Very much like the model issued to the dutch army in the 90's. Very good knife for taking into the woods and camping. Maybe a bit large for edc, but very great for outdoors. Thank you Matt.
Thank you for the review! I think you are one of the few reviewers who say the real side of the blade, what in my opinion is essential due to restrictions (in Spain, more than 4.33 inches is forbidden) and gives a pretty objective and trusthable opinion.
Great review Matt. I don't have any 111mm SAKs either. I top out at the 93mm Alox Pioneer X. Of course I've had my eye on a couple though and the single blade Hunter Pro is on the shortlist too. Thanks for sharing.
It this size I personally love and own the Outrider. It’s a perfect outdoor SAK for myself anyways. Thanks for the video Slippy and this is a good SAK that you have for sure.
Excellent review buddy! I have a One-handed Trekker and it's very similar to the Trailmaster. Both are great large outdoor use SAK's. Thanks for sharing and Cheers!
Hey Matt, Great review, I’ve got few versions of the 111mm. All great knives of the usual Victorinox quality F&F. Great carry out in the woods/wilds and excellent for camping 👍🏻 Nice one brother 😎👊🏻
if you are going to use the saw, the bump that makes the hole in the one hand version will be on your way. It is quite uncomfortable. The pattern you already have is much better. the upwards slanted position of the saw make sense when you are cutting branches directly on the ground, secured by a foot. It gaves more room for the fingers in a position where the hand can pass all your weight to the edge of the saw. Thus you don´t need strenght but simple coordination from hand to shoulder. Great design!
Nice review as usual. Not legal to carry without good reason but being a SAK hopefully helps in a pinch. I have a German army knife of similar size - non locking, with the combination saw / bottle opener.
Hey @slipjointsawyer, as you say, the Trailmaster is not the best knife for UK EDC, because of legal restrictions in this country. That's why I chose the Huntsman SAK.
5:15 Non-locking saw blade. Now this is one I've never been able to understand. Why is it deemed SO important, when ALL the pressure is down towards the teeth, and NEVER the other way? It baffles me how this aspect draws SO much criticism. Your attempted explanation sounds somewhat flimsy, and you don't sound very confident. Personally, I think this version is an excellent option, especially where weight might be an issue, eg when hiking. Otherwise I'm a bit of a Hercules fan! Nice review!

I've got the same knife, except mine has black scales. It's one of my favorite camping knives, and I carry it quite a bit for work too. Cheers, buddy!
Awesome 👍🏼 thanks for watching

Good choice!
111mm, very nice. Will be interested in your thoughts afteer giving it some good carry time. Terrific overview, buddy. Have a great weekend.😄
Thanks John, I think this is one you'd enjoy 🙏🏼🫡

Thanks for watching Sean
Really cool knife, you always do a great job reviewing the SAK's
Thanks for sharing 👍
Thank you kindly Sir 🙏🏼
Very nice review. I haven’t tried that size of SAK yet. Looks like a great knife for camping.
It's a really great size, just wish it was legal to carry in the UK
Great format. Interesting compared to the serrated blade format with the OHO cut out in the blade.
Thanks for watching!
That's a big boy!! Thank you for sharing sir!
You bet
It looks like a really great Victorinox. Yeah, you'd think a locking saw would be better. Excellent video Matt!
Absolutely! Thanks Randy

Thanks for the tips sir 🙏🏼
I see this exact same knife only with a different blade (serrated and like a spiderco) I wonder if it's possible to exchange this for this type

Awesome 👍🏼 I wish this was legal 😂
Nice review! How about pitching this against a Farmer X?? Side by side review vs some practical tasks 😄
Good idea!
Great looking knife! I like that design!
Thanks Mike
Definitely a good un, cheers 🍻
Thank you! Cheers!
A very nice camping / Bushcraft knife that !
Thanks for watching
How does that blade compare with an Alox blade, Farmer X, maybe?
Much larger
Good knives. Thanks Matt

Agreed the huntsman is fantastic
Simply the Top.......👍

Appreciate it brother, never understood the non locking saw on the locking blade models

not a combo tool
My mistake 😂
