Un concert exceptionnel , avec une improvisation finale qui laissait la gorge nouée d'émotion. Merci à tous les organisateurs et au grand artiste Baptiste-Florian Marle-Ouvrard.

For lovers of organ, an exceptional visual and aural document - of a great organ, a most worthy performer, and great, great music. To have this available to us, so far away here in the USA (and everywhere else), 5 days after the event, is a miracle made possible by the glory of modern technology. I can only feel most grateful.

Maestro Marle-Ouvard is an very talented organist. He has this quiet and yet somehow imposing presence on the bench and this amazing music just pours out. Excellent concert.

Sublime improvisation. Hard to hold back the tears. Almost like being on Golgotha on that fateful terrible but blessed day.

I very much like this gentleman's style of superb playing. Like M. Roth himself, Baptiste-Florian just sits there and plays without showy bobbing around and affected gurning. Brilliant! Thank you, Pierre-Francois. Col, NZ.

This young man is a superb organist. However, body language at the console has never bothered me as long as the music speaks. There's no template for artistic expression, and as the French themselves say, 'vive la difference'.

Saw the same organist playing the first half of this repertoire today at St Eustache. Absolutely phenomenal. This recording (or any recording) cannot compare to the physical experience of being there.

Unfortunately, many like me can no longer travel, and have only these recordings to slake our thirst for superb organ music.

Thank you for this most enchanting performance, so satisfyingly played by a maestro with intelligence and emotion kept in balance. M. Roth and assistant allowed the transitions to be made with their registration changes, allowing such a splendid and dynamic continuity. Thank you again very much indeed. God bless us all.

(Note that the one (as I write this) negative vote occurred too long after the live stream ended to be a reaction to that, and immediately as the recorded performance began so it wasn't a reaction to the recording. That should tell you something about that voter.)

+Pierre-François Dub-Attenti I wish I had posted this comment one week ago but... who could imagine?... Anyway, my question is: is there any project to make a documentary like the famous "Dans le ventre de l'orgue de Notre-Dame" in Saint-Sulpice? That would be a bestseller, a top-ten, a real treat for any organ enthusiast! :0)
