    Just bought one and love it no problem with the seating position either

  • @snakefireblast
    @snakefireblast 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    At 1:06 on the video he states seating position is set forward pulling you over the tank. The reason for this is that the handlebars have been installed incorrectly on this test bike. Just undo the four retaining bolts and rotate the handlebars towards you and reposition the handlebar controls by loosening the two screws and rotating them. My wife has one of these and they are great bikes! Just cover it in ACF50 and service it on time and it will last for years.

      Hi Phil, Thanks for the comment. The handlebars were changed on future batches to avoid this also :)

    My Valiant has been brilliant - I live in Harrogate and have done over 3000kms this first six weeks of ownership travelling from the East Coast of Yorkshire to the Lakes for a camping trip. Love it. Always gets attention and people asking about it wherever I go. I have fitted a dual seat so it will take a pillion , only £50. really great bike would recommend to all.

    • @threeleggedshrew
      @threeleggedshrew 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mark, when you went camping, did you take your equipment on the bike? If so did the additional thing you added help to make more room? Im just getting into bikes, my knowledge is small :) .. thanks for your time

    • @kramnireehs
      @kramnireehs 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Dan - I did a camping trip with the original seat and with the dual seat - there was no difference in room I just used bungee straps to hold the bag on the back seat

      +Mark Sheerin Hey mark, I've been looking into buying one of these bikes but i have been unable to find a review or really any opinions on the bike besides the lexmoto ones. Do you mind just telling me more about the bike.I was wondering how bad the seating position actually is? Have you had any issues with it? Speed and acceleration? anything you can to help inform me cheers

    • @kramnireehs
      @kramnireehs 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Tom Rutenga The riding position is absoutely fine if you reverse the bars. My garage swapped them round so they come towards you rather than away from you. They did that before I collected it. I have changed the front sprocket to a 16 tooth. It's not a rocket ship as no 125 is but it has no trouble keeping up with traffic. I have done trips to the coast and two caming trips with gear no problems at all. I aready have 3500kms on mine in a matter of weeks without a single issue mechanically. Handling and brakes are really quite good. I have no problems recommending it. I love mine.

    • @kramnireehs
      @kramnireehs 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Tom Rutenga its not expensive to swap bars - I bought some bars for it for £30 expecting to have to put them on after seeing this vid but have them still in the wrapper - not had to swap them - see below

    Can turn the bars back round by changing the handlebars so they are pulled back a bit - I;d experiment with the XTRS bars ; etc.

  • @kramnireehs
    @kramnireehs 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    just bought one and after sitting on it in the showroom I have ordered some renthal flat superbike bars around £30. I like the flat bars but they are too straight. The superbike bars have a slight back sweep just enough to make your arms more natural but keeping the forward sitting cafe pose.

      Mark Sheerin Sounds good. Let us know how you get on :)

      Lexmoto UK will do :)

    • @kramnireehs
      @kramnireehs 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mark Sheerin went back to the dealer today and they have moved the existing bars and it feels quite comfortable now so the other bars I bought might not be needed afterall . . .

    • @kramnireehs
      @kramnireehs 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mark Sheerin problem solved with the bars and riding position. On your video from the yoke the bar ends go forward. My dealer has swung them back so they flare behind the yoke bracket . They had to drill new pin holes for the controls, however the riding position now is great and immediately comfortable. Ok so the style is less clip on now and more 'flat bar' but the bike still looks amazing .

    I have a 2017 none EFI model it has disc brakes front and rear. the seating position is a little upright i was thinking of putting clip on bars and making some rear sets for it. I may go the whole hog and get a nose faring for it.

    • @lexmotomotorcycles
      @lexmotomotorcycles  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sadly the Vixen is not part of our current range anymore, if you want something of a similar style, check out either the ZSB or the Oregon. Or if you want something that feels just a tiny bit bigger but still have a Custom style have a look at the Michigan.

    That's great, and is there a shortage of supply of bikes at the moment as I was speaking to a dealer in Stoke, Staffordshire and he gave the impression that it's getting difficult to get bikes in Stock?

    • @lexmotomotorcycles
      @lexmotomotorcycles  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really, We've got available stock so dealers are welcome to order. Some dealers are getting cautious about ordering Euro3 stock however as the Euro 4 bikes are due out later this year and most want to fill their showrooms with these but they will unfortunately be more expensive.

