The Church Pick doesn't do serrated damage, it does 20% more damage to beasts, which is better than serrated damage since all the enemies who're weak to serrated damage are beasts but not all beasts are weak to serrated damage
Plus the Church Pick does pure thrust damage in trick form. And *every* enemie is weak to thrust. I've popped my best thrust gems on this beast and it does not disappoint.
@@waveburner1254 Not only is every enemy weak the thrust, but thrust damage does extra damage against enemies in "vulnerable" states. Which is just whenever the enemy is in an attack animation. One interesting thing about this weapon though is it doesn't do bonus damage against Ludwig who is weak to serrated. The Church Pick also does righteous damage.
The best way to appreciate Bloodborne weapons is to, whenever you get the urge to try one, start an entirely new character focused around that weapon. I promise you, with this method you'll fall in love with most of the weapons in the game, compared to testing them for a minute in your first playthrough and then shelving them.
I do kind of wish though that there was a mode for every souls game where if you've collected the item on one save, you could basically start with that item on a new save. Just so you'd be able to actually start the game with the weapon you wanted to make a build for, instead of using the saw cleaver for at least 80% of the game.
I reached NG+14 doing runs with 2 dedicated weapons on each run and was the best. Tonitrus and Boom Hammer are super fun. And fancy. The key it's the transform attack, do the combat very interesting and turns easy to keep the weapons ignited and powerfull.
I dont really like making new characters, it's very tedious to build it up from the start over and over. I prefer just leveling up all the weapons on one character and just switching whenever I feel like it.
I'm on a max level character with multiple NG+ cycles because I hate making new characters. I love doing the chalice dungeons, farming gems, putting them on each respective weapon and creating new chalices using the weapon I just upgraded. Works too i'd say.
When I first used the Chikage I totally agreed with you, didn’t seem great and the health drain didn’t seem worth it…BUT after some practice and learning how to constantly switch modes and use transform attack to minimize the health drain the Chikage is an absolute monster, at 50 bloodtinge the transform attacks wreck the whole game
yeah thats my only thing that wrong the chikage is top dog i gemmed it fully over a 1,000 a hit on a normal attack i can just walk up blood mode and dead
Yeah, I used Chikage on my second run through the game and it didn't click for a couple hours. I think its transform attacks specifically are the strongest in the moveset to really encourage you to start and end combos with them, especially because both transforming into and out of the trick form has that bloodtinge scaling. It is one of the most... "greedy" weapons in the game in the sense that when you make a build for it, you cannot do much other than use the Chikage, so unless someone goes out of their way to do an entire run based around it, it feels extremely underwhelming. And given where you get it, it's definitely a big commitment to even run over and get it early enough to build for it well. Totally worth it though imo.
but it requires gems in all versions and bloodtige to be leveled high over skill so yes its pretty greedy in its department but the dps it produces when you take that time is absurd
@@jie8358 I could have sworn lost and uncanny versions require having the base one? And it seems like more trouble than its worth to go through chalices for it, esp. without PS+.
You're sleeping on the Tonitrus. The lightning scales with Arcane unlike lightning paper, and with a str/arc build it absolutely melts anything it touches. Just keep it in your back pocket for when you get to a boss and watch it erase your problems
@@ErikWithBrain For a primary weapon, sure, but it's excellent as a secondary. Call it the tazer in your back pocket. It's a strength/arcane weapon, and so functions on the same builds as Holy Moonlight. Those few enemies that resist blunt and arcane damage, like brainsuckers, gardens of eyes, and slime scholars, are exceptionally weak against lightning. Moonlight doesn't have many faults, but its few lacking areas can be covered by a Tonitrus secondary.
@@ErikWithBrainI don’t mind the move set since you just press R1 most of the game anyway and it looks cool charged up, also the Snatchers are weak to bolt too
I swear to god Ludwig's Holy Blade and the Whirligig Saw better be at the top because they carried me through all 3 of my playthrough. Shoutout to the hunter axe though with it's spin 2 win move
@@lotusluv Same except I can't get myself to make the switch to whirligig in the dlc, the bosses are too aggresive and/or can't be stunlocked, maybe for ng+, or Rom in the chalices.
Threaded Cane fan who only very casually plays bloodborne so my opinion doesn't matter. But the Threaded Cane is incredibly beginner friendly (was my first fromsoft game), and never really falls off. My first playthrough I literally did cane only because I liked it so much (tried other stuff but always came back to it)
I got my platinum pretty much only using the cane. It does crazy damage when you’re endgame 50/50 in skill and strength. The range and speed is amazing, and they get close you just switch to the stab cane with stun locks sooooo easy
No weapons fall off. Cane was very unfriendly to me, but I was a souls veteran before bloodborne. Ludwig's holy blade became my mainstay, now I'm a pick enjoyer.
