What I find insane is contestants already getting hate because of their face?? When you ask people why they hate some contestants and their response is « their face is annoying » you truly know that kpop isn’t about talent to many people 💀
@@Zamcolo Sadly no. Contestants like Anthony and Krystian got bashed a lot because of their looks (they are super handsome people online are just… yeah)
This, honestly starting to think the only reason many idols don't have as big of a support is their visual - prime example, Hwanrok. Amazing vocalist, pretty good dancer who dances smoothly and lightly. But he isn't a normal super visual. He is pretty, but not this gorgeous above and beyond face. That being said, go support my boy Hwanrok. Or at least look at Withus - they are lowbudget nugus, but the music is nice ❤🤌😭
@@oniigiri1 kstans are more diverse than intstans. They are of all ages. It's in the west that kpop attracts MOSTLY the youths. So no, it's young, old, teens, adults and youths hating on you. Why do you think that companies always do what kstans want. If it were just kids they would never take complains seriously.
@@i.nv.u They’ve failed multiple times. UP10TION could be so big! The 2nd gen stans are always complaining about the 4th gen. But UP10TION reminds me of Super Junior with how fun their music is! 🤷♂️
I’ve seen how hard Jay has worked for years, it’s so unfair on him to lose so much support because of people who decided to spread false rumors about him
Kpop fans should stop believing in rumors and should stop making up fakt rumors! Imagine hating someone to the point of spreading fakt rumors. We had too many cases unfortunately.. soojin, garam, hyunjin and many others. Enough is enough
i’m honestly most concerned about woonggi and sungmin. wakeone sent about ten trainees in total, so clearly they have some plans if boys planet doesn’t work out. however, woonggi and sungmin were already in to1, a debuted and established group, before they were removed for seemingly no real reason back in 2022. if these two don’t make it into the final lineup, i fear that wakeone won’t put them in whatever boy group they’re planning. all this to say… vote for woonggi and sungmin lol
In my opinion I feel like wakeone kicked them out of to1 due to changing concept that didn't necessarily fit them. They have this cute charming vibe and wakeone is gonna debut a new group
@@havensohn3821 Then I'm more scared of what will keep the company from kicking people out of the potential new group because of such petty reasons... Music is made for the group, the least the company can do is make it fit all of the members in the group...
Actually it's a really simple reason: homophobia. Even if they're lgbt or not, they don't perform hetenormativity standards that were being criticized for a time, and them they decided to change these 3 for 3 more masculine members... But i'm really concerned too, for me it's kinda rude that Woongi and Jerome were from a debuted group and they choose another trainee to be the center. I like Hanbin but Woongi's performance was way better.
@@havensohn3821 welp, based on their current comeback seem fit to the boys who been removed to me. I understand the reasons they removed if their concept went to whole exo the eve, but they are drumin' drumin and oreum oreum taeg (+troublemaker) is still cute, fresh lively concept which fit to the boys that left the group 🤷🏻♂️ just my thoughts btw ...
I honestly heartily disagree with your take on Hui and Pentagon. They are successful and not being able to not "replicate the success that shine got" doesnt even count because out of all the streams they got who actually got the album? No one but universes. The fact that they went from 20k album sales in a month to 120k album sales in a week is definitely successful and I wish people would stop downplaying Pentagon's success and the fact that Hui really doesn't NEED this survival show to be successful cause he already is a steady and growing fanbase who has consistently gotten them over 100k week sales for the last year and a half is definitely more successful than a song that blew up once. I don't think they need to replicate the success of shine because they are already successful in album sales.
I agree with what you said about shine, however, Hui needs to join the show. Stop saying that pentagon is popular enough, and Hui doesn't need to participate anymore, because that's not true. Many bg are debuting every year and pentagon is already not as relevant as other groups. Their popularity is decent, but not enough for them to continue their career for the next few years. We all know how trashy cube is, and pentagon is already nearing their contract expiration. If ptg will continue to only sell 100-200k album sales, cube will definitely disband them because they're not bringing that much money to cube. Remember how clc got disbanded because they're not doing well? And how G-idle almost got disbanded if Tomboy didn't did well? I am almost a hundred percent sure that Hui joined the show to save pentagon. To keep the group relevant, so that they will be give the chance to renew their contract and continue as a group. Hui loves pentagon so much that he's willing to do everything for the group. What we can do right now is just to support Hui, not downplaying his choice. Make him debut since he's already in the show. I've known him since debut, and he would never abandon pentagon. His life revolves around the group, and whatever he does will always be for the group. Remember, shinwon said that pentagon is stronger than we think. Now, if we fail to make him debut or at least give the group more recognition so that they sell at least 800k sales, I'm afraid that cube will disband them after the 7-year mark.
@@Vevvvooovvv I definitely think there's reason for concern about PTG's future, even though I think they have been gaining a bit more success. Cube seems incompetent to me, and I could see them dropping Pentagon just to move on to a newer group. Regardless of what's going on in the background, I'm going to support him because I like him as a person and I trust him. Plus, he hasn't seemed particularly excited in the BP content I've seen (possibly because he's an introvert). Since he's put himself in this situation, I would feel bad when he's trying hard to make it work if he didn't get the support he's hoping for.
THANK YOU. Any group, especially one outside of the big four agencies would love to have a viral hit, and not having the same number of music video views on other releases doesn't mean they lost all momentum. Album sales are an extremely important metric.
One thing I find very interesting about boys planet is how the average level of vocal technique of the trainees based on pre debut content already exceeds all the other produce seasons. There is a high chance that whatever group debuts from this show will have the best vocal skills from all fourth gen boy groups. Popular trainees such as the two centres, sung hanbin and zhang hao can easily pass as main vocalists. There are numerous other trainees with good vocal skills, such as but not limited to Hui and hwanhee (to be expected), Kim Taerae, Park Gunwook, Jay Chang Cong, Wen Ye Chen, and many others. As someone who wants to hear more vocal focused groups in kpop, I have my hopes high for the debuting group of boys planet. Also, Zhang Hao is really quite incredible. The pre debut content he has paints a very good picture of him and what he would bring to the group. His dancing is quite incredible, being able to adapt both to masculine and feminine choreography and slaying both with ease. His body language when dancing is so strong and makes his stage presence also very captivating. He violin playing skills are no joke, and so is his singing. He is my number 1 pick right now along with Seok Matthew (underrated and under hyped dancer) and I'm happy to see him being one your top picks!
the boys planet fandom is already having a hard time restraining from bullying contestants and i'm afraid its gonna get worse when the show starts. like, you are free to form your own opinions on the contestants like jay, daeul, yedam, etc. but bullying them for unrelated things is just pointless. recently after the duo promotion clips were released some woongdeongies have literally been dogpiling on anthonny and it makes me so upset because when will we as a fandom ever learn.
idc what y'all say, Jay Chang is my #1 pick. He's talented and he shows that time and time again in the show. It's a crime if you're not gonna let him debut just because of petty hate and false rumors.
my main problem with boys planet is the fandom(s). Ppl are already being super toxic, like coming up with false accusations, making group chats just to hate on contestants's visuals and just generally bullying them online for no reason From the production side I kinda wish they didn't take trainees in from ACTIVE groups, cuz it divides the audience so much and leads to an ungodly amount of fighting between fans of these groups and bp solo stans.. and lastly I can already see/predict a really unfair screentime distribution from mnet's side. It makes me sad that some of these trainees will really go through all this hell and toxicity just to go home without really even putting their name out there...
