide outs.
Yooo big WILLIE
It better be a VERY HEFTY 1/2 ton but in all honesty 3/4 ton.
It is almost an insult for a company to call this a half ton towable. Nice rig. But not half ton towable.
Carpeted slide. Grand Design, please stop putting carpet in RVs.
Half ton towable seriously the average 1/2 ton truck has about 1500 lbs. Gvwr. The dry pin weight is 1100 you will be way over with just passengers
I will not even consider buying a Grand Design 5th wheel after the way they treated frame flex customers.
Just not worth the risk.
Why would I buy a Grand Design with a massive class action lawsuit going on right now because their frames are inferior? GD has lost all credibility
Extra weight savings = likely cracked insufficient frame.
Highly unlikely.
It needs a televator
Why add another $500 to the price? Moronic.

GD can’t replace their smoke detector battery…this is a pass, dog.
Wow, this is a tiny toy of a camper😮
dislike....apparently no TV hookup in the bedroom

Since you admit to having no personal experience with Grand Design your comment is not exactly from a reliable source.
no such thing as a half ton towable 5th wheel if you wonna die then go ahead
And yet, still using pex fittings on vinyl, love how GD assumes how stupid we all are.