One note about the chikage is you shouldn't stay in the transformed state for more than a little bit at a time - I found the best way to use it on my chikage only playthrough was to l1, then immediately r1 to do an iai strike. It's extremely fast and damaging, and you can immediately transform back to not lose hp.
Incredibly unfair on the weapons to not make a build for each one. The tonitrus, kos parasite, chikage, bloodletter, are all weapons which need a dedicated build. Bloodbornes weapons are the most refined of any game I’ve played, but sometimes require some forethought and planning
Chikage and Bloodletter at 20 and 19 is criminal. Health draining is not a big deal at all with rally, and the amount of damage you can do on a bloodtinge build is INSANE.
Saif has probably the best move set in the game. So effortless to move and dodge and follow up with counter attacks. Saif and saw spear are my favorites but I also like Ludwig’s holy blade, church pick, and whirlygig saw. I tend to favor parrying with my gun so I don’t typically go through the game with a two handed weapon.
Shout out to the Saif crew. I give the edge for best weapon to the Saw Spear because it is serrated and has access to thrust attacks, but damn if the Saif doesn't have the most mobile and aggressive moveset.
Okay but counterpoint, you have to do the chalice dungeons to get that version 🤮 I didn't even do chalice dungeon grinding for my pvp builds, bc that shit is so awful Still the best from soft game, it just comes with an optional pile of actual feces
What's so great about Bloodborne's weapons is how intimate you can get with them and learn all of their quirks. Using a weapon throughout a playthrough is like getting to know everything about it; its range, its special effects like knockback and stun, its combos, its strange bugs, its tech, and favorable match-ups. I used the boom hammer very recently and learned three things I never would've known otherwise: the boom hammer can keep its fire charge while still hitting an enemy with the fire charge as long as you trade blows with them, the boom hammer is insanely good against the amygdala when you do running R2s, since you do an over-head swing, and the fire-buffed moves have more recover time. Additionally, you can catch enemies over small walls and in elevated positions by doing charged R2s. Like, dude, all these subtle differences between these weapons completely change how effective they can be. I just fucking love it man.
Wow. A lot of the weapons that I typically love to use are pretty far down on this list. I think that goes to show just how useful and fun each of the trick weapons in this game really are. I started with the Threaded Cane for my first play through and really fell in love with its moveset. The cane does really great damage with fire gems/buffs in my experience. I also used the Stake Driver as my secondary weapon for that first play through as well, and found it really enjoyable as a option that I swapped to when I saw an opportunity to execute it’s charged R2. On subsequent play throughs, I fought a lot of the parryable bosses like Kos, Maria, etc, with the Reiterpallasch, because executing a parry with the transformation of that weapon is sooo satisfying. I understand your disappointment in the movesets themselves for all 3 of these weapons, but for me, I feel they are optimal and incredibly fun to use in specific duels/situations.
@@danie1220-s8r that is what this seems like, I main the stake driver cuz I love to get up close and personal my god after I ex executed the charged heavy fire the first time I knew that was the weapon for me
@@acgearsandarms1343 the canes move set is godly, I love circle->r1 and then switch to the whip. So many safe combos you can string together with it and it gets powerful when you’re 50 str 50 skill
Fun fact about the beast Saif, the untransformed R1 will launch you forwards, while the following L1 will launch you back, and another L1 will launch you forward again. Great for dogs especially as the forward/back movement while slashing will usually catch them in a bite.
Honestly Saw Spear, Saw Cleaver, & Beasthunter Saif all have great movesets that perfectly fit Bloodborne's combat system. So it just comes down to preference/build really.
I'm happy to see the amygdalan arm is so high on the list. Such a fun weapon. Same for the beast claw, NG+2 was such a blast with nothing but this thing!
As a Beasthunter Saif user I do personally put it at least around the Amygdalan arm in terms of your rankings. Honestly the damage is not outshining the Saws but it has far more agility to really elevate its playstyle. The dash on the retracted R1 attack allows you to chase bosses like Amelia and many NPC hunters, freedom to buff with both types of damage as opposed to a lot of the other high tier weapons, and retreat from the transform attack (short to long) is going to give you a more interesting skill ceiling than you would get from some other weapons that I love just as much, like the hunter's axe and saw weapons.
The duck and rush in, and the hop back are sooooo good. I first tried Orphan of Kos, and it was like, 60% the Saif attack animations just dodging stuff for free. Another 30% was molotovs
I appreciate your content, I find a lot of Souls creators can be needlessly mean spirited and make some pretty tasteless jokes. You just seem like a down to earth guy who enjoys the game without fake angry edgy allegories
Who’s mean spirited and has tasteless jokes? Most of the souls channels I’ve seen (prod, lobo jr, backlogs, demodcracy, vaati, etc) are fairly wholesome

in my opinion the hunter axe has the most beautiful and versatile moveset in the game. Vertical slashes, horizontal swipes, pokes, spin to win, amazing transform attacks, great damage and range in both one and two handed modes, it literally has everything.
