Folks: FYI the C3 comes with a plastic handlebar mount as standard, a metal ball mount like the one I have is available for an additional $19 (£15) if required.
Good video TMF. Some negativity below about being a sell out, how are we bikers supposed to know about the working of these products if people like you don’t review them for us. I for one am glad you’ve made a video on it! Thanks 👌
@@TheMissendenFlyer Hi Andy, I have just ordered mine and now received a message from Aocci to say do I want to stick with the straight plastic attachment or the spherical metal bracket. It’s $19 extra for the metal bracket. Do you think this is what you were sent by Aocci? It might be worth trying to find out and clarifying for your viewers because there’s an additional cost if that is the case. At the moment I don’t know whether to stick with the plastic bracket or pay the extra $19 for what I think you’ve been sent. Cheers.
I have to say I wasn't convinced when I first saw yours then I heard how much, for the money you really can't complain, so far mine has been solid as a rock and (including the mount) costs less than a Quadlock!

About 30-35% on top of your normal premium. It's based on winter months being historically more harsh and therefore higher risk. The winters of late havnt been particularly cold and sometimes even mildish, which with heated seat and gloves would be fine for a ride out. My Tiger 800 costs me about £400 for a year bearing in mind that the bike cost 20 grand new due to 180% import tax and 25% vat so they ain't cheap here

Thanks TMF, I've ordered mine. Just to other purchasers if thinking of buying for Christmas, the shipping time is 6-10 days (not TMF's fault) - I ordered mine on the 21/11/2024 and am still awaiting for it to be delivered to my home address on 29/11/2024, with the last tracking update saying it had arrived in the GB via international flight on 26/11/2024. Morning Andy, Good to know this is the only Aoochi model that I can see with USB charging functionality. I have emailed them to see if they intend to have USB charging on the others like the C6 & C9. Also if they might do a direct to BMW nav mount like Carpuride & Chigee. Will let you know their reply.👍
I bought an unbranded one from eBay two months ago. I agree Andy, it’s a no brainer and massively cheaper than a dedicated sat nav. I paid just £60 for mine.
Morning Andy, as far as I’m concerned it’s a case of C3? P.O.! (See what I did there?😋) I already have a quad lock anti vibration mount so I can just use my phone directly for navigation. As for playing music through headphones on the bike, personally I think it’s distracting and removes part of the motorcycling experience. I also have a Beeline unit I can use on either my Honda Dax or Kawasaki Eliminator. Each to their own though and some people will obviously feel differently about it. My Christmas present is a Goldtop Submariners merino wool sweater in Ecru in their Black Friday sale down from £120 to £102. Gorgeous, heavy weight, warm and beautifully made will keep me warm on and off the bike.😁
Thanks Andy, I have been impressed with the functionality you have shared on recent videos and today, and have ordered one for my RE650 Interceptor where I currently use my Garmin which I swap from BMW to RE, but thought this would give me benefits for the Android phone I have. I also have a twin USB outlet on the bars and a ball mount. So good to go hopefully!
What an excellent unit, and what a price. Unfortunately, my Christmas and New Years present was a new furnace and water heater. As we're getting 2-3 feet of snow in the next 5 days. I guess this was a better no brainer for me. Lol. 👍👍
Personally, I reuse my old smartphone for this duty - got it in a quadlock, and tether to my actual phone's data (kept in my jacket pocket), and run calimoto. Perrrrrrfect and gives my old tech a new lease of life
@TheMissendenFlyer it wasn't a dig, I'm not on the bandwagon of bemoaning you promoting these things, I enjoy your content and understand you have to pay the bills - it was just another take on the whole bike nav kit is all
I used the other link to get the other one , now awaiting delivery, new bike to fit it to next year Yamaha MT09 Y-AMT to replace my Honda NC700S, I have three bikes so I will do the same as you and make it swappable.
I did some research, and it seems like the C5 Pro and C6 Pro come with a camera and tire pressure monitoring, which makes them a bit pricier. Using the 22% discount code TMF22, the prices are: C3: $92.82 (~£72) C5 Pro: $155.99 (~£122) C6 Pro: $170.82 (~£134) I think I’ll start by testing the C3 since it’s affordable and low-risk at just £72. Excited to see how it performs!
