If you haven't seen them in person it's a MUST. The deafening engine roars the smell of methanol and the insane looks of the ramps in a lit up stadium is SICK. I don't recommend an arena though as they don't have much room to play with. I've gone to at least 7 shows from a kid to a teen to an young adult and it still gets my hyped.
I remember the old original Bigfoot days.... WAY back. The stuff they do today just blows my mind! Like the way they can drive out of almost any situation... Rollover, flip, whatever. Amazing! The reflexes it has to take to do all that.

I've gone every year for almost 30 years now. It's pretty diffrrent but fun just the same. They've ditched the pro stadium trucks, quad wars, sand drags, tractor pulls and such. They've cut down on the amount of racing the monster trucks do but added a 2 wheel skills comp and there's no more crush cars.
I don't know who this guy is, but that what very well articulated and explained. I never though much about those truck, and I'll certainly watch it with a new interest.

Already having worn out spinal issues, the air these trucks get and then the landings, make me hurt just watching it. Watching Zac in the Miata and/or BMW making those hard landing hurts to watch too. I can't look away though because there were days of big air and hard landings in my youth once or ten times too. It's all for the thrill or what's the point of being alive? Keep up the content guys, it's good fun and all of your personalities come across very well. I'd love to hang out, wrench and fab some cool toys and eat some good groceries with you all.
plus flying that thing on the ramps that put on a big strain on thr body just by the Mass and the inertia of that thing on the landing without that gear you'll end up with a broken bone or spine. those who drive those man admire that bravery
We need more cockpit cams of them driving! I still don't know how these guys and girls survive jumping those things even strapped in like that! I'd have to strap my hands to the wheel cuz you'd think it'd pull your arms off the wheel landing like they do! Major respect to those who send it like they do!
Still to this day the best freestyle by Todd Leduc world finals years ago in metal mulisha with his entry jump too start. The way Tom Meents has his suspension set up, plus the Anderson's who started the hole mad sport. When there on it there on it.
TBH any time you're in a harness, and it's not tight enough, you're asking for trouble. I see guys running 5 point harnesses down the track with them so loose, they're flapping in the wind!!🤦♂️
the process he is talking about is the same one we use for mounting saddles, you get it as tight as you can but 2 mins later if you try again you can get it even tighter

We use ratchet belts in the UK for BriSCA F1 and you ain’t moving with them. I’m honestly surprised there not used more
