Yes. 3 is sufficient for most. Maybe for the first 2 months where there are no European competitions, less suspension and injuries and no blank and double game week. After that most of the players will make transfer every week or 2.
To me this is an effort to keep more people playing the game for longer period. There are many people who abandon the game at very early stages. If they decide to come back, they will have more free transfers for flexibility without being penalized.
To be honest I think the 5 transfers are for people who dont play the game for a couple of weeks then come back. Its easier for them to navigate with 5 transfers and keep up with the situation.
@@FPLFocal5 is far too many and I'm all for innovation but I think it's going to ruin the season by allowing too many transfers during difficult patches where managers who plan usually do better.
It's more to make it easier for less engaged players. Now they can forget a team and come back after a couple of weeks and have enough free transfers to fix their team if they want to, previously they'd return to a bunch of red flags etc and just stop playing as fixing a team otherwise would have meant wc or heavy use of hits. It also takes away a lot of planning around transfering in and out costly players. Switching between Salah/Haaland is easier now as you can more easily keep 2-3 transfers ready to switch funds around and not have money sitting in the bank or planning moves many rounds ahead. Making Haaland the most expensive is countered by having more free transfers available to get him in/out when you want. This is further enhanced by not resetting transfers after chip use. Less need to plan around wc/fh use as you anyway will keep your saved transfers.
Excited for these new features, in theory it would make getting to Haaland easier if I didn't start with him. For example I looked at a WC in 7 when City's fixtures improve but with the extra transfers I could just hold the WC & get there using the transfers. I am disappointed that it is harder to get Haaland with his price but it will be fun building different drafts to see what works best. If I don't start with him I am sure I will have him at some point. Will be interesting to see how it works, FPL is nearly back let's go!
If it ain’t broke don’t fix it! The 5 transfers rule seems to be a way to keep those players who give up on FPL more engaged, rather than benefiting those that play every week
Oscar is back just like the Terminator 🎉 Life is good😂 3 tranfers would be better than 5. Mystery chip interesting. Not bothering with Fantasy Challenge, Draft much better in my opinion. Let the Focal vids begin. More Teddy this season please Oscar. I rest 🙏🍺
I've been playing fpl for over 25 years. We had to phone to make a transfer last century. I think you were allowed one per month (i might be wrong, many brain cells lost in the meantime). You lot don't know how easy you have it now but i always say it's the same rules for all of us. Five is too many . It's like snookering someone when playing pool. I won my 1st mini league in many years thanks to your videos last season. Tore andre flo super sub by raneiri and freddie ljunberg run in won it for me back then. Thank you Oscar.
I think 3 free transfers would have been good amount, still needs planning and you still "have to" play almost each week unlike with 5. But can you really win the game or even your mini-league if you don't do transfers and change captaincy for multiple weeks and then just come back and make 5 transfers.
5 too many, 2 too few. It will be nice to not have to feel the need to tweak the team for GW3 and be able to roll more into a mini-wild card. Welcome Back Focal!
I hoped they would do like Euro manager, so its more rewarding having players that are good at ball recovery etc. Would be more interesting and not just about assist/Goals.
5 ft's doesn't counteract fewer blanks and doubles, it enhances it. You need to nail the start of the season. If you don't you need to catch up while the frontrunners save their FT's, improving their strategic position. And without the big blanks and doubles there is not as much opportunity to make up the lost points.
im a bit worried on how the season will plan out with 5ft possibility, i feel like there can be a bunch of mistakes to be done when instead of doing transfers i hold them and lose points because of that.
It was tricky enough navigating for 2 free transfers,it’s like there giving you something that isn’t really that useful to balance the price structure,Fools Gold me thinks
The 5 transfers option will benefit the rash decision makers hardly making any minuses. Do they release the lineup 90 minutes before kick off as well now?
I'm annoyed with the changes, the price increases are good as it makes team building more difficult but yea all the free transfers, chips and fixture changes to reduce blanks/doubles helps those who don't have the stamina for FPL whereas I spend time thinking and planning weeks ahead so it's a bit frustrating but we'll see how it goes.
5 free transfers feels too many to me, but if you're a fixtures player you should be able to plan and take advantage of fixture swings more easily now.
I would back free transfers rolling on each week with no cap. In the end the number or free transfers is the same for everyone, so why should the game limit strategy?
In my view they should have just brought in two free transfers each week like in UCL fantasy. And still only be able to roll 1. This I think would remove a lot of frustration from the game and it would be fairer on everyone of all abilities. As it is, the rolling of 5 transfers just benefits the elites and the unengaged casuals. For those like myself who are engaged but are simply not very good at FPL or who like to play differentials this new rule is largely irrelevant. I’ve only rolled a transfer twice in the last 3 seasons lol.
5 free transfers just going to lead to huge ownership of the same players and so many similar squads . Requires less planning and strategically I really do not like it
The wait was actually long and frustrating its good to be back lads
Good to be back 🔥
Why would they go straight to 5 man... they should've started at 3
Yes. 3 is sufficient for most. Maybe for the first 2 months where there are no European competitions, less suspension and injuries and no blank and double game week.
After that most of the players will make transfer every week or 2.
Asking myself the same question. 5 is excessive.
Not that deep is it
Its an effort to try and make teams look different & not have a common template
To me this is an effort to keep more people playing the game for longer period. There are many people who abandon the game at very early stages. If they decide to come back, they will have more free transfers for flexibility without being penalized.

Five transfers just going to make it harder to have different teams
With the pricing, I think it increases the variety of teams more so than this change
Why?
To be honest I think the 5 transfers are for people who dont play the game for a couple of weeks then come back. Its easier for them to navigate with 5 transfers and keep up with the situation.
I agree
3 would've been the sweet spot imo
5 is probably aimed to lure people back in that have forgotten their team for a month or two
@@FPLFocal5 is far too many and I'm all for innovation but I think it's going to ruin the season by allowing too many transfers during difficult patches where managers who plan usually do better.

5 transfers is good because it adds a challenge to the game to save 5 transfers it means u have a good team u can trust

Exactly, it’s being introduced to help the more casual managers rather than FPL addicts!
Welcome back Oscar! Missed your channel. I hope you had a good break. ☺️
Holy shit we're truly back!!! Get in!!!
Great to have you back Oscar!!
Thank you! Can't wait to get stuck in doing a team
The new chip will allow us to add a 4th player off a team after January. 100%
Welcome back, Oscar.. Been waiting for your FPL content..

i really think this video is great, i guess i will rewatch it🍉
I’m not a big fan of the new interface
Why aren’t subs numbered anymore?
Going from 2 to 5 free transfers seems like overkill. Also not a fan of the new UI. Remains to be seen how much of an impact these changes will have
What if the new chip is that you can choose captain after the gameweek?
😂😂😂 5 is even sweeter.

GK and DF getting -4 if they concede a goal! Wasnt that the case before in 23/24 season????
Is fpl going to drop this week also great vid and are different ways of scoring points going to be added in the future?
Almost certainly tomorrow