My #1 pick is definitely wumuti, guy sings like rent is due, he was able to cover baekhyun's songs and mirotic effortlessly, witch are extremely difficult to execute, plus he can dance really well, has good stage presence and is super charismatic and sweet In conclusion STAN WUMUTI
What scares me the most is the way jiwoon will be edited. I wouldn't be surprised if he got a villian edit. The main reson I belive this is because I think mnet wanted the hype of having a bl actor in the show but didn't want him being part of the group since he will be controversial based on his past roles. This sucks because he really is a sweetheart.
oh hell naw he better not get evil edited, I'm not too worried though cuz I haven't seen a single person not put him in their top picks, I think he's got some good support to start with
honestly im afraid krystian will be evil edited, mnet has a bad track record of villainizing chinese contestants and krystian is really confident (might be perceived as arrogant). i dont think jiwoong will be evil edited, since he's one of the most popular contestant and has a very strong fanbase (dont think mnet would want that backlash). best case: he becomes the main character, worst case: mnet gives him no screen time in order to prevent negative attention from homophobes
I can see the predatory queer person stereotype being put on him, some of the Chinese trainees have been bullied for their looks and they might get Fu Yaning'd
With the way that he was edited in his audition video I think that they're going to make him a fan favourite imo. even though there is the risk of homophobia, theres a reason why entertainment companies in korea are practically throwing their idols into bl roles now. after jaechan's role in semantic error saved his group from disbandment, they know acting in bls can give a massive boost in popularity.
i’ve looked into the jay situation and it looks like they were all false comments from people who got kicked from his discord and were salty about it, and apparently jay also apologised for the stupid daddy joke soon after that live and admitted it was dumb lol
The amount of hate he gets for something that ISNT EVEN REAL is insane. Like why are people so dumb as to judge someone without first educating themselves on the situation? He literally did nothing
his haters are honestly just trolls and people who are very bored on the internet which is just sad bc it really is just either people who are the core of toxicity in cancel culture or just right up hate bots who just like clout and having somewhere to direct their anger, its honestly even bullying at this point
@@brennathecatlover4360 Kpop stans complain, saying the industry needs to stop debuting babies but then when there are idols & other people who are older or can atleast match their energy, it's also a problem. Just look at them complaining about perfectly adult (& comfortable) female idols, like Jennie or Yunjin, wearing short things. They can never win😭
@pablo blobby actually I bet its people who know that Jay is an actual threat because he's American and his vocals are top-notch. He also has a very beautiful voice and he's handsome. So people are making shit up so their faves will get in instead of him.
@@fabiopaf9 base on what's happening Jiwoong is pretty much guaranteed to debut. Anthonny is the one with the harder battle since G group is in the disadvantage especially now hearing what happen in the first mission.😭😍
First thing about Boys Planet that set me off the wrong way was pinning Korean contestants against Global contestants. I just don't think that's the mindset they should have... It may just be the editing that Mnet does but the way Boys Planet was about separating them and not encouraging teamwork, could cause a uproar. And not putting aside the fact that they will most likely end up in a group that's mixed. I want to support so many of the contestants, but the concept isn't something I wanna support.
The reaction to Daeul was bit overkill on twt. Isnt the criticism towards 4th gen groups is that they all can dance and NOT sing? Dauel hasnt showed too much of his vocals but the little he has he sounds pretty skilled. Dancing can be improved, its not like he is hopeless. But anyways my pick is Donggun for the maknae (i hope no younger than 17 debuts)
Allegedly, all of the accusations against Jay have been disproven. I don’t know if it’s all of them because 1. I don’t care enough about the show to investigate and 2. I haven’t been on Twitter in like over a week sooo… I’m very much out of the loop on everything lol But the point is, I did seem some things get disproven. And I’m just like… SERIOUSLY??? Can KPop stans go more than 2 seconds without throwing around false accusations at people? I swear, we’re never going to believe anyone again by 2025. An accusation will come out and the reaction be “Okay? Anyways.” 😑
This is already my mindset and has been that way for probably over a year now. Some people just thrive on making up stories to cause drama... Unless there's actual proof, I don't care one bit for accusations.
@@NoopyP And it seems like a lot of “proof” people provided for their accusations against him were fabricated. Like, there’s going to be absolutely ZERO credibility in KPop for actual victims if this keeps happening.
Honestly, same... It's actually concerning to me that nowadays when I hear accusations in kpop, my first thought always is "ok so what did people misunderstand this time?". I always dislikes the "the boy who cried wolf" story as a child, but it really does work like that unfortunately. :')
@@luisab3079 Exactly. And we’ve seen how former idols like Seungri and Keis are actually capable of ab*sing their power. I’m afraid that at some point, an idol will do something way worse. And just nobody is going to believe the victims because “Really? You don’t say? They did that? Cool story, bro”
My current Number 1 pick is Sungmin (ex to1 member Jerome). He and Woonggi went through hell (changing companies 3 times, with different group name and then 4 members left while 3 were added), so I’ll do everything for them to get into a more stable situation (even Tho it’s just a temporary group). Kpop industry is so fast and harsh to trainees, so even being able to get a second chance is a dream to many, so seeing Sungmin (which is my ultimate bias since 2020) in boys planet made me so happy!!! Please consider voting for him and Woonggi!!
I remember when TOO had to disband and what happened in the company. Seriously so devastating for them. I truly hope they get a lot of attention so even if things don’t work out, they’ll still get exposure!!
