They also need martial arts training. I train fighters at a gym i own in Houston. We have 2 cops who train, and they rarely even pull their side arm. The reason is they are so competent in hand to hand that they dont get spooked and start firing. Our military, even in times of war, will spend years training for 3-6 month deployments. Police need far more funding.

I was talking to a Harris supporter the other day, and I said Kamala was being disrespectful by talking about her "experience" at a black church growing up. They said stop with the she aint black thing. I replied it has nothing to do with her race. The issue is she was raised in a traditional Indian household and was raised a Hindu. Nothing wrong with Hindus, but they do not go to Christian churches. We know she is Hindu because there are multiple pictures of her with the forehead dot. I can't remember what it's called. That is a Hindu thing, not an Indian thing. There are millions of Christians in India, and they would never wear the dot.
My husband was raise Catholic. I was raised Jewish. Neither of us subscribes to the idea of an organized religion. Instead, we believe in raising someone who believes in morality, the same morals taught by Jews, Christians, Muslims, Budhists, and most other religions. We do not believe that if you practice living life as a good, moral, generous, honest person, you need to worry about any particular devine being or what happens in an afterlife, because every religion tells us that being a good person is what is most important in the eyes of their particular deity, and, if the religion believes in an afterlife, is what will be rewarded there. Despite this, we want our son to know what his heritage is, and be familiar with religions so, when he gets old enough, he can make his own decision. Therefore, at least once or twice a month he attend synagogue with my very religious Jewish parents, and at least once or twice a month he attends Church with my husband's devout Irish Catholic Aunt and Uncle. We all attend every single Christmas and Easter mass with my husband's family, and every single Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur service with my family. We join my husband's family for Christmas and Easter, and our son loves seeing what Santa Claus delivered and hunting for colored eggs and discovering what goodies are in his Easter basket. We celebrate Chanukah and Passover with my family, and my son loves getting a gift after lighting the menorah each night, and learned all the hebrew words to the 4 questions for the Passover Seder. Our home hosts both families for secular holidays like Thanksgiving and Fourth of July, where we always start with a short "Christian-style" grace before we eat, and end our meals with a "Jewish-style" prayer of thanks. My son has grown up in a household which is essentially an atheist household, but when he grows up he will have amazing memories of his experiences worshiping in a Jewish synogogue and a Catholic church. And those memories will be just as spiritual and meaningful as they would be to any child being raised in a household subscribing to either religion. Kamala's parents were divorced. Her mother had primary custody and was Hindu, so when she was with her mother she attended Hindu services and underwent their rituals. But she also spent vacations and most of the summer my months in her Black Christian father's household. Why is it so difficult for you to accept that when she was with her father (and his family), all of whom were Christian and attended a black Christian church, she would join them for church services. And why would her experiences at those services be any less impactful on her simply because the parent with primary custody chose to raise her as a Hindu?
She was very likely wearing it as a cultural symbol for her mom. Buddhists, Jains and other non Hindus in India will wear it as a sign of officially being recognized as a woman in India. The may only wear it on a wedding day for some, as a national cultural thing...along with the traditional red saree on a wedding day, but not wear it or a saree after that day. Kamala wore a regular wedding dress on here wedding day, at the Santa Barbara CA courthouse. Her husband is Jewish, so that was the compromise. There is no indication she was raised in Indian culture more than Jamaican...which tends to be Christian. I'm sure they just let her choose. If she were Hindu, you'd see photos of her wearing the bindi and saree throughout her college days, career, and life...but you only see her wear it for special occasions, probably out of respect for her mom's traditions. It went from being in the "underground" and being stoked by dog whistles instead of outright hostility. If Trump were the first, he wouldn't have been able to find an audience. The audience was carefully honed for his type of politics for decades. You can trace its roots to the late 1970s, early 1980s. It was stoked by Newt Gingrich in the 1990s. And then it really started emerging in the Tea Party opposition to Obama and Hillary Clinton, because the idea of a successful black President or a woman winning the Presidency was too repulsive for the people raised with this hate to bear.

