  • In this video, we perform the 400 hour service interval on the Kubota Sidekick RTV-XG850. This is also the the two year anniversary of us purchasing this vehicle. We accomplish the following steps: power wash mud off, oil change with Mobil Syntethic 0W-40 oil, we use a "Wix" oil filter from O'Reily's Auto Parts. We also use Kubota UDS Transmission fluid for the transmission and front differentials. After all of this, we grease all of the A-arms and lubricate various points and springs. During this last year, we really abused this vehicle and shame on us for not taking better care of it. But this was a complete service and we're good to go for another year. After two years, the question is would be buy this again? The answer is absolutely YES! It's a beast of a machine that we work exceptionally hard.

      @@HeritageFarmsTexas Very pleased to hear, opening up 60 acres in the spring, plenty of work needs doing. I hope for the same.

    I envy that shop, that's just wow nice. That Ford oh yeah now that is a vintage piece of gold there, very nice and sentimental to you I am sure. I like Kubota products they always seem to function very well in almost all cases. Another Good Video!

      Thanks DJ, I enjoy that shop when it’s too hot or cold outside. It’s also a great place to keep the cars out of the way. Now I just need one at the farm. Haha. Have a good day.

    I have been trying to get one for over 3 months. My dealer was finally able to place an order and hopefully I will get a 2022 before the end of summer. I have that same pressure washer and love it. Thanks for the honest videos of the Sidekick. All other videos seem to be from people that were given them by Kubota to use for free and I don't trust that type of video.

    The Kubota is looking good. It's good for another year! Like your Dad's nineteen-forty eight Ford. You should do a video on it.

    I have a diesel RTV 1120 and it is a true workhorse. I got it in 2018 and never had any issues. If you want to ride fast and act stupid, don’t get a Kubota diesel. That are work/Utility vehicles. As I like to tell people that make fun of their slow speed, “Clydesdales don’t run in the Kentucky Derby “!

    • @HeritageFarmsTexas
      @HeritageFarmsTexas  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes we looked at the diesel and love it. Unfortunately some of our property is spread out and we need some speed to get there. We have family with the diesel and it’s great for working. Thanks for watching. Appreciate it.

    Can’t say enough good about those things. On the tree farm there’s a diesel one we use a lot. It does it all.

    Looks like a good machine. Love my Honda but it doesn't look as solid as your Kubota. Been working on a two year review as well 2019 must have been a good year to by side by sides.

      @HeritageFarmsTexas  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Appreciate the feedback. Honda was my second choice, only because we know the owner of the Kubota dealership.

    How is the engine heat shielding from the seats and cab area? How would you rate the cab noise level?

    • @HeritageFarmsTexas
      @HeritageFarmsTexas  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello, I’ve experienced no heat issues at all. As far as noise, it’s fairly quite for an open cab. Keep in mind that Subura was making these engines before kubota bought their small engine plant. So it’s fairly tame.

    Where did you get your wheels and tires? What make/model brand, etc.?

    • @HeritageFarmsTexas
      @HeritageFarmsTexas  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Brandon. The wheels and tires were added at the dealership when I bought the kubota. Not sure of the brand name. The tire size is 27x12x14. Wheels are 14”. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.

    Your vehicle is still under warranty why not use OEM oil and filters?

    • @HeritageFarmsTexas
      @HeritageFarmsTexas  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, thanks for watching. Because they meet the specifications in the owner manual. Kubota does not make oil or filters. They outsource them and put their name on them all the while doubling their price.

      Hello, I really don’t know. I’d try the regular spots Amazon, EBay, internet, etc. if you have the actual part number might help you find it on the web. That sounds high. Good luck.