I'm the same as you, when they first debuted as TOO Jerome (Sungmin) quickly grew to become one of my ults in kpop. After following his and Woonggi's journey there is so much they've been through yet they just keep trying which is why I really hope they debut
The fact that Hui wasn't even available during the recruiting period to apply because he was enlisted that time paired together with Cube's obvious sudden change of plans (since everything was laid our for a Pentagon comeback) makes me really think this is more a media stunt for talks around the show and having people tune in. If you look at it, both sides may benefit for the mutual hype this is getting. It also doesn't really align with the CLC discard narrative as Pentagon is doing four times the numbers of them and as of shortly was extremely active on festivals, awards and gayos domestically and internationally as one of the rare 3rd gen groups. Anyone that knows Hui is aware how everything he does was and is always to get his groups name out I don't see him suddenly changing personalities. As his band member Shinwon also said after the news came out 'It's not the way you think it is. Everything we do we do for the group.' should be enough to assume that there is some kind of behind the scenes deal for both sides.
Thank you for your support for Krystian! He has improved since his last participation in YWY3 and he is much more humble now. I really hope he can shine more and Mnet can give him some screentime. He has been robbed of so much since the theme song MV, being sick and all. I am a long time fan and i have seen him improve over the years. I really hope he can debut here. He is, definitely, my top pick!
I agree with you on the first section but I think it also has to do with sponsors. Sponsors wouldn't want to trust MNET if they only have "no-name" trainees and so they wouldn't have enough funding. Also, I can't decide a #1 pick before the show so my top picks right now are Zhang Hao, Sung Hanbin, Dang Hong Hai, Woonggi, Sungmin, Jiwoong and Ricky!
Hui and Ji Woong all the way for me. As much as I hate seeing someone who is really overqualified to be on a program like this, these programs are great stepping stones for established groups to get a bit more traction. Pentagon isn't doing that bad, they have a solid fan base, they recently toured overseas, and they've had show wins, it's just the fan base isn't as big as you would think listening and watching this group. If Hui being in a new group for a while can help Pentagon get more fans then what he is doing is very brave and very self-centered. He could really be egotistical if he wanted to because he can back up just how talented he is, but I think he is going to be an amazing hyung for these younger trainees. Ji Woong has always wanted to be an idol but it never panned out so he became an actor - and a BL actor at that. He is super talented both in acting and performing and I really want his dream to come true as he is such a hard worker and really deserves a chance at his dream just like everyone else. In the past I would have put being a BL actor against him but because of the booming industry that BL is at the moment I think that is one of the reasons MNet cast him.
Nothing against those contestants, but for people to already feel/believe that some contestants already deserves a spot because of blank & blank is really unfair to other contestants.
@@shinyeee1709 I think every single kid in this program deserves a chance at debuting in the end group no matter where they come from or how good they are. This is just my opinion and why I like them, especially considering I liked them a long time before this show. Hell I've admired Hoe Taek for the last seven years lol.
even before that, we can see it clearly from the outfits; school uniform based which obviously screams produce. at least gp999 tried to stick to the concept with the theme song and purple uniforms
My number 1 pick is WUMUTI. I love his vocals and overall energy. He seems like fun and loving person apart from the AMAZING vocals, dance skills and visuals. He has performed Mirotic by tvxq and danced to danger by taemin. I love to see him perform!!!! I'm also rooting for my boys keita, haruto and honghai
The choice of “discharge” makes me wonder if the 3 trainees left of their own accord (health issues, family emergency, issues between them/their company and MNET, etc). But rather than say that, MNET chose to say they were “discharged” rather than they left to create/reenforce the idea that MNET is in control and doesn’t have any problems. ‘The 3 trainees couldn’t have left of their own accord or bc of circumstances out of their control, it’s bc we just don’t think they’re the right fit.’ Let’s be honest, MNET playing mind games like that isn’t that far fetched.
my top picks have been changing a lot but right now they're zhang hao, seok matthew, lee seunghwan and hyo! i really like anthonny, haruto, kim jiwoong and sung hanbin too :)
i have a crazy theory that hui will not be on the final line up but will have the sympathy that will make pentagon benefit from it. im not saying they need it, but it will make them more on the mainstream
I have a feeling that Hui will be in the final line-up. If you have been actively watching Girls Planet, there were two famous girl group members (Yujin from CLC and Bora+May+Jiwon from Cherry Bullet). Yujin being the most experienced idol got the chance to debut. I strongly feel that Hui will be in the final lineup. If he makes it, there are high chances of having another amazing group like Wanna One (I mean, Hui wrote songs for most of Mnet's survival show groups) and we could be blessed with so many bangers!!
The only reason I will be watching the show is because of Hui. He is so SO talented but he and Pentagon have always had very bad luck :( I hope he gets another chance in the entertainment industry by debuting in the group, he really deserves the world after how hard he's worked.
@a_n_i_t_a it is crazy and it's also weird for me to have someone so overqualified in the competition. But if it is HIS decision to participate, he is probably participating with the intention of winning, with the goal of being part of the group, and just because he is older you shouldn't disregard his wish (I don't know how to explain it in English lol). HE is the first person who is aware of his age and his status in kpop and I'm pretty sure making the decision of participating in the program was really tough and well though by him. So I will personally try to respect his decision of getting another chance in the industry and support him. (Sorry if my comment was messy)
@@darlinarlin2661 i feel like it might have been his own decision. usually, if companies are pushing active idols into survival shows, theyll push the youngest members and the foreign members (like xiao hwanhee from up10tion, jiho seowon winnie from nine.i). but then again, they probably wanted to create the same kind of buzz that yujin did, since hui has a high chance of succeeding.
@a_n_i_t_a if ur a fan and refuse to vote him u are selfish this is his decision to be on here. If u dont stan by all means vote whoever you want but if ur a universe lets not be like this
thank you for supporting zhang hao!!! Hes well mannered and quite safe to pick? (as in theres not really much dirt on him and cnetz have alrdy dug this far😭) Hope you continue supporting him and help him debut!!
OMG JAY CHANG?! I don't know what's going on, but I remember really liking him in Under19. Also, adding more experienced contestants also helps those who have none. Plus, we know that just because they have already debuted doesn't automatically give them a pass to top 10 (maybe for the first few rankings at most). People tend to like "new" and "fresh" faces.
my first pick is Ricky, his introduction video was really funny and cute and I think he's got good stage presence and visuals (he looks like a good dancer too but we'll see)
Jay in my opinion is innocent. all of the “accusations” against him are on his friends. I agree he could have made better choices but its clear hes changed and is a good person.
