    I have a full bike licence but still love little bikes. They do have some advantages. Cheap to buy and run, light weight so less tiring too. Planning to add one to my garage this year. Bonus for me will be no extra insurance cost as I have a multi bike policy. My daughter did the Barnyard Party last year in her 50 c.f. Moped and we had a great time

    Hey Luke, Great set of videos! Ive been toying with the idea of buying a HPS. Im not overly familiar with maintenance of a bike. Your advice for the longer rides is good but would be really good if you made a video of how to check over the HPS like adjusting the chain? oil top up and any other maintenance

    I was planning on getting a 2nd hand 600cc bike until I actually sat on one. Being 5ft 5 and 9 stone and not having ridden a bike for over 25 years I have knocked that idea on the head now. I am planning on buying a valiant now as I think they are great bikes actually. As you have said in your video the legal speeds you can do is 70 mph and I have no interest in speeding nowadays anyhoo. The bike will do all that I want from it from long distance to pootling round d country lanes where I live. Nice video :-)

      racefaceec90 I had a valiant. To get it to do 70 they do need work. I.e. Gearing needs changing to 16x43. K&N jet to 102.5. Gs exhaust of eBay for £50. Remove egr blank off etc. And a ferring helps :) I loved my little valiant

    Decades ago, in Birmingham, my brother got on his 50cc moped to go out for a spin. My Dad said, "Don't go far in case anything goes wrong." Early evening, we get a phone call from my brother, "The bikes died on me, just outside Aberystwyth; I was on my way home."

    Hi Luke awesome video and love the new bike. I want to change my grips on my valiant for some biltwell thrusters, do you know what size I need and is it a simple case of cutting the old ones off and sliding new ones on or do I have to remove the throttle tube and all that
    Cheers dude

    • @lukesrideouts8513
      @lukesrideouts8513  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      DeadHead 1989 7/8ths is what you need mate. Pull the old ones off and slip the new ones on if there gel/rubber grips it's better to use a air compressor to fit them. Loads of vids on TH-cam. If there lether use some soap etc

    • @DeadHead-jw1ct
      @DeadHead-jw1ct 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Luke's Ride Outs thanks for the reply mate. What I'm concerned about is that the throttle tube is molded to the lexmoto grip...do I simply cut it off the grips with like a Stanley knife and leave the throttle tube where it is then slide the new ones over

    • @DeadHead-jw1ct
      @DeadHead-jw1ct 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Luke's Ride Outs also I've noticed on the throttle there's like a slightly raised edge...do I need to get 1 inch grips to fit over that or do I stick with 7/8

    Hi, I think this channel is brilliant as I'm thinking about getting one of these bikes soon but I want to learn more about them first. I've seen that they have a massive silencer under the engine to comply with Euro 4 regulations, do you think that there is a way you could remove this to make the bike sound a lot nicer?

      Motors for the Masses no mate not at all. The only time I felt it was after riding the bike all day but it was just warm not hot.
      The heat shields do a great job

      Motors for the Masses no worrys. Only thing I've had with mine is when the bike gets to temp it's idols higher. But mondial have sorted with a update for the efi. Just a computer glitch :) mins of in for it sorting tomorow

  • @liammcloughlin

    Who have you got insurance with? The bike (HPS 125) hadn't got a ABI code, so Bennetts et al. Won't cover it.

    • @lukesrideouts8513

    Hi Luke, thanks for the videos, they are great and this bike looks so dam good ! !!
    I am thinking about getting one but if you don't mind I have a few questions, did you ever tried it with a passenger in the bike ? How fast do you think you can go with a passenger ? Do you think there are some tricks to improve the bike top speed ? I am dreaming to reach 80mph to be able to go on the french highways .... Thanks !

    great videos, I've watched a few of them now. I know you say it's great at commuter speeds etc but what is the top seed of it?
    I'm a 125 fan too. Currently riding a ybr125, the updated model, and tbh I've never needed anything bigger. I just really need that extra 10 mph so I can get out the ways of some of the idiots I've encountered on dual carriageways. mine tops at 60 and won't do much more unless downhill so it can be a bit scary haha

    • @lukesrideouts8513
      @lukesrideouts8513  7 ปีที่แล้ว