    Is the gs style engine under licence or is it your own version? ? Also if I get one of these id be looking at clocking up some miles on it..ie mamchester area to Scotland. .the lakes etc..think it would hamdle it??

    • @lexmotomotorcycles
      @lexmotomotorcycles  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      w La The GS License is under license and produced by Qingqi Suzuki. The Motor is solid but you may need to consider the seating position. I'd recommend sitting on one at the dealership to see if it's comfortable for you.

    • @lexmotomotorcycles

    Hi-I have a valiant and asked a while bike if I can put a pod filter on and if so would I need to re-jet and you said that I didn't and simply needed to replace air box with a pod and it was that simple. I'm planning on doing it tomorrow and just wanted to triple check that this was still the case
    Thanks!

    • @lexmotomotorcycles
      @lexmotomotorcycles  7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm a first time buyer and this bike appeals to me a lot. Is there anything I should look out for when I go to view the Valiant? Also would you recommend this for a first bike? Thanks.

    • @lexmotomotorcycles
      @lexmotomotorcycles  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Valiant is a very nice bike to ride, very simple and straight forward, so yes I would say this would make a good first bike. It is not too large, is quite light and handles easily so you should get on with it brilliantly. The Valiant doesn't have anything to look out for other than the standard things that would apply to all bike. Regular maintenance check and cleaning are good for every bike!

  • @MDGaming98
    @MDGaming98 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    How would you describe the forwardness of the riding position? Local dealer hasn't got any in so haven't had the chance to sit on one to find out, and didn't want to put down a deposit before seeing if it would be uncomfortable. Any help is appreciated :)

    • @MDGaming98

      Just to add I commute 5 days a week on a road pushbike, so I'm used to being fairly hunched over already

    • @lexmotomotorcycles
      @lexmotomotorcycles  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      GamerGasm It's pretty long. Kinda like the difference between using a short or long stem on a push bike. The handlebars are standard size though so you could look at alternative handlebars if you did find it awkward.

    I've got a valiant 125 and need some help desperately. My bike has never had a problem but the last two weeks I've noticed when I'm full throttle in 5th as soon as I come off the throttle to go around a bend for example, if I get back on the throttle there will be a hesitation for a second then it will pick back up. It's quite a big hesitation but don't know what this could be

    • @lexmotomotorcycles
      @lexmotomotorcycles  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, sorry to hear you're having issues with you Valiant. Without looking at the bike it would be difficult to say. Have you spoken to your dealer about it?

    • @lexmotomotorcycles

    Hi guys-I've got a valiant and was looking into removing the tank pads, do they come off easily and will they leave any marks on the tank or is it done with something that can come off easily and leave a clean finish. Thanks guys

    • @lexmotomotorcycles
      @lexmotomotorcycles  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, they can come off easily but it all depends on the paint used on the bike itself. I would suggest using a hairdryer on the pad to warm the glue up so it becomes tackier. Once warm, really carefully start to peel the pad away from the bike, applying more heat if needed. Once removed, use warm soapy water to remove any residue on the bike. Hope that helps.

  • @DeadHead-jw1ct
    @DeadHead-jw1ct 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi-I've bought a fuel filter from the Lexmoto website. Is this meant to be installed as an inline filter and if so will it reduce any fuel flow and would it require any re-jet? Everything on the bike is stock. Thanks

    • @lexmotomotorcycles
      @lexmotomotorcycles  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      The filter won't require you to change the Jet and should be fine. Most of the filters we list for the Valiant are inline.

    • @DeadHead-jw1ct
      @DeadHead-jw1ct 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Lexmoto UK thanks for the quick response. I've installed the filter and it seems fine. So I don't need to alter mixture or jets at all once I've installed it then? Also, might be a silly question but this won't affect my fuel consumption will it?

    • @lexmotomotorcycles
      @lexmotomotorcycles  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You shouldn't need to make any change either the mixture or the jets and it shouldn't affect the fuel consumption .

    • @DeadHead-jw1ct
      @DeadHead-jw1ct 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Lexmoto UK great thanks again for response
      Just a couple more questions
      1) I've blanked off my EGR-will this affect consumption at all?
      2) if I change from airbox filter to pod, do I need to re-jet even if I still have stock exhaust
      Thanks

    • @lexmotomotorcycles
      @lexmotomotorcycles  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Blanking off the EGR shouldn't make a noticeable difference to the fuel consumption.
      In some cases you need to re-jet but not very often on 125cc's.