Best crowd control in the game..that L2 is like the R1 just more damage and staggers, can be swung in a 360 arc. Can follow up with a second. Strong running poke. Untransformed it’s R2 pancakes enemies. I think this guy is risky sleeping on it.
16:01 thats the gimmick of the beasthunter saif, transforming from long to short lunges you forward, and transforming from short to long lunges you back
On my first playthrough that spin to win on the Hunter's Axe was a lifesaver. Eventually I became a true hunter and moved on Ludwig's Holy Blade and then Rakuyo

For the threaded cane, I will say that it is literally my top three favorite weapons in the game. I love the skill-based class and I love everything about the weapon taking me all the way to end game.
I actually like how different my list would be as each weapon is so unique and useful. That said if i was gonna make a top 5 it would have to be 5. Chikage 4. Blades of mercy 3. Burial blade 2. Ludwig's holy blade 1. Threaded cane. The cane carried me through my first playthrough and ng+ with a plague doctor fashioned skill/bloodtinge build with the evalyn. So much fun
Aw another one, yes the cane is sooooo well rounded I was very upset to see it so low. Easy the best starting weapon, at least top 5 imo. S+ tier weapon
The move set in the cane was just unmatched, you can do a backwards dodge and r1 and it’ll be a super fast long stab with the whip part. Also just being able to switch super fast into the stabby stunlock is good
I see someone here likes Skill builds. :) Honestly, investing into Skill makes you look at the game differently, suddenly weapons you didn't even care about start doing ridiculous damage and you realize you were a fool to have ignored them.
REEEALY appreciate all the puns! I takes dedication to write one for every single entry and I truly enjoyed it. There was simply no chance that I could turn of the video, I just had to hear all the jokes (and the content was great too). Fantastic work!
Having played thousands of hours in Bloodborne, and having done several playthroughs using every weapon (currently up to NG+60 on my main file), the Threaded Cane is, without question, the best weapon in the game. It's got the most varied moveset compared to any other weapon, deals both Holy damage *and* Serrated damage in its two forms, has Skill Scaling with high Thrust Damage (which makes Visceral Attacks stronger), it's still decently fast in both forms, so you're not left open too often, its strong attacks build beasthood insanely fast in both forms, and the whip form in particular has excellent stun potential even on larger enemies. Its one downside, the literal one issue it has, is that it's not as strong as the Saw Cleaver or Hunter's Axe in early game. Once you get at least 30 Skill and upgrade it to +6 or higher, it catches up quite quickly. When I go through the game, I usually need to change weapons every once in a while to deal with a specific challenge, but the Threaded Cane is the one weapon that can just do it all. It has at least one move that lets you deal with any specific enemy that poses a threat to you making progress.
On my playtrough of BB I beat almost the entire game with the hunter axe because the moment I got it, I fell in love with the amount of different attacks that make it useful in any situation. There's a light slash, heavy slash, running poke, heavy poke, spinning slash, heavy slam...
One thing to note is the saw spear stays serrated when transformed, the cleaver does not. Otherwise I think the cleaver is barely higher base damage and slightly more strength scaling, and the spear is more dex scaling. But on my dex focused character I found the spear super useful on a couple chalice bosses since I could infuse it with fire and use the trick attacks while doing serrated damage the entire time. My other weapons couldn't be infused or weren't serrated but I chose the spear over the cleaver as I only needed it for one boss I was struggling with.
It's one of these lists where however you do the ranking, it will end up not being to someone's taste. I know Threaded Cane is a favourite to some for sure
Bro here's the Saw Cleaver pun you missed a trick with: '...great with lady maria, when i hit her with a visceral i think i even SAW her CLEAVage' You're welcome.
Rakuyo and Chikage are my 2 favourites, they're both related with my favourite boss (Lady Maria) and I love very fast (and enough long at the same time) weapons. Also Chikage is one of the very few katana weapons in Soulsborne series which is absolutely not broken/overpower. I love Simon's Bowblade too, easily my favourite bow in entire series (and only really viable in my opinion). Pizza cutter is also very fun, when I knew that in Elden Ring is similar weapon to this and finally found it, the feeling was unforgettable.
I actually really like the beast hunter saif. The way it lets you lunge into close quarters and reposition with transform attacks has a super fun rhythm in my opinion. I use it on basically all my skill characters before the Rakuyo or blades of mercy are accessible. Also a note on the Rakuyo: there are some additional follow-up attacks you can do in the transformed mode by pressing L2 after an R1 or R2 combo that do a lot of damage and mimic Maria's actual boss moveset.
