Trumps innate political skills are telling him that having been shot he can now appeal to a much wider base. So the speech he was going to give to pump up and maximise the vote of a narrower base is obsolete. A gentler speech that appeals to the sympathy vote (for want of a better phrase) he is calculating will win him more votes.
He has no interest in unity! He’s not capable of those thoughts. I fear for my country. I’m afraid my family will need to leave the country if we have another Trump administration. This is serious!
