We are going 2nd may, 30 days through the Panama Canal and ending up in San Francisco. We have cruised on the original QE2 in 1994, wonder how much has changed. A quick question, do you ask for the daily cabin charge to be removed ??
You have become one of my favorite cruise vloggers. Although I have thoroughly enjoyed all of your videos, I don’t think I’m ready to book a cruise on any of the British ships. As an American, I’m accustomed to the familiar food and entertainment of cruise lines that cater more to Americans. We are planning several European cruises in 2023, but will stick with Royal Caribbean. I love the tours of the ships you have sailed on and the day to day adventures you supply in a humorous and interesting way. Looking forward to your next trip.
Another smile worthy vlog from you 2. Queen Elizabeth is a very elegant ship and i am so pleased you enjoyed her. Now for the next vlog. Roll on The Queen Mary.!!!
Your welcome, Cunard are class! We have since been on the QM2 hoping to get the vlogs out end of April/May. We loved it so much we have 2 more cruises booked one to Norwsy and a transatlantic!
Hi Both! Just got off Queen Elizabeth in Southampton this morning after 14 days around the Canaries. We can honestly repeat everything you say - absolutely fabulous service from joining the ship (25 minutes including testing) and disembarking this morning (no queues and straight off at 8am). Fabulous value, fabulous ship, fabulous food and service - the only downer was the entertainment in the theatre was not quite up to P&O Headliners standard BUT MUCH BETTER THAN PRINCESS AND MSC! Altogether a wonderful experience. However beware that the cheapest wine is 39$ a bottle and a glass is 7$ or 14$ for a larger glass.!! (However you can take on 2 bottles). Cigarettes are cheap at an average of £25 for 200!! Bacardi was 30$ for 2 LITRES (only to take off at cruise end). Can't wait to get back on her and must say that the Lido Buffet was the best buffet we have experienced in 15 cruises - plenty of choice, and top class food and ALWAYS HOT!! Love your blogs! Best Wishes from Wales Anne & Gerry Hobbs
Thanks for your series, I have just done my first ever cruise which was with MSC. Really good time but I think I might try the other end of the cruising spectrum and book with Cunard for a short trip just to see the difference.
Your welcome! We love trying different cruise lines they all have something to offer and if its not for us we don't do it again! We have 3 more Cunard booked so fair to say they are one of our favourites!
I’ve just watched your series on Cunard and really enjoyed it. It makes me want to book now, it looks fabulous. I had the preconceived idea that the ships have different classes on board and first class would have different areas than those who stay in a balcony, ocean view or inside cabins.
It is a fabulous experience. There are different classes on board, you can book Princess Grill and Queens Grill which give you access to other areas. However, for us being in Britannia class was great and we didn't feel like we were missing out. Also those classes are way over our budget! 😂😂😂
Thanks Paul and Carol. We wanted you to know that we absolutely love your videos and can't wait for each one to be published. We love the dynamics of a couple that sees things uniquely and reminds us of our own relationship/interactions. We are new to vlogging and are inspired by how you are just being yourself on camera and let your genuine self come through! We are doing our first ever cruising out of Europe from Dover this summer and will be thinking of you both as we head across the pond!
@@PaulandCaroleLovetoTravel We are doing a B2B on the Carnival Pride out of Dover on July 31st. It does a 12-day run of Northern Europe, and then we do a 9-day trip to Scotland and Ireland. So 3 weeks! We are seriously considering a flight to Barcelona on Aug.22 to do the Cunard QE in the Med before heading back to Canada.
As a cigar smoker I can say that the Humidor on Cunard is one of the best stocked at sea and is super value - no tax! The Churchill smoking room has a strict cigar/pipe policy only - no cigarettes - and is well policed by both crew and passengers alike.
Another very enjoyable and informative video! Love the Art Deco interior, and very excited to go on her next month. It’s the same menu in the Golden Lion on QM2, so you’ll be happy :)
I've really enjoyed your Queen Elizabeth vlog series and I'm looking forward to seeing your Queen Mary series. It's lovely reminiscing about our previous Cunard cruises. I really enjoy lunch in the Golden Lion.