The Reiterpallash and the Rifle Spear actually really good for builds that don’t DON’T have a gun in the left hand- i.e. using one of the sprayers or the iron lump.
The thing with the cane is area of effect, stun & battlefield control, though. Not raw damage. Like, if you get used to it & learn to position yourself right? You can clear entire rooms with one, two combos.
To me the Saif is to Bloodborne what the SSG is to Doom Eternal, or the Plasma Cutter to Dead Space. It just fits the combat system so perfectly, not using it feels like a restriction
Beast hunter saif and saw cleaver are hands down my favorite. Beast hunter saif's dash forward r1 is super useful for getting a hit in before the enemy can, and pressing L1 makes you attack and dash backwards, and you can spam this. Also, while the weapon is open, you can hit multiple mobs with its wide slashing attacks. And the saw cleaver is my other favorite because you can hit tall enemies in the head for staggers while the weapon is extended
Been looking forward to seeing this one! While it does hurt to see my beloved Chikage so low down, it's made up for by the Rakuyo and Whirligig Saw both being near the top, where they belong :) Great list, man!
The chikage at 20 is wild 😭😭 I can understand the opinion of it not fitting in the game but it’s easily top 3 weapons in the game and the health drain really isn’t that bad if you time it correctly 😂
@@la-yb7gn Oh, i didn't even stop to realize that lol It really doesn't seem like it should be at 20, especially if you level up your Bloodtinge and Skill to 20 or 30+. I just got finished with a high Bloodtinge Chikage playthrough and damn did it trivialize the game when used right.
God this music is so relaxing. Love the content. I’ve beaten Bloodborne and Sekiro recently and have just been consuming content. Speaking of which: any Sekiro video ideas on your mind? I’d love to see any Sekiro content.
I think the Kirk hammer was quite good for orphan of kos because it fits so perfectly in its openings and staggers it a lot, it only took me 3 tries to beat it on my first playthrough without any prior knowledge about it
Threaded Cane is my favorite, literally played through my whole first run with it alone and I was quite happy to do so. Yeah, the moveset is pretty damn basic and isn't very flashy so I can understand why it might not be appealing, but I find its simplicity heavily belies its effectiveness. Plus, on an aesthetic level, it kinda just feels like a great mix of classy and vicious (in whip form). I have to admit I'm quite sad to see you list it so low; I'd have hoped to see it at least somewhere in the middle.
It's like he's testing all of these weapons on the same strength build or something. For a lot of these weapons (Chikage, kos parasite, etc.) you of course have to specifically build for them to reach max potential. Not a very well-tested video
I'm am arc main and I'll say a couple things. -the kos parasite is insanely scaling dependant. You need to dedicate yourself to arcane for it to work, and if you do so that aoe destroys everything. -The saw spear is my best friend. It's the most reliable arc weapon around, and a fire infused one never leaves my second weapon slot. -same with the saif with bolt. It's not flashy, but its moveset has everything you'd need. Closed is fast and lets you dart in and out while open does unreasonable poise damage to enemies. -the bowblade is THE best ranged weapon in the game, and if you pair it with the monocular you get the ability to free aim -burial blade. The skill hunters axe. That charged r2 is the legacy I hold every other scythe in fromsoft to. Like the blades of mercy can be turned into an effective arcane weapon with gems
Funny thing is, if memory serves right, all weapons have different levels of rally potential. This makes the burials blade and moon light greatsword even better because they give back quite a bit of health
First off, glad you liked the video suggestion and thank you for your heartfelt message 😊 Loved the video and have learned so much about weapons that I regret not having experimented with; not so sure about all the choices though! Saying that, I agreed with SuM. Top 5 for me: 1. Whirligig Saw - so fun & original 2. Beast Claw(s) - fast paced 3. Ludwig's Holy Blade - efficient 4. Saw Cleaver - classic 5. Tonitrus - niche but effective Looking forward to the next show 😀
Hunter axe carried me through my first play through along with Ludwig's Holy Blade. Moonlight greatsword for my second! Love the Moonlight greatsword and that it appears in nearly every Fromsoft game
We should all admit: these weapons were all we used for our first playthrough. The axe feels so powerful when you're a beginner and it stays really strong for a long while. I do feel it kinda feels like its power drops off in potential roughly around the time you kill Rom, but I'm sure if you build it right and put the correct gems it will stay really strong. But for a beginner player... c'mon, you see the big sword, you want the big sword, then you never use anything else. The sword is really strong from the get-go and only gets stronger as you level, so by the time the axe starts feeling weaker you already have a hell of a replacement with the sword. These two are the ultimate beginner weapons and I wish I could go back to the time where they alone were all I needed to feel awesome in this game. XD
When I hear this in music too. This game really makes me cry. That first experience is so hard. was perhaps a difficult phase in life. But this made it a lot easier for me :) Even though it's a dark game, those who have played probably understand?
