The music and culture of the 80's was so happy and uplifting! So glad I grew up in that era! I truly feel bad for kids today. They have no idea what they missed out on.
Same here; cuz honestly, this score is better than the score for the first movie. This feels more like Johnny Five’s theme than the theme in the first film.

As a kid of 2003, this honestly was one of my favorite movies series growing up. Taught a valuable lesson to society that typically isn't so well crafted today as it was back in the 80's. Also Johnny 5 is a hilarious main character.

I would've liked to see a third Short Circuit film made in the early 1990s with the end credits theme reused for the opening scene and credits of more robots built to look like Johnny Five programmed as workers to build the toy robots on an assembly line in a clean factory inside Input Inc. to be packaged and ready for shipping.

Very cool! I agree. This music is like a lost treasure. As somewhat cheesy and 80's as the music may be, it works well. I've always preferred this movie over the first one. There's more depth to the characters. While both movies have their issues in their storytelling and tone, there's no denying how entertaining they are while also having solid messages to them. I had the chance to meet the director of part 2 and attending his directing class where he talked about making key scenes in the movie. Very, very fasnicating stuff.
It was recorded at CBS/MTM studios in Studio City. Several labels are trying to release an OST so hopefully it will get done. At one point David Cloverfield of WHITESNAKE-- a popular artist during the late 80's-- agreed to write a lyric to the theme and record it. It never came to be.

There's no official release, so this is it as far as I know. I even wrote to the composer's website, and they pointed me back to my own TH-cam videos!