Exactly! And some of the people who's actions he's blamed for aren't even his friends but just randos and fans. So weird people are this confident blaming him for other people's actions
my number 1 pick is kim jiwoong! he´s so talented and hard-working and he´s been through SO much on his journey of wanting to become an idol. he really deserves to debut
wumuti is one of my picks! fell in love with him after watching a clip of him talking about how we should take care of our skin no matter the color, instead of just whitening it
My fist pick is Jiwoong , he’s soo talented, he can sing , dance and acts plus he’s very charismatic and cute . He really deserves one spot in the final lineup bc he already tried to be a kpop idol several times and you can tell that he’s super passionate about being an idol , he never gave up trying to debut, he waited for the perfect scenario to showcase his skills . I hope mnet doesn’t hate-edit him or something like that just bc his not from a big company😭😭😭 Pls give Kim Jiwoong lots of support 💕💕🙏🙏🙏🙏.
PLOT TWIST: Boys Planet led to the birth of the most perfect ZEROBASEONE LINEUP and turned out to be one of the best survival show (mnet editing aside) I've ever seen, each stages was legendary, the original songs are EXCELLENT, I still stream them regularly, the chemistry and bonds between the trainees are for most of them very endearing, entertaining, amusing, and for some of them very flamboyant and 🌈 ZB1, EVNNE, TIOT, Ampers&one, TOZ, OnePact, Build Up with Jay Chang and Wumuti, BDU, Waterfire, all these amazing groups created after Boys Planet, the legacy is very impressive and remarkable. I have re-watched Boys Planet about 3 times and I love re-watching the performances and extracts on TH-cam, this was so good, the trainees were so talented

Also both centers are immensely talented this season, so I’m completely fine with both of them making it into the final lineup.
for g group i highly recommend contestants like wumuti, zhang hao, krystian, and cong (+ dang honghai) ! theyre all really good in terns of technical skill.
My number 1 pick at the moment is Seok Matthew. He's so talented and charismatic! My top 3 (the 3 who I have locked in) are Seok Matthew, Sung Hanbin and Lee Daeul.
@a_n_i_t_a HE CAN LEARN I BELIEVE IN HIM!!! plus at least he can sing, in the kpop industry it's easier to learn how to dance properly than to sing properly
"I’ve seen how hard Jay has worked for years, it’s so unfair on him to lose so much support because of people who decided to spread false rumors about him" 100% agree
Just a thought re: your point about the word “discharged”. I believe in this context it just means they formally released them from the program, regardless of the reason. When you get discharged from the hospital, it just means they’ve signed you out - you can voluntary discharge yourself even against doctors recommendations. When you choose to leave the army it’s called an honourable (or general) discharge. It’s just a generic term used to describe a release of obligation from either party, not something I’d take to suggest nefarious actions on the part of the producers.
my main issue is why the hell are there so many contestants ??? as someone who doesn’t know all that much about these idols (except maybe 1 or 2), how on earth am i supposed to pick people to root for? it’s a crazy number !!
What do you think about the "allegations" that Boys Planet is marketed like a BL? I think it's interesting but I am also worried about how that might affect shipping in the fandom and later infighting in the fandom.
We’ll have to see, but for now it seems like it… girls programs are marketed as dramatic “cat fights” and boys programs usually as cutie buddies with double meanings and a lot of skinship.
I'm confused why Hui's there when Pentagon has just started lifting off. I felt like the best move would be focusing on them and giving them a comeback before attention on them dwindles but I guess I'm not the professional. Although it's not like Mnet and Cube makes smart choices either..
My number one pick has to be Park Gun wook. He's truly an all rounder, he sings really well, dances amazingly and his rapping *chef's kiss*. Stan talent (((:
8:25 honestly i have to disagree with this take. it's honestly a bit weird considering that 2 of these trainees have had previous / current public exposure (taegyun/tag being a member of ciipher- not to mention along with keita who is still on the show, as well as taoyuan/dowon who is a predebut member of xodiac and has been on a chinese survival show previously). i dont think it makes sense that mnet would *choose* these two to leave especially given their background, although i cant say much about the 3rd trainee. in fact, im very sure that dowon in particular left in order to prepare for xodiac (ocj has has pretty weird management ngl and maybe they made him leave so he could focus on his current group instead- and yes out of the blue because it seems like something they'd do specifically.) in fact i think the word "discharged" makes a little bit of sense considering the concept? of the planet?? maybe getting discharged from the spaceship? or maybe they just didn't want to say eliminated bc they weren't eliminated in the first place and couldn't think of a better way to say "left the show".
Learning that Anthony is Filipino makes me want to cheer even if half. I agree that while I love PTG too I feel like Hui is just cubes way of announcing their disbandment like they did CLC. I hope Hui does well but for all his work I’m surprised too to see him as a contestant. I feel like MNET is just trying to hold on to the survival show trade while taking from SM on the meta verse and other groups to stay global and it’s sorta going to be a disaster I think with the poor planning
Kino and Shinwon have both stated that they don’t have plans in disbanding.. of course this could be different on Cube’s part but so far Pentagon is doing well so it wouldn’t make that much sense to disband them.
I am seeing lots of predictions saying that this group is going to flop. But i don't think so. I think they will be known for everything other than music 🙂.
Saw someone literally hating on Woonggi for being HIMSELF. As we know, Woonggi is truly embraced by LGBTQ fans, because he supports them. And from his sassy, GG dance enthusiasm, and Rather feminine personality, It's Obvious for some reason? ( not concluding his personality. Literally saw people saying, don't vote for him just because he supports lgtbq and stuff, and same saying he's talentless and vocal, dance etc is below average like what??? I'm not a die hard fan of Woongi but I'm sensible enough to say he might not be the best out there but Woonggi got the whole package of personality and talent. I went further to say, This is literally the 21st century where idols Aren't determined based on dance and vocal ALONE and as we know, These companies already know that!. we need one with talent, personality worth grabbing fans into the Fandom (Ahem, Sunoo sii😍) Take example, A show with 10 members left finally. And 5 is to be picked From 1 to 5...you have talent based idols With little or no likeable or enticing personality and 6 to 10. you have idols with average or just good dance and vocal talents but Amazingly whooping personality people can't help but love..now tell me how's the final line up gonna be?? Of course if it's 7.. you'll get 4 talented and 3 full personality. There you go! because For me, Personality is one of the most important aspect in an idol. Talent of amazing dancing and singing can be improved and grown but Likable personality can never be improved! it's born within. So my point is , it's okey to pick an idol NOT because he's an amazing Dancer or best singer. but Just because you like this guy. He makes you smile, you can relate to him, Etc Obviously why Sunoo, ChanHee, Donpyo, Jimin, WoongKi etc are my bias and you can trace why. I love idols with personalities similar to mine. Those I can watch all day and support to grow no matter what. Even if they're not most talented in d group. A huge example here is I land. For those who saw it...Sunoo wasn't the best dancer or best singer..he was even Eliminate by his member most at times because they might view him average. But what does he have? Lovely face? Lovely personality. And for the the Sassy ( feminine attitude) which I like in idols (You can find me weird but it's my criteria for picking bias) and that same reason got sunoo always top1 in international voting!!! They Just love him for being him. And at the end... when producer was to pick either, k, Daniel and sunoo for final line up...based on my personal view...K was obviously a better and matured dancer than sunoo.. maybe Daniel? idk By they obviously can't let go of someone Loved my most Audience. they knew having Him would boast the group and catch in more fans because of his personality. And that is what I'm busy explaining lol. So I like Woongi for being him and I'll support him. So my point is vote for who you like! Because you can't say none of the isn't worth it because all these guys are literally working their ass off, dancing day and night and going through trauma of the industry just to achieve their dreams and you're sitting there in bed sleeping and saying... they're unworthy? Anyone saying that isn't humane at all..