I got the C6pro on Lamb Chops discount code and it's outstanding value for money. Sony sensor 1080p cameras. Handy using the rear cam as a rear view mirror. The only issue I have is the GPS speed is locked in km/h and the tyre pressures in psi are just converted from bar so they can jump by 2 psi because of decimal rounding. The best thing is it gets my expensive phone off my handle bars. Love it. If you want the dash cams and tpms just go for it. You won't be disappointed.
Yes you can get other models with extra functionality but I wanted something simple to install. You are correct though, my link gives a 22% discount on ANY model in the range….
Had one for a few months now, here in Australia, works great and the best thing is you can move it from bike to bike, just need usb power. Simple usb socket from eBay wire up to battery and you’re good to go.
Hi Andy, Was looking at a quadlock, but saw this as a better solution. Hopefully it's as good as the reviews......... Bikes MotoGuzzi V7 Special and a 1998 VFR800..... Thanks for the discount. ;-)
Thanks for the info Andy. It looks interesting but I’ll be sticking with my Tom-Tom Rider. Had it for several years, works perfectly, never let me down anywhere in the world (I take it with me), is small enough to fit on any of my bikes, and I don’t need to keep ‘following technology’ coz it’ll still be working when insects rule the earth again. BTW, does it do anything that your Apple phone doesn’t do already and you just save the £70? Normally I don’t spend much time looking at my screen on a motorbike; I much prefer to look where I’m going. Have a lovely weekend! 😉😉😁👍
Well the chigee integrates with the BMW Mount a treat soI still use mine on that, the chigee is also arguably better built - it's just this is such good value in comparison I couldn't help but make a video about it....it's cheaper than a mount for goodness sake!
Thanks very much for help with discount , easy to do , I’ve ordered one 😊😊. Can I ask what I should buy to fit on my bike as I don’t know what’s the best handlebars fitting to buy ?
Thank you Mr. Flyer for the 'heads up' on a real bargain. I've just forwarded the video to my son and daughter in law.....you never know. As for the 'doomsters' amongst us, those of us who have got to 'know you' also know if it wasn't as good as advertised, you would also tell us.
Cheers Gary - I'm not saying it's perfect (screen could be a bit brighter, would be good if it had a "quick release" function) but for the money it is outstanding value! Good luck with your pressie quest....
Looks like a great deal. Question - as my bike lives outdoors in a carpark when I'm not riding it, can I remove this unit easily or is it wired in permanently? Excuse the ignorance but I've been googling for the last hour or so and can find nothing about whether it's removable or not.
Andy, ordered the unit, what is the best way to connect to helmet I am not that tecky and would love to make my phone hands free when riding you seem to be the man with the plan, keep up the good work
@@TheMissendenFlyer I kinda get that but is there a particular intercom that you would recommend that I could use for taking calls on phone while riding?
Good value for money. I bought the Chigee which is a lot more expensive, albeit it does have cameras and (at additional cost) tyre pressure sensors. This should be pretty popular. Carplay linked up to a Cardo is brilliant.
Nice unit, saw the review John did on a different model a while back. However this one does the job at a great stocking filling price. Seasons Greetings!
Hi Andy, thanks for the recommendation. I’ve ordered mine with the metal mount. Can anybody give an indication of delivery time scale and will I get stiffed for import duty? Brgds
This looks great. I ride a Indian scout which has a usb c power output on the speedo What power cable is required if I don’t want it hard wired Cheers 😊
Good review, a couple of questions, how much does it drain your iPhone Battery if the phone's not plugged into power and is there a way of using it as a Digital Speedo?.
Not sure I can answer those with any degree of expertise - I have a new iPhone 16max pro with a big battery and I've never noticed it drain the battery significantly but I'm yet to use it for a full day. Guess if you had a speedo app that works with Apple Carplay then fine!
Looks good. I got an autonevee unit from ali Express with tpms and front and rear cameras for £92 odd. For me, the simplicity of use is great. Has everything i want and need and replaced my standalone camera system (which also had tpms), which cost me over £100 more than my android auto unit. The only thing i would like is a separate remote for changing the camera views and locking files, but i can live without that. Had it on around 4 months now and not had any issues with it. Will be buying another one for my other bike and more for any other bikes i get.
