  • We battled the elements on this trip with cold winds making it pretty tough to fish at times, however we battled through and came out on top with some great fish. We used the Garmin Livescope for the first time on the troll which gave us the ability to run our lures close to structure without snagging and we also got to see a fish come up and eat a spinnerbait. There is plenty of action in this one on both Murray Cod and Golden Perch, enjoy.

      Yeah mate, it’s always good when the kids rip in. I will have another clip up of how he spent his time smashing a few carp between our morning and arvo sessions, it’s good fun.

    Great job mate! I’ll have to try Wyangala myself one day. You should do some Blowering fishing👍

      Hey Henry, thanks mate I actually fished Blowering with my 2 sons on New Year’s Day. We got stuck into the reddies and caught a nice cod as well. That clip will be out in the next week or so.

    Chilled vid Dan. Looking forward to seeing your Blowering trip. Nothing like a delicious feed of reddies.

    nice video mate! what's a good trolling speed?

    • @DanWebberFishing
      @DanWebberFishing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Blake, I found when trolling especially big spinnerbaits that around 2 km/h is about right. I sometimes troll slightly faster with some hardbodies but it depends on the lure. I generally let the feel of the lure dictate the speed.

      @@DanWebberFishing ok no worries, I was over at the dam on Saturday and it was my first time dam fishing, the slowest speed i can get my boat down to is about 4KM/H is there any recommendations to slow it down? (Quintrex Explorer 350 8HP Motor) I was trolling hard body's but It might have just been me but I felt like it was to fast but the lure still felt good on the rod.

    • @DanWebberFishing

      @@blakegodwin-blakeg3387 too me that’s way to fast, I know others who troll at that speed but I prefer slower. Especially for cod.
      Get a 20 litre bucket with a wire handle, tie a rope to it and throw it out the back, the drag from the bucket in the water will slow you down heaps.

      @@DanWebberFishing yeah i tried this but it slowed me down to about 1-1.2km/h aha the boat barely moved and it was really hard to steer the boat. i might have to try an electric motor possibly

    • @DanWebberFishing
      @DanWebberFishing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@blakegodwin-blakeg3387 that seems a big reduction in speed from the bucket? Electric motor is always gonna be the go.
