    Thanks Mike. My sewer blockage was pretty stuborn but I got a spanner and took off the end spring on the nozzle so the forward jet shot straight out....bit of elbow greese and Bob's you're uncle. I had two 90 degree bends and found it turned back on itself, so I taped this tube to another, slightly stiffer and larger diameter hose to provide a bit more hose solidity and so it would not bend back on itself. This step made a huge difference for me. Overall, $48 from bunnings versus two seperate plumber quotes for $450.......agree totally that this is a great tool for the home. Thanks again.

      Glad you got your problem fixed, I found this to be very useful, going to clean out my drainage piped around the shed soon, to make sure they flow freely. This can save you a fortune, especially if you already have a pressure cleaner.

    Sounds good Mike and always worth a try before calling a plumber and paying a fortune

      I honestly think this will clear 90% of blockages most people would have. If you already have a pressure washer it's definitely worth trying out before paying out the big $$

    Grabbed one of these at the weekend. Don't have a blockage, but for the price, it's worth having just in case.

      I have used it twice now and it works great, want to clean out some drains near my shed as well soon.

    I need to clean out a friend's telecommunications lead-in conduit so they can get internet hooked up. I'm wondering if this will fit inside the conduit and around the bends. Conduit is 20mm diameter internally with tightest bends of 100mm radius.
    I think I'll have to go to Bunnings with a conduit bend and see if can get through it.

    • @MikesManCave
      @MikesManCave  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think you will be pushing it, 20mm is very small. Most lead ins are way bigger than that. Let me know how you go.

    • @iamdave84
      @iamdave84 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Underground comms conduit is named after it's internal diameter. Comms P20 is very similar in size to electrical 25mm conduit. It's by far the most common size used for single dwelling houses. 10mm (internal) and direct burried 😬 are also common in some older/rural areas.

    Hi. I have an Ozito 2030psi pressure washer, But the above Gerni 15M Drain and Tuber cleaner extension doesn't fit. What sort of adaptor should I use?

    • @MikesManCave
      @MikesManCave  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I am not sure such an adapter exists, most pressure cleaner manufacturers have their own attachments. I don't think many interchange as they all use their own fittings.

      G’day I know this is a year old but other people may read it
      If you have a different machine you can buy a few different adapters from EBay to run the gerni hose on different machines! If you just put in gerni adapter for pressure washer they come up cheers
      Ps these drain cleaner hose really works perfect

    Good review and I have had one for a few years now - my question is how might I extend the length? I need about 30m minimum and called Gerni who told me they don't have an extension for the drain cleaner hose. All it needs is an extension hose with the appropriate male + female ends (but different from the standard extension that connects the other side of the wand handle).
    Any ideas?

    • @MikesManCave
      @MikesManCave  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      NO idea. I have never seen an extension for that part.

    • @everyhandletaken

      Did you figure something out?
      Sounds like you need to speak to a hose fitter & see what then can offer there

    • @johnmcmurray191
      @johnmcmurray191 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@everyhandletaken nothing available to extend the Gerni hose as it uses proprietary connectors so I went to a couple of hose guys who laughed at the Gerni hose as it is such poor quality and quoted me like AUD$400 for a 30m hose with fittings! - all in all not a good outcome so nothing achieved.

    • @everyhandletaken
      @everyhandletaken ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johnmcmurray191 $400?! Wow.. that is crazy. I guess that is why the Gerni 15m jet hose is only $45 then.
      I noticed there is a 7m extension hose at Bunnings, which is a bit short for your purpose though & not sure about the fitting type or whether you can join multiple together.
