An excellent find! Those Mach64 VLB cards are pretty hard to come by. I'm going to have to re-run the 3D benchmark on my Mach32 VLB to see how it compares when I get home from work.
I have an ati mach 64 vlb, but sadly I can't get it to post, just a black screen. I tested the bios chip and it tests good. Maybe its a bad dram chip, or oscillator. The card looks brand new though so I have no idea why it wont work.
oh man. I have the upgradeable one but doesn't work, 2 beeps, nothing looks broken in the PCB. I might reflow it and see if I can bring her to life. Where can I get the software for it?
Great video on what looks like a great video card! I like the software that it came with!
Me too! The software is pretty awesome!
Really nice VLB card, who could say no to that card? Great job!
Thanks! It's definitely a fun card to have!
Oh wow, that's a cool database for video cards / DOS games 👍
Yea, I was glad to find that site!
Nice one Chris! Love it when interesting hardware finds a good home.
Thank you! Yea, I was glad to find this card... great card, great price!!
cracking upgrade! Windows 3.11 looks great with the proper graphics drivers.
I agree!
Cool card! Make sure you enjoy it:)
Oh yeah, you know it!
Amazing card! I have the PCI version, unfortunately without the RAM expansion... Loved the poor man's pan 😂
Haha, glad someone enjoyed that! I try to make these videos fun 😂
Great card. I had one in my OS/2 machine back in the day.
Yea, it's a pretty cool card!

Oh yeah! I was glad to have found this card.
Seeing Windows 3.1 at 1024x768 was cool. I never got to run it at that res back then. Any chance you'll ever do another live stream? Those were fun.
Yea, love Win3.11 in high resolution! I should plan some more livestreams, they tend to be a bit tough to do since something is always going on.
People nowadays think high refresh rate is next gen/premium feature. But we had 120Hz monitors a long time ago. 🤭
Oh yeah! So very true!
Fun fact: the 486 DX4 100MHz will run the Super Mario 64 port in DOS with software rendering at a whopping 20 frames per minute.
Haha, 20 frames per minute!
I would like to ask you if you have added any L2 memory to your motherboard? Thank you for your answer.

Great thank you.@@RetroTechChris
WP5.1 has a somewhat hidden graphical GUI mode that looks like a windows program but isn’t
Indeed!

Yea, my Mach32 quit working recently.. no idea why! I wish I were a little stronger at being able to repair things.

Nice! I'd say do a Google search for ATI Mach64 Windows 3.1. If nothing comes up, reach out!
If memory serves, the drivers came from here! vogonsdrivers.com/getfile.php?fileid=328&menustate=0
What would you think Chris if you had an upgradable version with 4 megs of ram would that card had a big impact in performace in games and bechmarks?
I think more memory would pretty much give higher color depth? Not sure if it would impact performance much. But I'm far from a video card expert 😅