Just a few thoughts on how to use the threaded cane. 1st, it's untransformed uncharged R2 is the best in the game by a mile. It hit's like a truck, does piercing and righteous damage. It's your jab, use it all of the time and for everything. It's your hardest hitting attack, so it's also your space creator vs single foes. R2 into and out of transformed attack are consistently good combos. 2nd. The transformed whip form 's r2s have a strange hitbox. It projects forward with a wide, somewhat rectangular in shape. What this means is that the right and left corners of the arcs it traces actually reach out further on those corners. So this means that if you fight unlocked and manually aim the r2s so that you hit with either the left or right corner, you can get a little extra rage out of it. That extra range lets you space enemies attacks more and stay just out of range of enemies that liek to jump at you like dogs and crows and so many others. 3rd, the transformed mode of the cane multiplies all dex-based damage by 15%. This makes it the best visceral attack weapon in the game by a long stretch. The best visceral attack builds all use the threaded cane and nearly exclusively.
And here I am, using the Saw Cleaver 90% of the time. It's just such a versatile weapon. Great against beasts, can be buffed with papers, fast and has a longer range option for some pesky enemies.
My first playthrough was saw into saw spear into holy blade and then whirlygig. A pretty standard progression, but it's nice how natural it felt, and all the weapons held their own while being an absolute blast to wield.
Wont disregard your list, but I think you missed the point of boom hammer. It along with stake driver have the highest knockback and charge damage multiplier in the game. You maintain continuous fire damage by using you switch attack after a normal attack with does damage, and reignites the hammer for more boom. Charmed boom hammer still stagger most anything in the game, and send any normal enemies flying back.
Tonitrus is pretty good with an arcane build. Surprised to see it so low. My favourite weapon is beast claws. One of the most fun builds I've made in any souls game!
I think the hunter axe is underrated. It's much more diverse than just the spinning R2. It has a great L2 combo with overhead hits to catch bosses heads like Amygdala, Paarl, etc. and the R1 combos are quite good. Plus the amazing spinning R2 of course
The Whirlygig saw is basically the mainspring barrel of a watch, with saw blades instead of cogwheels, on a stick. I can't decide if that's epic or silly, but it sure does a lot of damage!
@@danielsantiagomontoyaotalv1595I like the looks when it charged up that looks pretty cool, its the perfect secondary weapon for scary enemies that weak to bolt like snactchers and brain suckers
The thing about the threaded Cain is that it is the starting weapon that had the best scaling bonus potential. It is also fast, cheap in stamina use and whip mode allows for a large front arc aoe attacks (prefect for large groups of weak opponents in chalice runs.) It also has solid Arcane scaling. It's downsides is it doesn't stun lock foes as well as heavy weapons and low damage bases
I barely even notice the HP drain on Chikage, since I only enter the transformed state long enough to get the hits in that I have time for between boss attacks.
Yea its a fun video but its clear he didnt really use certain weapons. The chikages transform is a quick use ability. The threaded cane is all about versatility. The toni is about pure insane dps. The wheel and kirk hammer being so high in comparison shows exactly that as both are incredibly fun. And unless you actually spend time with a weapon you wont really have fun with it.
A bit dissapointed to see tonitrus in last place. The moveset isn't the best, but It's pretty decent and stunlocks mobs pretty well. But, it has one thing going for it: damage. And holy does it have damage! One of the highest dps weapons in the game, provided you can keep up the buff, which is easy to do with the transformation attack. And, from personal experience, the durability isn't that big of a problem. I definitely have to go and repair it fairly often, but I've never had it break on me during a fight
for me the wheel feels right in like imagine some hunter breaking his weapon on the hunt and then comes across a wheel so he proceeds to use it to keep killing.
I don't know if anyone already said it but I'm pretty sure the Logarius' Wheel is tied to his faction being called The Executioners and is a reference to a breaking wheel or St. Catherine's Wheel, a super unpleasant execution method popular in the medieval era where you got your limbs woven into the spokes and smashed or else got your limbs smashed by the wheel (although it was used until the 1800s in the Holy Roman Empire because fuck around and rob a stage coach in Hesse and find out, I guess)
The beasthunters saif is awesome because of one thing that sets it apart from other weapons in the game. The transformation attacks send you closer to the enemy when you close the weapon and jumps backwards with the other transformation attack. Both a dodge and an attack
Im fine with nobody knowing the truth about an Uncanny or Lost Kos Parasite. I main with that, all the time, I love it. I decided I dont wanna play anything else.
