I had the original G1 Blitzwing toy (I might actually still), so seeing this blows my mind. Such level of detail and engineering, even with its minor flaws, is awesome.
I remember my dad saying "that's one ugly MiG-25" at the original toy he bought me for a New Year. I somehow disagreed that it was a Soviet plane. Go figures. My dad is laughing at me from the skies now. 1:0 Dad, thumbs up.
I mean, imagine if the other Diaclone triple changer came to the U.S. as well, the one that transforms into an Apache and a weird-looking F-14. He'd go nuts! 😂
I was going to say, I don't ever recall Blitzwing being on the animated series, but then you showed him in the corner of the screen. I was like, " oh yeah, now I remember ". Blitzwing was really one of the best 3 form Transformers on the Decepticon side. Really most of all the really kick ass Transformers are Decepticons. Megatron, Starscream , and my personal favorite Soundwave. Can't leave out Shockwave. Blitzwing must have been a pretty large Transformer because he's got the hands that actually grip with moving fingers. Totally awesome! Decepticons for life, 👍🤘
What you never watched the movie???... "Come on down Auto-brat"...and he was the only Decepticon smart enough to avoid Optimus before the fight with Megatron.
The only downside to this is the tank cannon has to be separate from the figure. Other than that it’s fantastic so I can more than understand how sometimes you can’t fit everything in.
His robot mode is absolutely gorgeous and perfect. His tank mode has a little too much jet kibble, and his jet mode has a little too much tank kibble. But it's worth it for that statuesque pose which is everything I picture when I think of Blitzwing.
It's head and shoulders above the original toy. At least the jet looks like an aerodynamically designed machine unlike the original with the boxy wings.

Unless you wait for FT blitzwing, this is the best Blitzwing made thus far (FT is bloody over priced...). All 3 forms, Robot > jet > tank. Compare with KFC's blitzwing, this one loses on the tank form but wins on the other 2 forms. KFC robot form has stability issue (heavy backpack), so if you are on a budget and want get a blitzwing for your collection, this is probably the one to go with.

I still dont get why Travis Knight made Blitzwing into a Seeker in the Bumblebee movie when he made everything else so accurate to the G1 characters. Maybe the sequel will have the military combine the remains of Blitzwing and the 2 other triple changers into the traditional Blitzwing.
I was okay with the head visibility, but not the way it weirdly gets placed to the side. That's being fussy though, as this otherwise looks like it's cracked the code to making all three Blitzwing modes look good.

To its credit, it does take the opportunity to turn the cannon into a handheld weapon.
That is one good lookin triple changer! Blitz-Wing was never one of my favorite characters BUT I am blown away by the engineering and the sculpt!

The jet mode is going to suffer greatly, and the tank mode looks a bit boxy. You can tell the robot mode was the priority, and it looks great.

The jet mode is solid. It has less tank kibble than the cartoon jet mode and looks more like a jet. The tank mode is a serious let down though

As seamless as one could ask for. So much better than new designs with their kibble.

I had both Astrotrain and Blitzwing as a kid. I gotta say, this Blitzwing, is way more complicated, but way cooler looking.

Excellent sequences as always. Plane and robot look great. Things fall apart in tank mode though. Even e G1 Blitzwing looks better in tank mode.

Everything was good, until the visible head in tank mode. Ah man..... That's actually funny. Well at least it is G1 accurate.
For me, the dealbreaker was not having the tank cannon integrated into the design.
