This looks like something that fits my own taste of making mods for a car although the led turn signals should have been kept flashing as older ones did.
I love it when in states like Florida and what not, the drivers will equip their cars with the flashing on and off bulbs that are on it's own independent on/off relay. Those bulb not only look stupid they also could cause an accident.
Impeccable work, fantastic result. I also like the original aesthetic, but I recognize the work well done and the result. Unreachable to do if you have no experience and above all, you don't have time. An exceptional job, congratulations.
I love it,sadly i barely understood how to do that because i have no experience to lights and other things you mentioned.I wish i could do what you did,but i need a LED video for dummies😊looks fantastic
I did that with my headlights, personally didnt want to brake the plastic so what I did was heat the seal and start peeling slowly and carefully without braking it, once done with the job I just put new seal plastic and job done.
Boy ive own an alfa gt in Malaysia for years and ive always wanted to do this mod but just never dare to attempt. Thx dude!! YOU ARE AWESOME! Alfa parts in Malaysia is non existence and shipping is expensive! Love the lights bro really thinking if i want to try, but i got no knowledge on electrical 😬
It looks very cool. It's a level of quality that wouldn't be strange even if it was originally attached as a genuine product. The way it shines is very beautiful. I am watching this video from Japan.😉
Such a hard work, as an electrician speaking u are very good. You are professional on whatever you are doing. Thank you very much, if I ever want to do that, I will copy you. You are the best
Fantastic. one of your best videos. however i would never try this, i dont have the skills. If only you lived closer to me, I would pay to have this done.
Not certain what to think of this. It looks amazing, but maybe it's not right for this car. But I love the channel, look forward to see what else you've done since.
screw the purists man looks absolutely amazing...I love you guys with the blue latex gloves and the soldering irons. Very patient and meticulous such great feel for little fiddly stuff. I bet you were great at making models and stuff when you were a kid. I unfortunately was the type of kid who could take everything apart but could never put it back together again. Didn't change while growing up...more power to you
Brilliant job, but I take exception to your caveat that one needs a lot of knowledge about auto electrics to do this job. I'm doing something similar to you for a 1965 Marlin and, when I started, I knew nothing. I'm slowiy getting there.
@@arcgarage agreed - perhaps a full width light bar! Heck, give me a price and I’ll drive over - forget the indicators, just having the red tail & brake lights changing would be fabulous.
I would love to build something like that for my GT, because the Gt has an timeless design. Only thing i really think you could see the age of this car are its lights, so it was always a downside in astetics for me when i looked at my car. But here in Germany its impossible to get TÜV approval for this kind of modifications.... So you just can´t use them here like that, otherwise if the Police sees this, you had to pay a fine up to 500€ for not using original ones. So jeah its all great in Germany until you want to change things on your car, than its a mess.
Looks great! Can you put up a part list with links? Also does hot glue really work that well? I never thought of it being great for anything besides crafts.
Thanks, don't have the links, bought the supplies from the guy in Italy, but if I find the links I will post them. When it comes to hot glue, this is a bit higher quality, with a higher melting point. The sticks are as hard as plastic, and they worked really well...
Excellent job and enough details in explanation! I hope it is properly visible in daylight traffic circumstances... Additionally, maybe non-transparent foil reflective on inner side positioned on outer cover between LED stripes could make much more "contrast" light?
Thanks, camera can't really do it justice. It has great visibility, even in daylight. The strips are red/yellow, so there is contrast between brake light and turn signal...
Thanks for tutorial, i have full black foil on my lamps and i think it will be greate looking with this led lights, oryginal lights are to weak in sunny day :D
Super izgleda,da je dodat jos bijelo svijetlo za rikverc ( mislim da ovi iz future tuninga su i to dodali ) bi bilo jos bolje jer original rikverc ne svijetli kurca.
Wonderful job my friend, I would like to do a job like this for my gt, can you please tell me all the things I have to buy? And if you can also tell me how to make the connections, thanks
Wow...really nice video and great results. I'm sorry on your model you cant take the lens out and you had to cut it, hope you won't have issues with humidity inside the tail lights!
Wow that's really great ! Me and my father would love to have this kind of tailights and the same kind for the headlight but we don't have the skills ^^
skills can be owned..... just do it..... learn.... get a pair of Taillights and start. THAT´s how I started Car Mods and restoring 30 Years ago. No i overhaul Engines, modify Cars and so on. There is no School or Book for this...
Damn! That's a big project indeed, very nice job. I think this is above my skill level tho haha I already have a hard time with the android headunit wiring
Android device? how you connect to turn it off, with the wiring of the original radio?... my Android, it doesn't turn off, in the end I'll have to connect it to the lighter cable, how do you connect? My unit only works if I connect, the orange cable along with red at 12 volt constant (red car wiring): "ill" together too, but then, it does not turn off and start from the last app by touching the stereo switch (not boot logo...). I can't find any pin cable that cuts the power when removing the key...It drops down the battery. Ramon, eres Español?
Thank you very much, I ordered couple more for another project, and I will post a link if they are good, as well as the one for dimmers. I bought these from local guy in Italy since they are hard to find...
The product seems to be gone, is there any other product that is the same or is the link outdated, great video really awsome job! I would really like to know where to buy one of those ledstrips.
Does Europe not allow led compatible flasher relays? Here (US) all we do for non-led lit cars is replace the OEM relay with an led one. Automatically slows the timing and no huge, hot resistors to worry about.

Thank you very much...

@@arcgarage I love your videos. Very helpful thank you. Please could you make a video explaining how to change a pcv valve in an Alfa 147 2.0
I like things staying stock, but those tailights look great.
It is personal preference, but their shape is great, and these LEDs compliment them...
@Deane Larence shut up bot
Nevvvaaaaa ...need that personal touch :)
Ok grandpa
Its pretty rare to see something installed aftermarket look as "coherent" as this
Thanks
Damn what an amazing upgrade, your car looks so much more modern immediately and just looks really great👌🏽

this just shows how timeless alfa romeo designs are. just modernized taillights makes the car look like new recently came out car

Living proof that taillight, headlight are the only thing that matter in modern car design
one of the best diy led conversions I've seen

From 90s to 2023 ❤ well done nice design 🎉

What a great design both car and tail lights. With these tail lights looks so modern like new. Alfa romeo!!!
I agree 100%...
Awesome job and tutorial. I like how it’s a clean minimalist futuristic look. Might have to try this out on my rx7. Oem 93 isn’t cutting it anymore