Thanks Andy - I've ordered one. Could I ask whether the mount shown on your bike in the vid is the one supplied with the unit, or if not what mount you are using?
Thank you! I don't like doing these out and out sales videos but when something comes along that I genuinely believe is a bargain, I'm glad I'm able to share!
Hi Andy, ah... that's how you do it? 😊 I was contacted to promote the C6 (even my little channel) but declined. I think it's certainly a bit of an art form to be able to present in front of the camera, which you and the other guys have evolved over the years of doing YT and do a good job at it. Certainly good value. How does it hold up in bad weather and raindrops hitting the screen? Would it be similar to a phone, in that it swipes and auto launches apps etc. Thx G
Perfect timing MF. I was looking for a Christmas present for my riding buddy. I looked up one of your older videos on an off brand ACP and was disappointed it was that expensive. This one is perfect. So perfect I'm ordering two. Thanks again. 👍
I ordered the c6pro last week! With the discount from Richy Vita and I ordered a customized boot logo for the start up screen will have a picture that I sent them.
I bought a Chigee Aio-5 for Bmw. Once I had it I realised that I didn't need it. I don't use itunes as i prefer to buy my music, not rent access to it. (I can load as many songs, podcasts etc on the sim card in my Nav 5) I dont use Waze or Calimoto as again its subscription, and my Nav5 works perfectly well from satellites not google maps via a phone connection. It also means that when I'm with friends, we all get the same route on the standard fitted Nav 5, rather than conflicting directions. I never use the phone connection to recieve calls as I've never known a call be important enough that I can't ring back when I stop for a break.. I have never had much luck with Siri understanding what I'm saying and then dialing a random number from my phone book! So I sold it for more than I paid for it (because I had 20% off when I bought it) I'm now waiting to be called a Dinosaur or a ludite for not embracing modern tech. 🤣
Yes fascinating that isn't it Richard - I usually publish with three different to see which performs best - normally they're within a few % of each other with no clear winner....
I have ordered mine and just got a message from Aocci asking if I want a straight plastic bracket or a spherical metal bracket. There is an additional $19 to pay for the spherical metal bracket. What option did everyone choose? I have an Africa Twin and I’m not sure if the plastic bracket is going to be ok or not.
Cool idea but in practice the GPS is only good if there is cell service. If you venture off the beaten path youll find the GPS no longer works and your phone has overheated. It turns out you do need a dedicated GPS like garmin, and save your phone for communication and yes google stuff. This apple/android carplay became a trend in cars and then hit bikes. Perhaps Honda did it right, but BMW did not. I think the ones, in cars too, where you have a wired connection it work well.
Actually the way the nav apps work, once a route is selected it is downloaded to your phone, so if you temporarily lose service, you don’t lose routing. It works well, I used CarPlay throughout my recent European/alpine tour and never lost routing despite being in the mountains….
Already have my phone on a quad lock but this would be good for adventure tourers to have dedicated maps on a larger screen 🤔 does it seem pretty weatherproof Andy?
No discount for non-UK I guess, not that it's super expensive as is. Looking a the C5 is pretty interesteing too - dual dashcams front-back and even the option of tire pressure monitoring if you don't have that on the bike (which I don't). Hmm. Might be time to invest. Can't hurt to have dashcams in case things go sideways for whatever reason. They do also (if you look at the homepage) have a Black Friday generic code, maybe I'll try that.
On a naked/retro bike, I can't lie - I think it just looks daft. If it were integrated into the bar brace area perhaps I'd like it more? Technology is better today than needing to have a unit that large, with a screen bezel so large. I suspect it's a second hand screen/unit from an older phone that's been uploaded with new software. Surely that's a neon sign for thieves too?
Well it's either for you or it isn't - I agree they don't look great on retro bikes but I need it there for a particular trip I have coming up soon, I will then move it to another of my bikes - defo would look better on a touring or adventure bike agreed....
Have I heard correctly that you can charge the device from a USB port? I didn’t buy the C5 or 6 because it has to be hard wired… but if I can plug it into my USB charger then I’m ordering one.