love the woonggi support, believe that fans will always have his back. i get what you mean. my top pick is chen jianyu and he ranked d tier, but thats still my man lmao
My pick is jiwoong. I wanted to take it easy this time and pick someone I actually like that just so happens to have talent(I for sure won't vote for someone who can't at least dance) and he's pretty good at dancing not that anyone is my stlyle in dancing here. I listened to a few songs that he recorded for his dramas and they have been on repeat since which makes sense I like slower song and his voice is gorgeous. He's also very good looking and I don't tend pick members for looks really but this time no one having a voice I loved or dance that's my style I found him to be the most outstanding thing there. My secong is Anthony since the beginning he's an all rounder but I liked how idol like he fell and his public speaking agyo skill are the best I seen. I however will prioritize jiwoong because there's no pint for me in this group otherwise. I heard today that ollie is no good so I'm dropping him. As cute as he is I need skill. And my third is zhanghao and is really the voice for me that does it. I like his voice. Want to hear him and jiwoong in 1 track.
I used to Ult Too (later To1) and I wasn’t really someone who went looking for rookies or new groups but their rising sun performance on kingdom had a part that went somewhat viral and I noticed how insanely good they were considering they had just debuted and made the whole choreography themselves and made it fairly far with already established groups. They were really talented and were slowly but surely gaining popularity but then members left and are now appearing here as if it wasn’t going to affect their fans just dropping like that. I really really liked them and their reality shows was one of the funniest I’ve watched. It’s really sad and I won’t forget the time I had in the fandom watching and enjoying them
My number 1 pick is seowon, I was actually not really gonna watch boy planet until I heard he was going to be on the show, he’s my bias in nine.i and I don’t really care if he ends up in the final line up or not I just hope he’ll get screen time and won’t be evil edited He’s a really good vocalist and dancer and has a really bubbly personality
My top 3: 1. Keita (I've been watching him through YGTB and ciipher, he's an ace and the world needs to know who he is.) 2. Lee Hoe Taek (So talented and I would like to see him get a second chance.) 3. Zhang Hao (His skills are amazing, so I will be keeping an eye on him.)
Do you really think that with MNET's manipulation it would debut so many Chinese? 😂 one way or another they will find a way for as few Chinese as possible to enter
Some people forget that kpop should be all about TALENTS and performing. It’s not about their visuals because that can just be a bonus to their talents. I hope as they think about the word KPOP, they realize that it’s absolutely NOT about who looks handsome or cute or whatever. Picking my top 9, I disregard their looks, and rather look at their fancams. Visuals are pleasing to the eye but this is kpop. People should prioritize their hard work and talent before their face. 😂
One thing tho I think stray kids had a pretty successful year in terms of boy groups since they charted one on billboard 200 and got 3 million album sales 2 times in a year Just mentioning that since you said boy groups didnt have much success in 2022 but its true that the new girl groups were payed more attention to
skz are already an established group with a borderline insane fanbase though, and they sort of own the “noise music” genre - they’re an exception. maybe they would have seen even more growth if boy groups were still on top last year but they were never going to flop lol
As a stay i completely agree i would also say that SEVENTEEN also had a great year. I agree mainly girl groups were popping off last year but mainly rookies i would argue that it was mainly rookie girl groups who were getting popular e.g New Jeans, IVE, and LE SSERAFIM with just a few older gg gaining more popularity e.g (g) idle and Blackpink. whereas many established boy groups who have been around for a while had a great year e,g TREASURE, SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, and NCT.
Ever since GP999, I’ve already decided that no matter what the contestants seem to be, imma just assume that MNET is trying to cook up drama. I’ve made my mistakes once, I’m not gonna make my mistakes twice
many people think that hui didn't choose to join bp but that cube received pressure from mnet to send someone/him onto the show to get attention which makes a lot more sense than hui choosing this. this theory is supported by the way mnet is using Hui for clout (the editing in the teaser, the fact they made some boys perform shine, etc.) it also makes sense because hui was added later on. furthermore him and pentagon were talking about an upcoming comeback that now suddenly didn't happen. Hui also mentioned on several occasions how much he looks forward to performing with pentagon again if you look at the introduction sheet he filled out it makes sense too: he put Ju-Do-Yo!! as his favorite song. That song is written by him and shinwon for pentagon. It's a love confession to their group and members. He would never attempt to leave pentagon like this just to debut with some rookies.
luv the vid juice as always, don't like how all these accusations are being thrown around without evidence especially after the garam situation. my top 3 right now is Krystian- I love his aura was drawn to him immediately, and then I got invested after learning his story Jay - yes Ik the rumors and from what I have seen they have been proven false. Jay was the first person I noticed on the show and when I found out more about his talents I was in awe and was too invested than I planned to be Ricky- first of all same age, and the charisma, like this boy is so funny to me and again got invested
I won't be able to take it if Jiwoong doesn't debut. He's a talented singer (I didn't know this before but he sang the OST to ROM304) and an amazing dancer. He's really passionate about being an idol! He's tried before and the groups didn't turn out well and he's become an successful actor. He could've given up, but he hasn't and admire that from him. I'm seeing a lot of the sentiment from others, but I'm worried that people will try to drag him down just because he was in a BL series. He's already gotten PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED because of it. I really just hope for the best for him. He's my number one choice! Also I think Mnet is 100% using him for views.
