I have a model of the GMC. l bought it in 2019 and built it last year. I painted it Testors Extreme Lacquer Revving Red with a red interior.

Never really cared for those Detroit Vs. Never reslly cared for the GMC and Chevy cabovers easy. To me they seemed if you hit your brakes stopped you woukd go face first. Took a little wile to get used to them with the drop windshiels snd lower dashes. But still wish I had one like this. So many on the road and now none. Sweet big truck though. Miss them. Woyld love to drive it but if you gave a new driver this truck they prolly wouldnt even fit in it or even know how to get in it. I would rather drive this Jimmy than the Pete in the background though.

I love the original looks to these trucks ,were losing them every single day someone buys and restores these trucks they restore them back to some stupid looking more modern dumb crap they put on. keep them original

How much for the Pete

Its really amazing that I would rather own and drive the trucks on the wagons than the trucks pulling them. But change out those steps on the KW. Those are the steps/grab bars that came on the square headlighted K100s. As miserable as cabovers are they are fun to drive and makes you feel like a real truck driver. Not to mention manueverability.

I think it was so cool the year the Astro was introduced that we landed on the Moon too, So Aero and Space Age when I first saw it. Blew me away at 10 tys old. Love those and all of em really.

My neighbor back in the 70's drove truck and had a GMC exactly like this except it was a rear single axel. Just to hear him take off I would run out the door and watch him take off and listen to that Detroit scream.

Cabover semis are cool & old school. You don't see many of them on the roads here in the USA anymore like you use to back in the day when the length law was different.