The people who held that hate and fear latched on to him because he was saying what they had already been trained to believe but didn't feel they could say because they knew how wrong those feelings were. Trump legitimized them. If a presidential candidate, and then a President, said them, then they must have been right all along. The only difference Trump has made is to organize these people so that collectively they have power. He has placed those who hold even more extreme views in prominent positions, so what may have started with a vague fear of immigrants competing against them for jobs, has now become a dire fear that immigrants are going to rape and kill Americans and eat their pets - despite all the statistics and investigations that say otherwise. And he has let them believe that their hates and fears are legitimate and justified and "smart", so they no longer are trying to be polite about things- instead they come out of the woodwork spreading their hate and lies and conspiracy theories as if they are equally legitimate as facts....perhaps even "more enlightened".
Trump isn't the cause, he is the effect. He is what turned an underlying infection into a festering wound, and he is what has been making that wound spread so much that it is threatening to take over the entire system.

You can tell me otherwise, but you'd have to be pretty convincing considering I've spent a decent amount of time on this. Kamala wants to reduce the burden of higher education. Border. Kamala said she'd sign that law the senator lankford and others wrote up. Joe was going to sign it. Trump wanted to run on a border crisis so he told the Republicans to block it. Hence the reason why it's still messed. Keep in mind though, it's never been as bad as they tell you, and before covid hit, Trump's border crossing numbers... Not great. Also, a wall... We're doing the wall again? The wall Mexico paid nothing for and what? A few percent was built? And I've seen people easily climb it. Drugs. Trump thinks illegal migrants bring in the majority of the drugs (well, he says he does). This is simply not the case. You can find this out for yourself easily. Legal crossings are where most of it comes in. The bill trump blocked and kamala said she'd sign add funding for this. Also, drug overdoses, for the first time in ages, have gone down this year, pretty great.
There's so much more aside from the actual issues. I know these are more controversial so consider this just extra spice. The spreading of hate by Trump, his corruption, the lies, oh the lies, his sexual assaults, his friendship with Epstein, the way he treats his employees and the people around him, the man's a convicted felon, convicted by a jury of his peers! His son in law got $2.3 billion from Saudi Arabia to invest with after Trump left the Whitehouse, he's never had any experience with this. Trump hotels raked in millions from forwign dignitaries while he was in office. The man sent covid testing machines we needed to putin for personal use. The man legit tried to overthrow an election! He said he'd do it again. He admires and praises dictators. His campaign playbook, no joke, almost identical to a certain group in Germany in the 1930's. Therefore, at least once or twice a month he attend synagogue with my very religious Jewish parents, and at least once or twice a month he attends Church with my husband's devout Irish Catholic Aunt and Uncle. We all attend every single Christmas and Easter mass with my husband's family, and every single Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur service with my family. We join my husband's family for Christmas and Easter, and our son loves seeing what Santa Claus delivered and hunting for colored eggs and discovering what goodies are in his Easter basket. We celebrate Chanukah and Passover with my family, and my son loves getting a gift after lighting the menorah each night, and learned all the hebrew words to the 4 questions for the Passover Seder. Our home hosts both families for secular holidays like Thanksgiving and Fourth of July, where we always start with a short "Christian-style" grace before we eat, and end our meals with a "Jewish-style" prayer of thanks.
My son has grown up in a household which is essentially an atheist household, but when he grows up he will have amazing memories of his experiences worshiping in a Jewish synogogue and a Catholic church. And those memories will be just as spiritual and meaningful as they would be to any child being raised in a household subscribing to either religion.
Kamala's parents were divorced. Her mother had primary custody and was Hindu, so when she was with her mother she attended Hindu services and underwent their rituals. But she also spent vacations and most of the summer my months in her Black Christian father's household. Why is it so difficult for you to accept that when she was with her father (and his family), all of whom were Christian and attended a black Christian church, she would join them for church services. And why would her experiences at those services be any less impactful on her simply because the parent with primary custody chose to raise her as a Hindu?
She was very likely wearing it as a cultural symbol for her mom.
Buddhists, Jains and other non Hindus in India will wear it as a sign of officially being recognized as a woman in India.
The may only wear it on a wedding day for some, as a national cultural thing...along with the traditional red saree on a wedding day, but not wear it or a saree after that day.
Kamala wore a regular wedding dress on here wedding day, at the Santa Barbara CA courthouse. Her husband is Jewish, so that was the compromise.
There is no indication she was raised in Indian culture more than Jamaican...which tends to be Christian.

If she were Hindu, you'd see photos of her wearing the bindi and saree throughout her college days, career, and life...but you only see her wear it for special occasions, probably out of respect for her mom's traditions.

Then talked to reporters near his plane. Then did his campaign rally. Then sat for this event around 10pm. He had a stacked day. If he was sick he wouldn’t have been able to do all that