I have the Carpuride version. Works fine, but losses the bluetooth signal when the phone gets too hot. So cannot leave the phone in the tank bag but have to leave it on a bike mount, which sort of defeats the purpose.
Folks: FYI the C3 comes with a plastic handlebar mount as standard, a metal ball mount like the one I have is available for an additional $19 (£15) if required.

I used the other link to get the other one , now awaiting delivery, new bike to fit it to next year Yamaha MT09 Y-AMT to replace my Honda NC700S, I have three bikes so I will do the same as you and make it swappable.
Interesting vid TMF. Got me thinking what I might get myself for Xmas as no one else will lol.
Exactly!
Happy Christmas Andy 🎄
Same to you!
I did some research, and it seems like the C5 Pro and C6 Pro come with a camera and tire pressure monitoring, which makes them a bit pricier. Using the 22% discount code TMF22, the prices are:
C3: $92.82 (~£72)
C5 Pro: $155.99 (~£122)
C6 Pro: $170.82 (~£134)
I think I’ll start by testing the C3 since it’s affordable and low-risk at just £72.
Cheers TMF. Looks good 👍
Waiting for mine to arrive
Hi Andy! Great offer! Just bought one!
Greetings from Peter.
Nice one Peter - hope you get on OK with it, mine has been great thus far.
Just ordered one of these as hopefully easier to see than my phone screen. Also got birthday coming up so treating myself. Cheers Andy 👍
Happy birthday!
@TheMissendenFlyer thank you 😁
Had one for a few months now, here in Australia, works great and the best thing is you can move it from bike to bike, just need usb power. Simple usb socket from eBay wire up to battery and you’re good to go.
That's what I've done....
Hi Andy, Was looking at a quadlock, but saw this as a better solution. Hopefully it's as good as the reviews......... Bikes MotoGuzzi V7 Special and a 1998 VFR800..... Thanks for the discount. ;-)
No problem 👍
Order placed! Thanks Andy🙂
Hope you enjoy it!
Well that’s fine if you already have a dedicated nav, the point is this is far far cheaper.
I bought the chigee yesterday, after watching your chigee vid. Maybe I should have waited one more day. 😂
It comes with all you need to fit it - a RAM mount type thing.....
Ordered! Thank-you sir!,
No problemo - hope you get on well with it....
Just ordered one for the Wife's Triumph Trident 660 for Christmas... if she hates it then I will say you told me to buy it :)
Fair play!
You can remove it but you need to use a special tool (which they provide with the device) so it is a bit of a faff....not a "Quick Release" device....
@TheMissendenFlyer thanks.
Andy, ordered the unit, what is the best way to connect to helmet I am not that tecky and would love to make my phone hands free when riding you seem to be the man with the plan, keep up the good work
Intercom connects to phone, phone connects to unit....I think!
@@TheMissendenFlyer I kinda get that but is there a particular intercom that you would recommend that I could use for taking calls on phone while riding?
Those bar ends rock!
Just took the plunge, thanks 😊
No problem.
Good value for money. I bought the Chigee which is a lot more expensive, albeit it does have cameras and (at additional cost) tyre pressure sensors. This should be pretty popular. Carplay linked up to a Cardo is brilliant.
Yes it is a great system (I have a Chigee on my GS - it's good but cost nearly 5 times as much)
Nice unit, saw the review John did on a different model a while back. However this one does the job at a great stocking filling price.
Seasons Greetings!
Well exactly - at that price pretty much a no brainer I reckon….
Hi Andy, thanks for the recommendation. I’ve ordered mine with the metal mount. Can anybody give an indication of delivery time scale and will I get stiffed for import duty? Brgds
I now know what I want for Xmas...!
This looks great. I ride a Indian scout which has a usb c power output on the speedo
What power cable is required if I don’t want it hard wired
Cheers 😊
It comes with a hard wire harness or USB "A" connector so just plug into the bike and go (that's what I do)
@ cheers 👋
Sounds n looks a quality item for seventy quid, only questions I'd have is about updates?👍
Not sure you need them as it uses Carplay - so any updates to apps are on your phone....
Nice one
Thanks for the review TMF, where there’s a decent biking bargain, count me in! Trouble is, can’t see your code on the screen…..🤔
Sorry TMF, now sorted….
