I never understood why the Academy on Dantooine was left abandoned and never reoccupied after Kotor 2. It would have been relatively easy to re-establish the enclave rather than build a new one from scratch somewhere else.

I think rebuilding straight after KOTOR 2 would have been difficult since the locals had strong anti jedi sentiments cause of the bombing and the Jedi being jedi before that. By the time the locals became more amenable to it, the enclave may have fallen into worse disrepair and mostly anything of value was taken.
Honestly, the ancient Jedi order before Exar Kun was so much better..... Much more difficult to take out many small cells than it is to take out a single target.

Geetsly's Hey Geetsly...I gather that you’re located in the Midwest of the US? I had pictured you living down under.
I like the idea of Jedi Watchmen. Needing to go off on one's own to seek out Masters teaching specific skills would be a good way to keep Jedi connected to the larger galaxy, rather than closing themselves off in one location. Staying in one location creates attachment, stagnation, and a vulnerability to the influence of local government. Not to mention how convenient it is for someone to kill most of your order when so many are under one roof.

The Jedi Temples on Jedha, Lothal and Ahch-To...when were those constructed?
As an aside, Disney Canon states that the first Jedi Temple was on Ahch-To. I interpret this to be the first temple constructed by the newer order of the Jedi and not the far older precursor Je'daii Order, who constructed nine temples, as I recall, on Tython with each one related to one of the Tho Yor that transported the Force sensitives to Thython circa 36,000 BBY.
Well technically "the first jedi temple" in Legends was not Tython because it was home of the Je'daii. It wasn't Ossus because technically that was a Jedi Library. Not a temple. As much as I hate Disney canon the "First Temple on Ahch-To doesn't change Legends canon because it was never pointed out in Legends.

Hey Geetsly's I love your work, super informative. Have you ever thought about making a videos discussing the differences between clone drivers, ARF troopers, pilots, and gunners? I feel like a lot of their roles and jobs and appearances overlap, and I'm having trouble finding definitive answers online. For example, a ton of different troop types operated AT-RTs over the course of the show and episode 3.
I was sure that the jedi of the agricultural corps had their own outpost somewhere in the galaxy. There's even a comic showing Sidious and Vader coming to said outpost to turn the jedi there to the dark side.
You should definitely discuss the Sith temples in your next video

This info about the Jedi makes, it sound like that they became more paranoid as time moved on. And the also by this info makes it sound like that the Jedi was the ones who caused the Sith to rise, because of the Jedi growing more paranoid

If it wasn’t for the Jedi paranoia, the Jedi and sith would have lived in peace. The CIS wouldn’t have formed without the hands of Palestine and dooku and the empire would have never risen.

Honestly I’m curious the most on the history of the great Jedi library on Ossus and the dark temple on Dromund Kaas. It’s hard to find a lot of lore on them. I know Ossus was destroyed by the sith but it seems like Ossus plays a bigger role than Ilum.
You forgot temples found after the clone wars during the rebellion which there's at least 15 known ones and the main one ezrra used was on lothal and a few other planets

Do you have any links to the Nomi Sunrider story? A married Jedi in the original lore, witnessed her husband murdered then went on the run? Bit hazy on the story but was a brilliant comic/graphic novel back in the day.
Why stop at just learning more about the Jedi and Sith organization, there is so much more to learn about how other organizations and group worked, The CIS, the GAR, the Hutts, other criminal syndicates like Mauls, the Empire, the Rebels when they actually all started coming together and becoming a more cohesive unit in 2 BBY, and so on.
Jeddah, Lothal & Ach-to didn't even get a mention!?

They weren't passed down to later generations like Mandalorion armor is and every padawan has to build their own custom made saber

Lightsabers werent always a jedi weapon. A lightsaber is built by the padawan to match their personal fighting style and something about the force crystals. The disney movies lore doesnt count.

Look at it this way.
The vast majority of all jedi are hominids, meaning that they have a head with two eyes, a nose and a mouth in the same locations as humans do. Most have two arms with ten fingers and two legs with ten toes. In other words, except for purely external reasons, a human, a wookie, a twi'lek, a togruta and dozens if not hundreds of other species look enough like a human to be considered in the SW galaxy to be "near human"
Sure you have a few species that have tridactyl hands like Yoda or tentacles rather than hands or something like that but for the most part, they're hominid
No matter what form of lightsaber combat you use, no matter how you hold the lightsaber, you're using the same grip as just about any other hominid Jedi would use
So how different could the majority of lightsabers be?

As far as I understand it it's partly because of the need to properly set and attune the weapon, something which is even more important in canon than in legends and partly because the construction of the weapon is part of their trials.
What about the temple on Lothal?
Probably only counting Legends. Lothal is Discanon.

You're wrong though, it was the jediah who followed the light that wanted to banish the dark (bogan) and have only light while the dark (bogan) wanted equality. You should get major facts like this right as it spreads miss-information smh

Where's the Yavin Temple
Yavin was built as a Dark Side Temple and wasn't truly claimed by the Light until around 10 ABY when Luke's academy defeated the spirit of Exar Kun

Hi Geetsly love the video but you missed the jedi world of Ahch To which is supposed to be the original home world of the jedi
Ahch To is just Kathleen trying to scrub the lore again. Just like how they tried to retcon the existence of Korriban, they tried to retcon the existence of Tython too and replace it with Ahch To. Though that being said, based on the quality of the writing it could also be the case that Rian Johnson simply didn’t care enough about the series to ever even bother looking up if the Jedi home world was pre-established in the lore and just decided to make a new one up to say he was original