hui said in episode 2 that he wanted to get more attention to pentagon bc as time goes on more and more people are less willing to work with them. and while i absolutely get that, I still think that if he had that concern mnet should've made him a mentor on the show as a very active vocal coach and music producer beside solji. they have like 3 dance teachers, i don't see an issue with getting more vocal coaches, i just think that he's too good to just be a trainee. he may not be the best dancer, but he's an amazing vocalist and an actual music producer with about 7 years of experience. i just can't understand why he wasn't one of the mentors or the special music producer guest. i just dont see how him being a trainee will benefit himself or pentagon if he gets chosen for the group. they'll get some fame out of this, but this is mostly time that i think could've been more useful if they just did more promotions instead of having their main producer be busy with this show. maybe that's just me being upset that he's even being sent to this show in the first place, but dude i just can't accept that he's here. unlike the idols who come on here are actually nobodies, hui is known. he's made great songs that are super popular, so as a fan i want him to still do more things for his professional career. i don't want to see him get demoted to a trainee again, it's upsetting to see. i just wish pentagon had to go on variety shows for promotions instead of survival shows
I don't know the contestants very well yet but when I found out that Anthonny's role model is Daehwi it made me super happy and surprised, I think I'm going to root for him too :) and I can't wait to see his performances BTW great video and nicely said
What I like is that the Chinese and Japanese companies obviously called out MNet on the Girls Planet results (the last formating changes that made there be only 3 international members in final group) and hence all the Japanese and China contestants are individual trainees. MNet has made it so tthey control the situation. Lets see if we can call their bluff and get 6 international members as it should have been last time. Otherwise they need to change the name and call it Boys of Korea and friends.
@@ronniehaley9747 agreed, if the voting system is the same as last time, knetz will have the advantage and choose the k group members + a couple token g group members. having 4 g group is a low bar but will be difficult enough.
@@i.nv.u i hope Mnet scrap the 50% k votes and 50% g votes like last time. it is highly unfair. there are many good g-trainees as well. even if they want to prioritize debuting k-trainees more than g-trainees, i am still ok with 25% K votes and 75% g votes. this is fairer i think. or, scrap entirely and let the star creators (us, the fans) decide. the fandom should take priority cause we are the target audience for the created group. if a trainee is good enough, i dont think we need k votes to weigh more in order for k trainees to debut. he can make it to debut himself with own hard work.
After watching Episode 2... MY TOP PICKS IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER SO FAR • Sung Han Bin • Seok Matthew • Jay • Keita • Hui/Lee Heo Taek • Park Gun Wook • Kim Ji Woong • Lee Seunghwan • Zhang Hao My picks are not biased on any company or shows they used to be in. This is all because of their raw talent and determination to further improve themselves in Boys Planet 999.
I’m not sure if I sounded bad for saying this but I feel like mnet would try to “remove” 1 trainee so the number of contestants will be even and they can do the 2 person duo thing(similar to the cell system in gp999) because things won’t work with 95 people, what are you going to do with that 1 person?😭 It looks like mnet tried to keep the planet theme to convince the viewers that this isn’t literally just a space them pd101 so I’m pretty sure they would keep the cell or duo system but boys planet have more pd101 feel to it compare to gp999 from the outfits, the song and the grading maybe it’s because mnet realized how badly gp999 flopped..💀
i agree that the duo thing. the pr clips w/ dang honghai alone were fine, but i think when the show really starts there'd have to be a group of 3 or maybe theyd split into easier divisible groups (like groups of 5 or smth).
What I find annoying is that the fandom is being so mean. People are hating on contestants because of their visuals, spamming rude comments on the fancams of contestants they think performed horribly, spreading false rumors... when will people learn?

You joking right!?
@@Zamcolo Sadly no. Contestants like Anthony and Krystian got bashed a lot because of their looks (they are super handsome people online are just… yeah)
This, honestly starting to think the only reason many idols don't have as big of a support is their visual - prime example, Hwanrok. Amazing vocalist, pretty good dancer who dances smoothly and lightly. But he isn't a normal super visual. He is pretty, but not this gorgeous above and beyond face.
That being said, go support my boy Hwanrok. Or at least look at Withus - they are lowbudget nugus, but the music is nice ❤🤌😭

i’m honestly most concerned about woonggi and sungmin. wakeone sent about ten trainees in total, so clearly they have some plans if boys planet doesn’t work out. however, woonggi and sungmin were already in to1, a debuted and established group, before they were removed for seemingly no real reason back in 2022. if these two don’t make it into the final lineup, i fear that wakeone won’t put them in whatever boy group they’re planning. all this to say… vote for woonggi and sungmin lol
And Shine never won a music show, whereas in the last few years they've won 2 music shows.
SAY IT LOUDER!!
Omg yes finally zhang hao appriciation! He is my number one pick but as a center he is quiet underrated. He is one of the most talented trainees fr
i mean X1 also did have great vocalists, but yeah this season surely seems well

the boys planet fandom is already having a hard time restraining from bullying contestants and i'm afraid its gonna get worse when the show starts. like, you are free to form your own opinions on the contestants like jay, daeul, yedam, etc. but bullying them for unrelated things is just pointless. recently after the duo promotion clips were released some woongdeongies have literally been dogpiling on anthonny and it makes me so upset because when will we as a fandom ever learn.
OMG WHAT, could you send me the link ? thanks
idc what y'all say, Jay Chang is my #1 pick. He's talented and he shows that time and time again in the show. It's a crime if you're not gonna let him debut just because of petty hate and false rumors.
deadass
my main problem with boys planet is the fandom(s). Ppl are already being super toxic, like coming up with false accusations, making group chats just to hate on contestants's visuals and just generally bullying them online for no reason
From the production side I kinda wish they didn't take trainees in from ACTIVE groups, cuz it divides the audience so much and leads to an ungodly amount of fighting between fans of these groups and bp solo stans..
and lastly I can already see/predict a really unfair screentime distribution from mnet's side. It makes me sad that some of these trainees will really go through all this hell and toxicity just to go home without really even putting their name out there...
My #1 pick is definitely wumuti, guy sings like rent is due, he was able to cover baekhyun's songs and mirotic effortlessly, witch are extremely difficult to execute, plus he can dance really well, has good stage presence and is super charismatic and sweet
In conclusion STAN WUMUTI
wumuti is my top pick too! ^-^

Nah, if they want money, they will debut him. BL has a chokehold internationally, and they need the group to get the fans of BL.
Bruh he’s allowed to make sexual jokes he’s not 5 most idols are like that even the teen idols

I haven’t been on Twitter in like over a week sooo… I’m very much out of the loop on everything lol
But the point is, I did seem some things get disproven.

