@@danielbrealey2924 the original Humvee or Hummer H1 all had portal axles. That was a little different tho. Kinda like a drop spindle but the opposite. The wheel spindle was actually lower giving move ride height but the front driveline stayed the same. The Portal Boxes connected the wheel to the CV axle above. Idk if it was 1:1 or geared down some. But it allowed the CV axle to stay at a much more level angle. Like lifting a stock truck, the single CV axle from the front diff straight to the wheel can cause extreme angles.
But ya the video of rhe Burn Yard, compared to what they usually run it, its a TINY spot. Just a little paved parking lot. He absolutly shreds it, drifting and figure 8s. Then they trow a K rail out in the mix and he jumps, a slap wheelies, nose wheelies, and rides the sidewalls all in this tiny lot. 11/10 must watch
I went to MonsterJam when I was about 3 or 4 years old, probably my oldest memory. And I can remember seeing the driver of grave digger either getting on top of the thing, or standing outside of it (probably the latter) and just taking it all in. Seeing the menacing paint job and flag waving while it rains death to a bunch of broken cars is beautiful. Even though I’m older now I’ll always be a child at heart, and monster trucks will always have a soft spot in there.

Wish my boys were still small, relived my youth through them. Grave Digger and now the sons Willys,. Why I always loved it, my dad has a 53 since 81. Anderson is the legend! Its crazy how far the family has come. My great uncle who just recently passed away. Sold his father his first trailer to haul grave digger. Grew up going down to the shop every year on my birthday to see the trucks. Amazing machines.

This is my first time watching one of your videos... but I'm a HUGE Monster Jam fan so when I saw this in my recommended videos list with Ryan Anderson, I didn't hesitate to watch it! I love how passionate he is about Monster Trucks. I could listen to him talk all day! I really enjoyed learning about the art work on his truck and hearing about his childhood. He's doing an amazing job carrying on his father's legacy. I watched this video and the one where he talks about the track and everything. That was awesome too!

That was definitely without a doubt the most detailed in depth breakdown of a monster truck I’ve ever seen. I already knew a lot of what he was talking about from 11 years of watching monster jam on tv but there was stuff in there he talked about that I didn’t even know

Even after scouring the internet to figure it out there is minimal information on these badass monsters. So I was stoked too see you jabrones of all people drop some knowledge on me!!! So badass great job guys!
I rode dirt bikes with ryan once when I was a little kid on the dirt ramps behind the dungeon, he was maybe 10. he would go up the jump backwards and send his bike flying. Old guys around the shop called him "wildman". This obviously carried over into his driving and now he's by far the most entertaining to watch
Grave Digger was my favorite monster truck when I was a kid. I had so many toy trucks of all the different designs it had. This is pretty damn cool to see how one of these trucks works

Loving the variety. You guys ever think of doing a build break down on a pulling tractor? I would love to see up close how they couple together multiple 2000+hp motors or how they get 2500hp out of what used to be a 150hp diesel
Search tractor pulling on TH-cam. No shortage of videos. Basically it’s a competition to pull an ever increasing load to furthest distance. Depending on what class you pull in will affect how much HP you are allowed to have and how much the tractor weighs. The unlimited tractors can have whatever engine combinations they want. Some have as many as 5 X 500+ cubic inch blown hemis. In the pro stock classes they will have diesels with multiple turbos running 100 psi boost in some cases.

Just came back from watching the first Monster Jam in Johannesburg , South Africa. Damn what a good shop, a pity that Son-Uva-Digger didnt show up but the regular Gravedigger gave a great show no the less, can't wait for them to come back next year!
I missed my calling, I should have been involved with monster trucks. I'm 41 and my wife loves to take me to monster truck shows...not because she likes the trucks ...she says she watches me 😂. Not only are these thing just WICKED!!! But I'm a chassis mechanic, I get super nerdy about these things .....I have mad respect for the Anderson family and what they have done for this motor sports....just awesome.
I like that you guys don't use overkill camera gear when you film this. It shows that if you choose the right gear you still get good picture and sound.
monster trucks are awesome, we all grew up watching Bigfoot. Support these guys as much as possible. It's a tech loaded machine with plenty of power but these guys are fan driven,they always show appreciation to the fans , most important they are kid friendly, these guys are always including the local kids at their events,the next generation of mechanics and inventors are at those shows.

Two sons.....at least.....Adam and Ryan....Ryan, in this video, obviously drives Son-Uva-Digger.....Adam drove Gravedigger Legend, then started driving Gravedigger when Dennis retired.
@@casada70 Bc Weston isnt 18 yet. You got to be 18bto run with MJ. But we are not 100% sure if Weston will come to monster jam or stay in the mega truck scene with dennis. Adam. Ryan, and Krysten are all doing great in MJ tho.
Amazing to see how far these trucks have come in the last 30 years. When I was a kid, it seemed like axles were ripped out and spindles were sheared off at every event. It looked like the right rear had an oil seal leaking a bit 😣.
I've seen Monster Jam in the UK twice now. The first time we went, we met Ryan and Dennis Anderson outside of a restaurant in Cardiff City Centre. They were such awesome guys and so nice, my friend had a photo with them, and I honestly thought he was gonna pee his pants he was so excited. They put on the best show with the Gravedigger trucks.
How awesome is it that the driver knows the anatomy of his vehicle like this! Dudes like tweaking! Definitely knows his shit! You definitely have a few screws loose if you drive one of these things! I would love too!!!! I got plenty of loose screws!

Two sons.....at least.....Adam and Ryan....Ryan, in this video, obviously drives Son-Uva-Digger.....Adam drove Gravedigger Legend, then started driving Gravedigger when Dennis retired.

@@casada70 Bc Weston isnt 18 yet. You got to be 18bto run with MJ. But we are not 100% sure if Weston will come to monster jam or stay in the mega truck scene with dennis. Adam. Ryan, and Krysten are all doing great in MJ tho.
Amazing to see how far these trucks have come in the last 30 years. When I was a kid, it seemed like axles were ripped out and spindles were sheared off at every event.
It looked like the right rear had an oil seal leaking a bit 😣.

I've seen Monster Jam in the UK twice now. The first time we went, we met Ryan and Dennis Anderson outside of a restaurant in Cardiff City Centre. They were such awesome guys and so nice, my friend had a photo with them, and I honestly thought he was gonna pee his pants he was so excited. They put on the best show with the Gravedigger trucks.
How awesome is it that the driver knows the anatomy of his vehicle like this! Dudes like tweaking! Definitely knows his shit! You definitely have a few screws loose if you drive one of these things! I would love too!!!! I got plenty of loose screws!
