Great video! Our 17-year old Jacuzzi hasn't turned on in years and they didn't put in an access panel underneath, just tiled over it. There is an access panel on the side of the house to get to the motor but I can't reach in far enough to get to this control panel in order to work on it....I'll try this to remove it and buy a newer version to, hopefully, get it up and running again!

Almost seven years later and still a super helpful video. I will be ordering parts from your website shortly for this repair. My issue is when I press the power button ON, it will stay ON if I hold it down, but as soon as I let the button go, the unit shuts right off. I'll replace the switch at the motor and the bellows. Hopefully does the trick. Thanks!

One more thing I did order both the push button and the air switch and it turned out to be just the switch but I replaced both anyway. Good luck

That's what I'll have to do also. Sometimes it gets stuck in the other position and continues to run until I turn off the circuit breaker. Right now I have to hold it down in order to keep it running. I assume the bellows are good or it wouldn't start at all. It seems to be just a switch that's going bad. Thanks so much for all the info.

Thanks for the video, and most importantly thanks for the parts for my older jacuzzi tub, quick shipping, and quick help when I needed it.

Thanks for the video. In the video you mention a pdf that explains how to retrofit the old valve body to the new valve body assembly. I searched but could not find it. Is it still available? I suspect I'm going to have issues removing the air control knobs 20 years after the tub was installed. Again, thanks for the great video.

Hello, I loved your video and I think the on off switch washer is the part I need. However, my Jacuzzi circulates the water and I have never seen air injected anywhere. I have 6 water jets. I bought mine 1998 model N6159959- now 7/18/21it is 2021. The washer on the on off switch somehow has disappeared and I will purchase the washer form you if it is still available.

I’ve removed buttons and faceplate…You mention a pdf with instruction to replace old with new, I can’t locate it. In removing one of the buttons I broke the stem and housing of old one is damage and needs to be changed.

Question: When I push and hold the button down the tub will work. Does this suggest that only the button needs to be replaced or should I replace all three parts associated with the air switch button????

    • @iPoolandSpaPartsnet

We always suggest replacing all three parts: bellow, air tubing, and air switch. Let me know if you need anything else. Here to help anyway I can. AJ

Mine won't turn off , but I removed the bellows and it holds a vaccum ; in other words , when I squeeze the rubber and put mu finger over the hole , it stays collapsed and when when I press it , a strong puff of air comes out .
Does this mean it's more likely my switch has failed ?
I can't even see it or most of the motor in this tub. It seems to be buried in the back.

you would think that engineers would be smart enough to have a pressurized air feed from the pump to keep the On / off Line Pressurized. i had to modify the air line with a valve and back feed line to mine so it never lost prime again.

I have been pulling, shaking, using a screw driver and I cannot get the air flow knobs off. Any ideas? They are frozen.

    • @johnsbard6122

I found that spraying the knob shaft and using a pair of small needle nose pliers (around the shaft) and whigling it oh so slightly while moving the pliers around the shaft 360 deg. while slightly pully that it may come off. One did for me the other one the shaft broke. This was a terrible design by Jacuzzi, the replacement parts are also a terrible design, it is evidenty that Jacuzzi just wants to save a few cents on these parts and really does not care about thier older customers, I guess they think they will buy a new tub. If you do buy a new tub dont buy a Jacuzzi - just to get back at them for this stupid cheap design.

Guess you'd think a major outfit would build the metal parts that get wet constantly, would make them stainless huh. Thanks for the video though,, very helpful.

Hello AJ I'm wondering if you know of any common issue where water is leaking from the back side of these control panels when the tub is filled/over filled on full air and water is covering the bottom half of the buttons? I recently found this to be the case on my tub when the water was left running (forgotten) up to the overflow level for a couple hours. I have the buttons and cover off (one button snapped the shaft off and the other pulled the lock ring and shaft piece out of the valve in one corroded together piece. My assumption is that the air valves must be allowing water to pass the first o-ring and leak at the air intake openings? I'm sure the leak isn't from the overflow drain since I sealed off the control panel from the water and ran the the tub in overflow for hours and it stopped leaking onto the basement floor. What I see looks sealed to the tub well and no cracks or anything that would allow water to exit the tub.

The air button on my Jacuzzi tub has to be pushed several times to get it to turn off. It feels like it is stuck. What do I need to replace to fix it?

    • @iPoolandSpaPartsnet
      @iPoolandSpaPartsnet  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Denise; you can't see air and that's what controls your tub on and off.
Because of that we recommend changing these parts to guarantee it to be fixed: www.ipoolandspaparts.net/jacuzzi-bellows.html