Honestly I’m more hoping that Hui can escape Cube entertainment
Mnet is trying to push it to be more as the produce series cause the alphabet ranking is back which knetz loves
truee
even before that, we can see it clearly from the outfits; school uniform based which obviously screams produce. at least gp999 tried to stick to the concept with the theme song and purple uniforms
didn’t they only create gp and bp so that the police would get off their backs 💀
1 They ain’t nothing wrong with jay YALL just like making up stuff 2nd he’s talented , great at singing , and a really nice person bffr y’all
All of the proof was posted before he was even announced to be in boys planet bfr there has been threads on him since 2019 he is not innocent at all
My number 1 pick is WUMUTI.
Yes he was in a show called chuang 2021 and in a group called SWIN-S

The choice of “discharge” makes me wonder if the 3 trainees left of their own accord (health issues, family emergency, issues between them/their company and MNET, etc). But rather than say that, MNET chose to say they were “discharged” rather than they left to create/reenforce the idea that MNET is in control and doesn’t have any problems. ‘The 3 trainees couldn’t have left of their own accord or bc of circumstances out of their control, it’s bc we just don’t think they’re the right fit.’ Let’s be honest, MNET playing mind games like that isn’t that far fetched.
i heard yeomtag got covid tho (from a ciipher fan). not sure really
They honestly could’ve left on their own since being on any show is exhausting
My picks so far are Hui, Matthew, Zhang Hao, Ricky, Jiwoong, Seowon, Choi Jiho, Wumuti, Keita and Haruto 💕💕

i have a crazy theory that hui will not be on the final line up but will have the sympathy that will make pentagon benefit from it. im not saying they need it, but it will make them more on the mainstream

(as in theres not really much dirt on him and cnetz have alrdy dug this far😭)
Hope you continue supporting him and help him debut!!
Anyone a Wumuti, Ma Jing Shiang and Hui stan? I want them to debut together and dominate 2023.

He really deserves one spot in the final lineup bc he already tried to be a kpop idol several times and you can tell that he’s super passionate about being an idol , he never gave up trying to debut, he waited for the perfect scenario to showcase his skills .
I hope mnet doesn’t hate-edit him or something like that just bc his not from a big company😭😭😭

My first pick is zhang Hao
Others are krystian,Kim jiwoong, Anthony,Han yujin ,sung hanbin, seunghwan ,keita ,dong hai ,woongki ,junseo

What do you think about the "allegations" that Boys Planet is marketed like a BL?
I think it's interesting but I am also worried about how that might affect shipping in the fandom and later infighting in the fandom.
How is it?
@@climberkitty6683 I don't understand your question 😅
@@IlloyedKater how is it marketted like a bl show?
@@markigirl2757 the poster, the interaction thingies...
8:25 honestly i have to disagree with this take. it's honestly a bit weird considering that 2 of these trainees have had previous / current public exposure (taegyun/tag being a member of ciipher- not to mention along with keita who is still on the show, as well as taoyuan/dowon who is a predebut member of xodiac and has been on a chinese survival show previously). i dont think it makes sense that mnet would *choose* these two to leave especially given their background, although i cant say much about the 3rd trainee. in fact, im very sure that dowon in particular left in order to prepare for xodiac (ocj has has pretty weird management ngl and maybe they made him leave so he could focus on his current group instead- and yes out of the blue because it seems like something they'd do specifically.)
in fact i think the word "discharged" makes a little bit of sense considering the concept? of the planet?? maybe getting discharged from the spaceship? or maybe they just didn't want to say eliminated bc they weren't eliminated in the first place and couldn't think of a better way to say "left the show".
My picks (for now) are Hui, Ichika, Anthonny, Jiwoong, Wumuti, Dong Dong, Sung Hanbin, Cha Woongki, Kim Minhyuk and Jeong Ichan ^^
ANTHONNY MUST DEBUT HE DESERVES IT ALL
Learning that Anthony is Filipino makes me want to cheer even if half.
Please consider supporting kim jiwoong! He's very talented and handsome and has a very lovely personality.
Literally all fake rumours about Jay got debunked
Watching this after Boys Planet ended. So sad that my #1 pick Jay Chang didn't make it. He was 116,117 points short on getting to Top 9.
I am seeing lots of predictions saying that this group is going to flop.
But i don't think so. I think they will be known for everything other than music 🙂.
Exactly
I think they'll be known more for they're zestiness, personality, visual and People will push aside they're talents
@a_n_i_t_a The variety shows will be crazyy
Shine went literally viral all over the world. Just because Pentagon songs don't go super giga viral doesn't mean they're not popular/successful.
I went further to say, This is literally the 21st century where idols Aren't determined based on dance and vocal ALONE and as we know, These companies already know that!. we need one with talent, personality worth grabbing fans into the Fandom (Ahem, Sunoo sii😍)
Take example, A show with 10 members left finally. And 5 is to be picked
From 1 to 5...you have talent based idols With little or no likeable or enticing personality and 6 to 10. you have idols with average or just good dance and vocal talents but Amazingly whooping personality people can't help but love..now tell me how's the final line up gonna be??
Of course if it's 7.. you'll get 4 talented and 3 full personality. There you go! because For me, Personality is one of the most important aspect in an idol.
Talent of amazing dancing and singing can be improved and grown but Likable personality can never be improved! it's born within.
So my point is , it's okey to pick an idol NOT because he's an amazing Dancer or best singer. but Just because you like this guy.
He makes you smile, you can relate to him, Etc
Obviously why Sunoo, ChanHee, Donpyo, Jimin, WoongKi etc are my bias and you can trace why.
And at the end... when producer was to pick either, k, Daniel and sunoo for final line up...based on my personal view...K was obviously a better and matured dancer than sunoo.. maybe Daniel? idk
By they obviously can't let go of someone Loved my most Audience. they knew having Him would boast the group and catch in more fans because of his personality.
Anyone saying that isn't humane at all..
love the woonggi support, believe that fans will always have his back. i get what you mean. my top pick is chen jianyu and he ranked d tier, but thats still my man lmao
exactly. every group needs a member as their dynamics. balance is key. it sucks that ppl are quick throw hate for no sensible reason
@@starrbitz1229 Yeah. Exactly. A well balanced group consist of people with various dynamics, not only Dancing and singing

EVERYONE PLEASE ROOT FOR ICHIKA. THE BOY HAS AMAZING VOCALS, IS TRILINGUAL AND IS AN ABSOLUTE SWEETHEART.
I really like him too 😊
i miss your videos i hope you're doing okay these days !!! take care of yourself !
It’s really sad and I won’t forget the time I had in the fandom watching and enjoying them
same. i really saw great potential in too after watching rtk and it made me become a fan.