I cruised on the Queen Elizabeth Sydney to Fremantle for the first segment of the circumnavigation of Australia 🇦🇺 cruise last November Unfortunately 80% of the passengers caught covid and most of the ship was in lockdown. But I loved the ship, and the entertainment. I was cruising solo for the first time and really enjoyed it. A shame about the outbreak. I'm cruising the second segment Fremantle to Sydney on the Queen Mary II February. I can't wait. I enjoy your video coverages. Thank you. You definitely get the most from your cruises. Good on you. 😊
Hi Paul and carole thank you for doing the videos on the queen Elizabeth it was very interesting and love the ship . Will try in once day . Thanks kieran
Thanks for another fantastic Queen Elizabeth video Paul and Carole 🤩 loved the ship's tour - QE looks stunning! Have a brilliant time on Queen Mary 2 - looking forward to watching more of your Cunard videos 😍
Really enjoyed this series on Queen Elizabeth,as this was your last vlog I felt sad ,as tho' I'm leaving the ship too😔but hey ho.looking forward to your next cruise videos hopefully
Hi both, Looking forward to Norway ourselves! In June, on Iona,, love Olden fantastic scenery 😀 Our ships may pass !! Enjoy QM2 next week. Happy Cruising. 😊
While I enjoyed my cruise on the QE in Jan, I did find it a little bit lacking in atmosphere. Perhaps because it was in January, low season, and so the clientele was more "silver cruisers". Dare I say it, I found it a little dull. I did like sitting up in the Commodore's Club during the day with a book. But after three days, I needed something somewhat more exciting - croquet and bowls didn't really appeal. The music was great, but after a few days (we're on a 12-night cruise), I was craving something from the 80s and 90s. Nothing too modern, just some Rick Astley, Kylie, Keane or Coldplay would have done nicely. Sadly, there was none of that. I'd like to go on Cunard again later in the season, when the weather is warmer and I can stay on deck more. If this had been our very first cruise, we would have been put off cruising altogether. Luckily, we know how wonderful cruising is and have learned that cruising in January might not be for us. BTW, did you receive any invite to feedback after your cruise? I haven't. Does Cunard not do that?
Hi Paul & Carole I'm in Sydney & have just booked Queen Elizabeth to Tasmania in January we ate mad cruisers have 2 booked for October & November we have seen a ship here in 2 years we miss them.
The borders opened today in Australia to tourists you can come without restrictions if fully vaccinated. Plenty of cruises to Australian ports also the South Pacific have a look at Princess they do great itineraries.
We’ve recently subscribed to your channel as we’re about to go on our first cruise on Iona to Norway. Love the way you keep referring back to Paulie. I have a question about the Cunard prices . Why are they in Dollars not pounds? 😄
@@PaulandCaroleLovetoTravel Headquarters are in Southampton with an office in New York. Prices are in dollars because of the uniquely international clientele, particularly American. On any Cunard voyage there will be several nationalities. The most I experienced was 18 on QM2 (as informed by the captain's party).
Guarentee cabin means when we booked we just booked a balcony cabin catagory and didn't pick a specific cabin, you then get allocated a cabin number just before your cruise.
We have just returned from a 7 night cruise on Queen Elizabeth. We have been on 38 cruises and this was the worst food we have ever experienced. The afternoon tea in the Queens Room is a joke. Try Silversea if you want a proper afternoon tea. Cunard might have been ok once but not now I'm afraid
Oh that's a shame as that wasn't our experience. We would love to try Silversea one day and at quadruple the cost of Cunard, we would expect sonething pretty special!
Cunard are supposed to be famous for afternoon tea ! One day I had cannelloni in the Lido buffet and the filling was solid ! The lobster was dried up and the steak was tough
We didn't have to wear them on the dance floor on this ship. We only had to wear them when walking around the ship inside. The crew wore masks all the time.
@@PaulandCaroleLovetoTravel On our cruise in Jan to Portugal and Spain, the passengers had to wear masks while dancing. It put some people off, as they ran out of puff very soon.
Would you consider cruising with Cunard? Do let us know what you think!
Yes I would consider cruising with Cunard
Going on QE next Sunday 13th. First time Cunard. Usually P&O and Princess so looking for a change.