The first time I completed the game with its dlc was with the Stake Driver. Can't say fighting the Orphan with it was "fun", but I was pretty psyched by the end.
I also want to say something. There are many people that don't know about some weapons' secret moves.Let me explain. There are sone weapons that do another hit after charged R2.What I mean is ,that in some weapons that I will mention later ,once you do a charged R2 in specific weapons and then press again R2 (not charged),it does a secret hit if you have enough stamina .For example,Kirkhammer.(Transformed).Once you do a charged R2 and press again(instantly),it destroys enemies .I won't say what it does .These little moves are really cool !Let me tell you more! -Transformed Church Pick.(That is good one) -Amygdalan Arm (NOT the transformed version). That is my favourite. -Ludwigs Holy Blade (Transformed) -Kirkhammer that I already mentioned It could Saw cleaver , saw spear and Beast Cutter ,but I think not .And even more weapons That I don't remember. Sad to see boomhammer near the bottom of the list. It might not win any dps races but it has surprising reach (when primed) and by mixing L1 into your combos, you can keep the hammer primed more often than you'd think. Not to mention the fun of blowing people off their feet with the running or charged R2. The sound and action of priming the hammer is just badass too.
Beast cutter is the perfect combination of brutality and elegance. Bizarre looking and has intricate mechanics. The damage is honestly not good, but the super satisfying metal swinging and smashing sound effects are so awesome. Plus, the range and poise dmg is useful for a good amount of enemies.
The Chikage is severely underrated on this list . Very few enemies are resistant to blood damage + it is the only weapon in the game that has inherent rapid poison . It’s a boss shredder and definitely top 5 in the game
The Church Pick doesn't do serrated damage, it does 20% more damage to beasts, which is better than serrated damage since all the enemies who're weak to serrated damage are beasts but not all beasts are weak to serrated damage

I'm on a max level character with multiple NG+ cycles because I hate making new characters. I love doing the chalice dungeons, farming gems, putting them on each respective weapon and creating new chalices using the weapon I just upgraded. Works too i'd say.
This comment right here. Ive been making new characters for each weapon and i've gained so much insight.
@@ItsLeah43 you can actually get a lost version the best one right after bsb
but it requires gems in all versions and bloodtige to be leveled high over skill so yes its pretty greedy in its department but the dps it produces when you take that time is absurd
Ol' Toni is especially potent against the Kin, which you run into a lot of in the late game. Brainsuckers can suck on *this* Tootsie Pop.
Overrated weapon tbh
But the moveset is so lackluster. Thats enough to kill it for me
@@ErikWithBrain For a primary weapon, sure, but it's excellent as a secondary.

Threaded Cane fan who only very casually plays bloodborne so my opinion doesn't matter. But the Threaded Cane is incredibly beginner friendly (was my first fromsoft game), and never really falls off. My first playthrough I literally did cane only because I liked it so much (tried other stuff but always came back to it)
That's the beauty of Bloodborne. All the weapons are viable.
I got my platinum pretty much only using the cane. It does crazy damage when you’re endgame 50/50 in skill and strength. The range and speed is amazing, and they get close you just switch to the stab cane with stun locks sooooo easy
The cane has crazy finesse that the big weapons don’t have
@@danie1220-s8r ikr
No weapons fall off. Cane was very unfriendly to me, but I was a souls veteran before bloodborne. Ludwig's holy blade became my mainstay, now I'm a pick enjoyer.
One note about the chikage is you shouldn't stay in the transformed state for more than a little bit at a time - I found the best way to use it on my chikage only playthrough was to l1, then immediately r1 to do an iai strike. It's extremely fast and damaging, and you can immediately transform back to not lose hp.
False, full tinge, health drain is negligible when everything gets shredded Running the lost variant.
@@everilliem3292 DoT is useless when the time is 0.5 seconds
@@maninhu9837 have you even used the weapon?
Saif is a top 3 weapon in the game to me.
You can actually use Burial Blade before the final boss battle, I looted it in the chalice dungeons.
or if you do the good ending and die at mp you keep the badge to get it
@naomimorrison or you use a hunter mark paper to respawn outside the fight
@@jackmesrel4933you can get it right after bsb in the chalices
That's not the original version, that's either an uncanny or lost variant. Although, the uncanny is objectively the best, due to the slots.