My number 1 pick is seowon, I was actually not really gonna watch boy planet until I heard he was going to be on the show, he’s my bias in nine.i and I don’t really care if he ends up in the final line up or not I just hope he’ll get screen time and won’t be evil edited
He’s a really good vocalist and dancer and has a really bubbly personality
My top 3:
1. Keita (I've been watching him through YGTB and ciipher, he's an ace and the world needs to know who he is.)
2. Lee Hoe Taek (So talented and I would like to see him get a second chance.)
One thing tho
I think stray kids had a pretty successful year in terms of boy groups since they charted one on billboard 200 and got 3 million album sales 2 times in a year
Just mentioning that since you said boy groups didnt have much success in 2022 but its true that the new girl groups were payed more attention to
skz are already an established group with a borderline insane fanbase though, and they sort of own the “noise music” genre - they’re an exception. maybe they would have seen even more growth if boy groups were still on top last year but they were never going to flop lol
No one cares about these noisy monkeys
Yea true
As a stay i completely agree i would also say that SEVENTEEN also had a great year. I agree mainly girl groups were popping off last year but mainly rookies i would argue that it was mainly rookie girl groups who were getting popular e.g New Jeans, IVE, and LE SSERAFIM with just a few older gg gaining more popularity e.g (g) idle and Blackpink. whereas many established boy groups who have been around for a while had a great year e,g TREASURE, SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, and NCT.
Other than skz, svt and which ever nct subunit it was that week, bgs were really overshadowed last year
Ever since GP999, I’ve already decided that no matter what the contestants seem to be, imma just assume that MNET is trying to cook up drama. I’ve made my mistakes once, I’m not gonna make my mistakes twice
honestly I am just hoping my fav/ricky gets more than 2 minutes screen time as it is the case for most foreigner contestants
many people think that hui didn't choose to join bp but that cube received pressure from mnet to send someone/him onto the show to get attention
which makes a lot more sense than hui choosing this.
this theory is supported by the way mnet is using Hui for clout (the editing in the teaser, the fact they made some boys perform shine, etc.)
it also makes sense because hui was added later on. furthermore him and pentagon were talking about an upcoming comeback that now suddenly didn't happen. Hui also mentioned on several occasions how much he looks forward to performing with pentagon again
if you look at the introduction sheet he filled out it makes sense too: he put Ju-Do-Yo!! as his favorite song. That song is written by him and shinwon for pentagon. It's a love confession to their group and members. He would never attempt to leave pentagon like this just to debut with some rookies.
Honestly that makes me feel so much better after reading this
luv the vid juice as always, don't like how all these accusations are being thrown around without evidence especially after the garam situation.
my top 3 right now is
Krystian- I love his aura was drawn to him immediately, and then I got invested after learning his story
Jay - yes Ik the rumors and from what I have seen they have been proven false. Jay was the first person I noticed on the show and when I found out more about his talents I was in awe and was too invested than I planned to be
Ricky- first of all same age, and the charisma, like this boy is so funny to me and again got invested
I loveeeeee to1’s woonggi im so glad ill c him again 😄 hope he’ll debut again
The jerome fancam hit hard:(( he was just perfect in TOO. I miss TOO :(((
This video sums up why I never took boys planet seriously
hui said in episode 2 that he wanted to get more attention to pentagon bc as time goes on more and more people are less willing to work with them. and while i absolutely get that, I still think that if he had that concern mnet should've made him a mentor on the show as a very active vocal coach and music producer beside solji. they have like 3 dance teachers, i don't see an issue with getting more vocal coaches, i just think that he's too good to just be a trainee.
he may not be the best dancer, but he's an amazing vocalist and an actual music producer with about 7 years of experience. i just can't understand why he wasn't one of the mentors or the special music producer guest. i just dont see how him being a trainee will benefit himself or pentagon if he gets chosen for the group. they'll get some fame out of this, but this is mostly time that i think could've been more useful if they just did more promotions instead of having their main producer be busy with this show.
maybe that's just me being upset that he's even being sent to this show in the first place, but dude i just can't accept that he's here. unlike the idols who come on here are actually nobodies, hui is known. he's made great songs that are super popular, so as a fan i want him to still do more things for his professional career. i don't want to see him get demoted to a trainee again, it's upsetting to see. i just wish pentagon had to go on variety shows for promotions instead of survival shows
i was trying to vote and it was so difficult when half of the contestants literally couldn't sing.
Ricky ahahaha he is literally sooo funny I honestly don't care about the show Oh my gosh his personality is just 😫😫
my top picks atm are matthew, ricky, and donggun. i have more ppl in mind but i’m looking forward to these 3 the most !
I don't know the contestants very well yet but when I found out that Anthonny's role model is Daehwi it made me super happy and surprised, I think I'm going to root for him too :) and I can't wait to see his performances
BTW great video and nicely said
My #1 pick is Ricky because he is young , rich, and handsome. ( also a talented king!)
Otherwise they need to change the name and call it Boys of Korea and friends.
if they are 11 in the debut group, we would be lucky to have 4 G-group trainees in the debut line-up. This is Mnet we are talking about.
MY TOP PICKS IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER SO FAR
• Sung Han Bin
• Seok Matthew
• Jay
• Keita
• Hui/Lee Heo Taek
• Park Gun Wook
• Kim Ji Woong
• Lee Seunghwan
• Zhang Hao
My picks are not biased on any company or shows they used to be in. This is all because of their raw talent and determination to further improve themselves in Boys Planet 999.
I don’t watch survival shows so I have no idea what’s going on but all I need is for Ricky to win LOL
Same, he was so funny in his introduction and that’s how he caught my attention lmao
his calm, confident demeanor is everything
btw I'd love to hear your opinions on boys planet and zb1, since I've been following the show this whole time and it became my obsession
I’m not sure if I sounded bad for saying this but I feel like mnet would try to “remove” 1 trainee so the number of contestants will be even and they can do the 2 person duo thing(similar to the cell system in gp999) because things won’t work with 95 people, what are you going to do with that 1 person?😭
It looks like mnet tried to keep the planet theme to convince the viewers that this isn’t literally just a space them pd101 so I’m pretty sure they would keep the cell or duo system but boys planet have more pd101 feel to it compare to gp999 from the outfits, the song and the grading maybe it’s because mnet realized how badly gp999 flopped..💀
i agree that the duo thing. the pr clips w/ dang honghai alone were fine, but i think when the show really starts there'd have to be a group of 3 or maybe theyd split into easier divisible groups (like groups of 5 or smth).
What I find annoying is that the fandom is being so mean. People are hating on contestants because of their visuals, spamming rude comments on the fancams of contestants they think performed horribly, spreading false rumors... when will people learn?
In regards to the metaverse thing, just watch girls reverse. Its so much better than what mnet will try to cook up 100%
