    Great video. Really clearly explained, nice little preventative tips, explains the snags and tools needed, and why.

    I got the same lights, but tinted the bottom white strip, to better match the 957. VHT Red Nite, great match.

    I don't want to replace perfectly good taillights, but will remember this inexpensive upgrade if one of us breaks a taillight lens.

    glad to see you still working on your 955. I sold my 957 GTS in January due to something going on every other week. only had 40k miles on it too. Bought a 2020 Jeep GC Hemi and everything is good. still miss the 957 at times.

      Sorry to hear Duckie! My Cayenne is finally starting to become reliable, hence the so few videos on the car lately. I think my hard work is finally paying off! You really have to be a mechanic or have deep pockets if you're going to own one of these old German beasts. Congrats on the 2020 Jeep GC, those are sweet rides!

      Same here, had to get rid in the end as didnt have access to a garage to do diy, and the indie was expensive

    Not sure if you mentioned in the video, but what are the bulb sizes for the reverse and turn signal in the tail light? Love the new lights btw

    Perfect.. Now I need to admit that the original ones are better looking because of that reddish turn signals but the LED is definitely better because less heat ..less electric consumption and consequently more life to the wiring harness since that is a big problem with porsches. My question is did you get any malfunction in the gauge cluster for installing an aftermarket tail lights ?

      I had no error codes by swapping the OEM taillights for LED. No worries, we all have different tastes. I think they look great and that's all that matters!

    Do you have any issues with the car throwing error codes? I've heard some ppl have to add resistors

    • @DIYDanCars
      @DIYDanCars  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not at all. These cars are terrible reliability wise so if your car is throwing codes all of the time I wouldn't be the least bit surprised.

    Curious on how these lights are still doing?
    I busted one of my taillight and was considering buying a new pair versus one used one.