Okay but counterpoint, you have to do the chalice dungeons to get that version 🤮
I didn't even do chalice dungeon grinding for my pvp builds, bc that shit is so awful
Still the best from soft game, it just comes with an optional pile of actual feces
Honestly it was really hard to make this list. So many good choices! Hard to say anything is terrible really
Did you use skill? Seems like he put the skill weapons towards the bottom, and weird weapons/strength towards the top

The beasthunter saif has literally the best moveset in the entire game and is so much fun to use. Its so underrated and deserves first place
It's a lock for top three. I certainly won't argue against anyone having it as their #1
Honestly Saw Spear, Saw Cleaver, & Beasthunter Saif all have great movesets that perfectly fit Bloodborne's combat system. So it just comes down to preference/build really.
I'm happy to see the amygdalan arm is so high on the list. Such a fun weapon. Same for the beast claw, NG+2 was such a blast with nothing but this thing!
I have tried all the weapons and i have to say that the tonitrus is a dps monster, the most underrated weapon in the game in my opinion
I'm also a fan of amygdalas arm, didn't like it at first. But the more I used it I grown to like it, it works REALLY well in crowds .

Best crowd control in the game..that L2 is like the R1 just more damage and staggers, can be swung in a 360 arc. Can follow up with a second. Strong running poke. Untransformed it’s R2 pancakes enemies. I think this guy is risky sleeping on it.

5. Chikage
4. Blades of mercy
3. Burial blade
2. Ludwig's holy blade
1. Threaded cane.
The cane carried me through my first playthrough and ng+ with a plague doctor fashioned skill/bloodtinge build with the evalyn. So much fun
The cane in late game/ng+ with proper gems will absolutley slap everythig it touches
Honestly, investing into Skill makes you look at the game differently, suddenly weapons you didn't even care about start doing ridiculous damage and you realize you were a fool to have ignored them.
REEEALY appreciate all the puns!

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed them, my wife hated every second of it 😂
Having played thousands of hours in Bloodborne, and having done several playthroughs using every weapon (currently up to NG+60 on my main file), the Threaded Cane is, without question, the best weapon in the game.
I built a stake driver character. It was hella fun. And you’d be surprised how many people forget what lead elixir does in pvp
Lead Elixir is the one power-up everybody forgets about, but it can be insanely effective.
My other weapons couldn't be infused or weren't serrated but I chose the spear over the cleaver as I only needed it for one boss I was struggling with.
love the respect to the amygdalan arm!! that was my favourite weapon to use, it's so cool to play with
Such a unique and fun weapon!
Okay, Threaded Cane on 24 is heresy.
It is one of my favourites along with Rakuyo, Burial Blade/s of mercy and Holy Moonlight Sword (and saw spear)
And no, reiterpallasch pronunciation is correct
It's one of these lists where however you do the ranking, it will end up not being to someone's taste. I know Threaded Cane is a favourite to some for sure
I swear the ammount of puns in this video
Bro here's the Saw Cleaver pun you missed a trick with:
'...great with lady maria, when i hit her with a visceral i think i even SAW her CLEAVage'
You're welcome.
Platinumed it with the threaded cane/papers/phantasm shell. I love how quick you can be with it!
This!
And let's not forget Blades of Mercy, little Rakuyo sister :3
@@dummbobqqqqq yeah, Blades of Mercy are awesome too. Honestly, there are very few weapons in Bloodborne that are not satisfying and fun to use. :D
I felt the same about the beast cutter until I really gave it a chance. The ability to hit boss weak points so easily and the crowd control is peak
I love the rifle spear. You get the extra damage from the two handed trick mode and you still get to parry with the rifle part.
Bloodletter at 19 is a SIN. It has one of the best movesets imo plus blood damage is crazy and the range is nuts
21:14 😂 LMAO gotta love the big reveal here … geeez
Tonitrus underated I feel like a mad scientist wielding it
Been looking forward to seeing this one!
While it does hurt to see my beloved Chikage so low down, it's made up for by the Rakuyo and Whirligig Saw both being near the top, where they belong :)
Great list, man!

Wow fair enough! I struggled with it for some reason and ended up switching to Whirligig (secretly I did also just wanna try it out 😃)
Threaded Cane is my favorite, literally played through my whole first run with it alone and I was quite happy to do so.
Aint no way he put my favourite weapon in last
He didn't even make a section for it💀
"Not enough of a damage increase" for the Chikage 💀💀💀
-the bowblade is THE best ranged weapon in the game, and if you pair it with the monocular you get the ability to free aim
-burial blade. The skill hunters axe. That charged r2 is the legacy I hold every other scythe in fromsoft to. Like the blades of mercy can be turned into an effective arcane weapon with gems
Cries in boom hammer
Funny thing is, if memory serves right, all weapons have different levels of rally potential. This makes the burials blade and moon light greatsword even better because they give back quite a bit of health
First off, glad you liked the video suggestion and thank you for your heartfelt message 😊
Loved the video and have learned so much about weapons that I regret not having experimented with; not so sure about all the choices though! Saying that, I agreed with SuM.
