Enjoyed your video! I have three dogs. My toy poodle is 11, and I've had him from birth; the other two small chihuahua-mixes I got from animal shelters a couple of years ago. One of the dogs is supposed to be about 14, and the other is supposed to be about six. Not puppies! Despite letting my dogs out a minimum of six times a day, the adopted dogs are still marking everywhere inside my house, while I'm at home. Fun, right? Ha! The disposable dog diapers were a huge disappointment. All three of the dogs "escaped" them, even though they were the right size. One TH-camr suggested cutting a tail hole in a disposable baby diaper. Worked fine on the poodle, but not on the other two. I had better luck putting the baby diapers on sideways, making them into belly bands. The poodle is still the only one that will leave them on, but at least I had some success with the other two. I'm going to make belly bands, and use the rest of the disposable diapers as liners in the belly bands.

Hi thanks for watching. I would try and put the diaper on and feel through the diaper where the tail starts and mark it with a pen take the diaper off and cute the hole. You just don’t want it too low. Hopefully this will help
So I use male wraps for my small male dog. I try to bath him once a week. He wairs one because he has trouble going inside. I use washable ones and change it regularly. He pees a lot throughout the day but also gets outside time regularly. He gets a resh from it sometimes, do you have a wipe recommendation? Something safe and antibacterial for in-between bath time? Or even a diy mix I can make? The vet gave me some liquid as well for the rash. But I want to wipe him between changes. I try to let him be diaper free for 30-40 mins after he gets outside time so he can clean himself/dry off.
Hi there thanks for watching and commenting. That’s the problem with the wraps there probably isn’t enough air getting at him so it causes a rash. There are wipes for dogs but maybe try using a diaper for a few days so that it’s not wrapped as tightly to heal the rash. Or leave it off of him at night and put it in during the day.
I have a very sweet old dog with cataracts who can’t find her pee pads anymore. Thinking the diapers are a good option…can they still poop with tail cut out…she’s only 5lbs so I’m not worried about that. Just urine on my rugs on wood floors. Thank you!!
hey there,obviously was watching the video because my elderly french bull dog is having poop problems and was looking for a solution to not having to wake up to his bed being covered in poop,is there any diaper which will help with is rear end...it is only very small ammounts which come out but having to wash his bed towel everyday,(and sometimes his bed if he manages to dig the towel out),is a chore which i do not look forward to when returning from work or waking up...i love him to bits so your help would be most welcome....i am also in the UK...thank you for the video

The Velcro reusable diapers are the best in my opinion. But I always have a terrible time putting the tail through the Velcro diaper. my 2yr old female Pom does not make it easy Getting her tail (which I think was broken at the tip at some point) into the tail hole. I use the removable pads so I don’t have to mess around too much but this task is making me pull my hair out. I’ve even tried to just leave her tail in the diaper but found that can be messy. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Hi thanks for watching. Yes sometimes I have had the tail slip back into the diaper I think you just have to make sure they are snug enough around the bum area so there isn’t a lot of fabric moving around when they are walking and running.❤️🐶❤️
It's extremely simple to buy an amazingly absorbent diaper for a dog, then just poke a hole for the tail. The diaper is "Crinklz", a well-priced option; and what is good is they are LONG, and absorbent in the front. So they are great for male dogs. You can adjust them forward. They also have an extra tape system to them, so if you miss, you can try again (last chance tapes). These are really helpful for an elderly dog that has hard issues with wetting, and they absorb well, so they won't get infections or rashes. It's better putting a diaper on them, than restricting their water intake which ruins their organs! (Many people do that, and it's so not good to do. Use diapers!) They sell them at Walmart, and other places. I found some at Northshore. They also sell doggie pee matts. The tail poke hole: Just line it with a soft cloth around the hole you made so the stuffing stays, or simply glue gun it on the inner lining. Yeah, it's kinda a slight project, but your dog loved you all their life so much, and they will appreciate a better way out from your family.😉(plus the diaper is cute! Lol.

My dog at night started to poop at night and goes wherever. On pad on carpet. Since she is small I hate to leave her outside all night. She has a cage I can lock it at night. I'd get a baby diaper cut a hole for tail after fitting it. Cheapest and if you're only gonna use it at night. You can just throw it away. Hope that helps.

My dog is old. And I've been very frustrated because he often has BM at night while Im asleep. He has countless times had accidents on my bed and the couch. plus many times on the floor. I like the idea of underwear. And can see making diapers out of them. Some velcro and some padding. It's sad because for over 16 years he has been allowed on the bed and couch. And now I'm banning him from it. I'm sure he doesn't understand. And yes this has been going on for over a year. But during the summer months its less of a problem. I've even considered putting him down. But always know that I can't. Thanks for the idea of underwear. PS he also use to go everywhere with me. But has BM in the truck a couple times. So thats has stopped also.

I feel for you! My chiweenie mix slopes in her hind end. The diaper keeps slipping off the tail (she tucks it), or slips off completely. 🤔

Have you ever seen a dog grooming table? There is a strap for the neck, and another for the belly. It's usually enough incentive to keep the dog standing. Jury-rigging time.

Hi thanks for watching I would just make sure there are no spots that are rubbing causing any sores and you should also give your pup a break from it. Like when they are outside. I suggest more for temporary use but I know elderly dogs sometimes need it more often. Hope this helps!❤️🐶❤️
NONE of the male wraps have worked for our male dogs in the past. They all bunch up & the dogs can't stand them & just cry or lay in bed from hating them.