Well done Nige....
Thanks Andy - I've ordered one. Could I ask whether the mount shown on your bike in the vid is the one supplied with the unit, or if not what mount you are using?
Yes it comes supplied with the unit - as I said, amazing value!
Wow, that was a hell of a commission pitch 👍
Thank you! I don't like doing these out and out sales videos but when something comes along that I genuinely believe is a bargain, I'm glad I'm able to share!
@TheMissendenFlyer I bet the price doubles very shortly.
To be fair it would still be a bargain at twice the price!
Hi Andy , thanks for the heads up, ordered, its way to sunny Fuerteventura,🌞
Nice - looking forward to getting out to the Canaries again next month!
Good morning Andy I have a update from the supplier they don't deliver to the Canaries 😢@@TheMissendenFlyer
Hi Andy, ah... that's how you do it? 😊
I was contacted to promote the C6 (even my little channel) but declined.
Thx
G
Yes absolutely works like a phone - just start the bike and off it goes, works a treat thus far! Thnaks for the kind words!
@TheMissendenFlyer apologies. I wasn't clear. Does it play up when rain drops hit the screen?
Ta
G
Not so far - mind you I haven' been in a downpour with it
I think they do one with the two cameras as well 👍👍
Go for it - my discount will still work!
Ordered 👍 much better than having your phone on the bars
I agree!
Just received the higher spec one with front and rear cameras. Waiting for a healtech thunderbox before installing. Feels a very solid bit of kit.
Nice 👍
Perfect timing MF. I was looking for a Christmas present for my riding buddy. I looked up one of your older videos on an off brand ACP and was disappointed it was that expensive. This one is perfect. So perfect I'm ordering two. Thanks again. 👍
Glad I could help!
Did you use the supplied plastic clamps or did you get an upgrade to metal, I just had an email offering an upgrade for around £15
I have the metal one….
I ordered the c6pro last week! With the discount from Richy Vita and I ordered a customized boot logo for the start up screen will have a picture that I sent them.
Nice!
I bought a Chigee Aio-5 for Bmw. Once I had it I realised that I didn't need it.
I don't use itunes as i prefer to buy my music, not rent access to it. (I can load as many songs, podcasts etc on the sim card in my Nav 5)
I dont use Waze or Calimoto as again its subscription, and my Nav5 works perfectly well from satellites not google maps via a phone connection.
So I sold it for more than I paid for it (because I had 20% off when I bought it)
I'm now waiting to be called a Dinosaur or a ludite for not embracing modern tech. 🤣
Fair enough points - my suggestion is you don't buy one!
Spotted two different thumb nails to this video this morning. It's quite interesting checking the stats in TH-cam to see which does better.
Yes fascinating that isn't it Richard - I usually publish with three different to see which performs best - normally they're within a few % of each other with no clear winner....
I presume this would also work well in an older car that doesnt have carplay etc...
Yes indeed....
Got mine think it was about £76 but still cheap as chips takes it’s time to arrive but arrive it did.
I have the Spherical metal one.....
I am sure i saw another youtuber review the C6 pro and it had intergrated GPS on the unit.
Already have my phone on a quad lock but this would be good for adventure tourers to have dedicated maps on a larger screen 🤔 does it seem pretty weatherproof Andy?
So far so good and we've had some rain of late! It claims to be waterproof....
Hi Andy! Great offer! But did you pay tax. I know you’re in UK, but what about EU?
Greetings from Peter.
I think they ship internationally....
My link should work for you wherever you are - discount is applied at the end jsut before you hit "Buy"
You heard correctly - comes with a USB lead to plug it into power (as well as a wiring harness for diurect to battery) - just plug in and go!
I have the Carpuride version. Works fine, but losses the bluetooth signal when the phone gets too hot. So cannot leave the phone in the tank bag but have to leave it on a bike mount, which sort of defeats the purpose.
How strange! I’ve not had any issues thus far….
Is the screen brightness enough for viewing on a sunny day?
It doesn’t look the brightest?
It could be brighter to be fair but at £70 I cut it some slack!
Is it affected by heat? Does it have a battery? Can you load any maps and routes on it ?
It uses the apps on your phone - if you can load routes and maps on them then cushty....