Top 5 for me:
1. Whirligig Saw - so fun & original
2. Beast Claw(s) - fast paced
3. Ludwig's Holy Blade - efficient
4. Saw Cleaver - classic
5. Tonitrus - niche but effective
Looking forward to the next show 😀
Thank you for the considered comment and glad you liked it!
Hunter axe carried me through my first play through along with Ludwig's Holy Blade. Moonlight greatsword for my second! Love the Moonlight greatsword and that it appears in nearly every Fromsoft game
Also best Moonlight Sword design ever in Bloodborne!
The best visceral attack builds all use the threaded cane and nearly exclusively.
valid list. also those puns were great, made my day
And here I am, using the Saw Cleaver 90% of the time. It's just such a versatile weapon. Great against beasts, can be buffed with papers, fast and has a longer range option for some pesky enemies.
It carried me through my whole BL4 playthrough!
My first playthrough was saw into saw spear into holy blade and then whirlygig. A pretty standard progression, but it's nice how natural it felt, and all the weapons held their own while being an absolute blast to wield.
The puns are generally hilarious. Good video
Just find the other weapons a bit more interesting. But all of them are viable tbh, none of them are terrible. Beast Claws are sick tho!!
Just wish it had more durability
Kos parasite not being dead last is a crime.
Every boss is resistant, slow charged, slow in general, just not good
But funny (and also horrifying if you think about it)
I think the hunter axe is underrated.
LOGARIUS GANG WE WHEELIN RAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHJHJGJ
Tonitrus is too underrated, with right gems it does transformed Ludwig's Holy blade damage but with the speed of the Saw Cleaver

It also bounces off of EVERYTHING

Yea its a fun video but its clear he didnt really use certain weapons. The chikages transform is a quick use ability. The threaded cane is all about versatility. The toni is about pure insane dps. The wheel and kirk hammer being so high in comparison shows exactly that as both are incredibly fun. And unless you actually spend time with a weapon you wont really have fun with it.
That Lady Maria close up had me in stitches 😂
The little lunge at the start of the Beasthunter Saif light attacks puts above both cleavers for me. That little jump forward is amazing for spacing
I never had it break but it was annoying that you need to repair it so often
Hammerbro here, sad to see it so low, but being above the hunter's axe makes me smile
The Boom Hammer is a great weapon, not too flashy with only 1 moveset, but its damage is still there and its still got that BB flare.
for me the wheel feels right in
like imagine some hunter breaking his weapon on the hunt and then comes across a wheel so he proceeds to use it to keep killing.
Every weapon in bloodborne simply feels gimmicky once you equipped the saw cleaver. All veterans should know that
Ho man you gave ghe character a funny face! That's hilarious! I bet nobody else got that idea. Lol its so random 🤣
Hilarious, straight forward and honest review.. Good job mate and big cheers from 🇰🇼Kuwait 🤟🏼😅
Im fine with nobody knowing the truth about an Uncanny or Lost Kos Parasite. I main with that, all the time, I love it. I decided I dont wanna play anything else.
Thanks a lot, this was very helpful!
You are most welcome! Glad you liked it
The Beast Cutter is my favorite weapon in the game because it’s whip mode is basically Zabimaru from Bleach
Threaded Cane is god tier with an Arcane build. Serrated in the whip shreds beast, ass good fire gems and youre a blender.
-Transformed Church Pick.(That is good one)
-Amygdalan Arm (NOT the transformed version). That is my favourite.
-Ludwigs Holy Blade (Transformed)
-Kirkhammer that I already mentioned
It could Saw cleaver , saw spear and Beast Cutter ,but I think not .And even more weapons That I don't remember.
Anyway,I guess no one will see this comment, cause this video is old 😭.Though if you do see this ,have a good day and like if you want ,so more people see this 😊!
I saw it and I appreciated it 😌 if I were to do this video again now, I would rank things very differently.
@JKLeeds ,Oh wow! 😲.No way you responded that fast in an old video like this one 😅!And in my comment ,I didn't mention the Transformed Chikage!
Anyway,these are moves i discovered randomly💀.Well,have a good one 😁!!!
As someone who's never played the game but finds it fascinating and wants to, I can safely say Logarius' Wheel is the coolest.
Nice to see people still playing this game 9 years after release.
My top three have to be
3: Kirkhammer, it's so weighty and fun I love it
2: Logarius wheel, fun concept, wish it had a bit more weight to it like the kirkhammer, but other than that I love it
1: Church pick, the moveset on this weapon is just so fun and kind of unique to I just really love it lol
Come for the rankings, stay for the puns 😂
Chikage easily top 5
