      @@didichan2581 not at all. Trust me Usain Bolt are God gifted. Steroids and hard work has proven not to be able to get all the men caught doping and training hard to run 19.19 and 19.26 and 9.58 and 9.69. Genetics play a big role in a sprinter abilities. For another example some people who train and try to get to that speed often are injury prone and have alot of surgery and career cut short. Everyone body isn't designed the same at all. Either your blessed or your not. That's why a white man or Asain can't reach those speeds. They are not gifted

      If you observe the 100 m finals at important international meets, virtually all of the sprinters are about tied at the 40 yard mark. What separates the men from the boys is what happens at 60 m, 80 m, and of course at 100 m.

      Fuck no, sprinters have strong hamstrings and are neurally driven. They have weak quads by comparison. Elite sprinters don’t give a shit about vertical jumping. They do care about long jumping because it’s more conducive to top velocity. In fact most sprinters can SLJ over 3 meters.

    • @KX5Kat
      @KX5Kat 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      To the average Joe and semi-pro, the mask might be a waste of time, but to a pro it might help very slightly with conditioning. What we're seeing is a lot of off-season training, which is when heavy lifting comes in. It's also pretty obvious that he's worked his way up from the bottom, and through years of intense coaching and training, to do these exercises safely.
      Come track season, you'll see none of this kind of training.

    Amazing compilation! So cool to see an incredible athlete working out and how you set up his training! I look forward to reading your paper! Per Bret Contreras, I would cue Yohan to stay looking straight forward and maintain his ribs down during his glute thrusts. He will get better glute activation and less risk of any potential lumbar spine injury.

Heck I’m not even a sprinter, I just lift weights to get stronger and train MMA, that’s where the bulk of my knowledge lies when it comes to training. I just remembered reading a few studies on pubmed on the topic a few months ago hence why I wrote that, I honestly have no clue if it actually has any real world application 🤷‍♂️

      Bob Smith Stronger lungs = more efficient provision of oxygen. Will benefit Blake in the winter conditioning portion of the season, and also aid with both recovery between workout sets and improve recovery between entire workouts, something which becomes more important when you train as much as an Olympian.
      Admittedly marginal benefits, and the masks aren't exactly a breakthrough product, but every little helps

    Out of the box Plyometric training some exercises looks a bit dangerous especially for a reconsctructed hamstring but has all this training translated to a better 60m and 100m and 200m time? He made the Brazil final but finished below the top 3 which he in my opinion should have been in the top 3 faster than Gatlin and even Degrasse so does all the Avante Garde Plyos really translate to the crackin a solid sub 10 at say the WC's in 2017? We will see Blake should be there in the finals i believe. He is the second fastest sprinter in Jamaica currently.

      Thierry Henry the legend nope his broad wouldn't have beat Byron jones. Who holds the world record btw and how can you be for sure he would have destroyed the 40 yard dash? Seeing as how most Olympic athletes times in a true 40 (3 point stance, on grass/turf, Hand start laser finish) are usually around 4.5, 4.4, and 4.3. Bolt said he's never ran faster than a 4.3 40 himself.

    • @goodebening6564
      @goodebening6564 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      footba11fan41ife you may not know this but blake has better acceleration than bolt due to shorter body and i meant that blake would have a top 3 or 4 best broad and vertical. And i hope you actually dont think that the best nfl players have better acceleration than the second fastest man in historiy

      Potential?. He's a world 100m champion & has numerous Gold & silver medals from Olympics & World championships.He, like many other fast runners of this era, is just unlucky he came in the time of Usain Bolt. Show us the Olympic and world championship sprint medalists you trained ... ... ... Exactly..That's what we thought.

    Yeah yohan Blake would have made Usain bolt s career look less godly is it wasn't for those damn injuries he couldn't fully get over...it's weird cause Tyson gay recovered pretty damn well from all his injuries

      That's for an oxygen restriction. The lungs and muscles have to work more efficiently with the lack of it. It claims to have the same benefits as high altitude training. However, this hasn't been proven and for some sports this isn't always necessary or even the best choice to make. (mostly for aerobic sports like rowing/cycling)
