What we're seeing is a lot of off-season training, which is when heavy lifting comes in. It's also pretty obvious that he's worked his way up from the bottom, and through years of intense coaching and training, to do these exercises safely. Come track season, you'll see none of this kind of training.

He made the Brazil final but finished below the top 3 which he in my opinion should have been in the top 3 faster than Gatlin and even Degrasse so does all the Avante Garde Plyos really translate to the crackin a solid sub 10 at say the WC's in 2017? We will see Blake should be there in the finals i believe. He is the second fastest sprinter in Jamaica currently.

That's for an oxygen restriction. The lungs and muscles have to work more efficiently with the lack of it. It claims to have the same benefits as high altitude training. However, this hasn't been proven and for some sports this isn't always necessary or even the best choice to make. (mostly for aerobic sports like rowing/cycling)
