Great work on everything. The frame is epic, but the fact that it's handcrafted by you and your buddies is where the beauty is. I bet you know every inch of it by not only sight but by feel. The memories come when you stare at it in the garage and remember it going together with those guys. Then thinking forward to what it will allow the car to do over and above the average street bruiser. Thanks for taking the time to record the build and share it so we can be there with you. Can't wait for more.
I've just watched the two-part chassis build. The quality of your filming, editing and production is staggering. I honestly felt like I was watching a professional television show. Even your voice is perfect for narration. Brilliant story line, fabulous chassis build quality, and time spent doing things you love with friends. What a superb pair of videos. Now I have all of the rest of your channel to catch up on. Well done!
There are ways of bending square tubes without getting the tubes sides bend. 1 - Sand filled bending - a bit more work than conventional bending but can be done with the same machinery 2 - Pressurise the inside of the tube - a bit more work than conventional bending and it needs some kind of a hydraulic aggregate.

I would like to have a chassis built for my 72 charger. Then I would definitely upgrade the engine to something with more horsepower. Great job on your setup.

Hey, thanks for those kind words - glad you're here. We did all the rough assembly with a Miller Dynasty 280. I did the rest of the finish welding on my Everlast 210EXT.
With the options available today, it’s a really good deal to buy a frame. I have thousands of hours on this, and still about half the cost of a turnkey frame and suspension.
You're putting a 4" tall frame under a unibody car (though I assume you'll have a custom floor to accommodate it). I assume the car will be lower than stock. Is ground clearance a concern? Curious to see how driveshaft and exhaust will be routed.
Ground clearance is set at 4.5” under the front crossmember and about 6” at the rear of the rocker. There’s no more factory floor or unibody, so parts and systems will route to make a flat bottom car.

Lol, I'll shut up now, but that's his, but now you need a couple, and btw they don't have to be top dollar. Due to their nature, they all are accurate to a fine degree, if you are about locations. PS Have I mentioned that I seriously am die hard Blues fanatic, and your choice of music is right where I like to turn things up to the level, that my neighbors shake their heads, but let me be, and they're no where near as close as any of yours are. Lmfao old age has it's benefits, not nearly as many as the deficits it carries.

That's mostly 4x2 mild in this video. I tend to use chromoly tube everywhere else.

Those TIG welds will do just fine. We used regular 70S-2 and -6 filler.
You missed the driveway roll center near the rear axle. You need this for any kind of racing.
you'll see in later episodes, this uses a torque arm and watts link

Why did you choose square tubing for the frame?
I chose 4x2 rectangular tubing because it’s easy to bend and it’s a good strength vs weight balance for this build.

Is this 1/8 inch wall thickness?
It's all .120 wall before pending. The outside will thin to about .100-.110, while the fat side gets a smidge thicker.
