Cabover semis are cool & old school. You don't see many of them on the roads here in the USA anymore like you use to back in the day when the length law was different.

Nice Astro. One of the trucks I learned to drive on was a 1974 Astro. I drove the two 1985 Astros at K.O. Express and a 1978 with stoughkoff ready mix. The one thing I don't like about them is it's not easy getting in and out of the sleeper.

O-H-I-O Porter greetings.🇺🇸 This is one clean looking cabover!🥰 You can surely see pretty well out the front with that big windshield. I’ve never seen one with both types of lights on the cab. Cool! I drove one for Cardinal Container in Columbus, Ohio. Several guys hated that truck, but I loved driving it. They treated it like a garbage can & I always cleaned them out when I drove them. That truck would still get up & roll with that 318 Detroit it had in it. I wish I had pictures of it. For a cabover, it was rather easy to get into the cab. Nice truck & it sounds good! 🥰🤩✌️

That brings back memories of , even though I like Jimmy’s. While attending college in Klamath Falls , Oregon and in the late 70’s living at the North Entrance Motel across Hwy 97 at the other motel a group of log truck drivers had at least 10 of those Astro 95 cab overs as log trucks. They would start those trucks up at 3.30am and go into high idle at 1800rpm , every F--ing morning. I quit using my alarm clock. Then to make matters worse BNSF and UP main line was on the west side of the motel about 100yards west. If it wasn’t those F--ing log trucks , it was those dam trains.🤪🤪🤪🤪

Never really cared for those Detroit Vs. Never reslly cared for the GMC and Chevy cabovers easy. To me they seemed if you hit your brakes stopped you woukd go face first. Took a little wile to get used to them with the drop windshiels snd lower dashes. But still wish I had one like this. So many on the road and now none.
Sweet big truck though. Miss them. Woyld love to drive it but if you gave a new driver this truck they prolly wouldnt even fit in it or even know how to get in it. I would rather drive this Jimmy than the Pete in the background though.

Both had Fuller RoadRanger 13 speeds. Man it was loud in there and the passenger seat was solidly mounted and it would beat you to death.
