This is the first time I'm hearing about nuisance donkeys...it's not like they're doing donuts in the street. They eat grass/brush. Natural firefighters. Leave 'em alone, hee-haw's.
I love the donkeys, and the only reason they are getting overpopulated in that specific area is because so much of where they used to roam has been developed into new housing and more wear houses. And without the donkeys, that area is a total wildfire waiting to happen. I hope they come up with a better solution . The donkeys are one of my absolute favorite things. I wish they would stop building so much and convert some of the old abandoned stuff. 😢
People should stop driving so fast through the canyon and that would avoid accidents. There are signs saying that they are around people don't want to slow down. Especially now that people are coming into this country they are impatient and drive like fast and act like they can use the brakes. They were here first. People need to stop driving through there if they don't like it. I hope God deals with you people for those that keep messing up the habit for the animals. Animal's are always blamed for the ignorance of humans. God created them to not just you!!!!!
So people can’t handle themselves around donkeys in high traffic areas? Lol. And this is somehow labeled as a “donkey problem” and not a “people problem”? Gosh…our view towards wildlife is so warped, it’s disgraceful.
cali in the 1800s was a beautiful natural reserve like the amazon rainforest. Now 200+ yrs later its nothing but dry baron land... guess whos responsible?
Back in the 1970's, Knott's Berry Farm had burros for kids to ride. Farmers use tractors these days, so they probably don't have much use for them. My friend's apartment manager had a surplus of skunks in her apartment complex, so the skunks got euthanized. I sure hope that if they decide these burros are not welcome here, they will choose relocation-not euthanasia.
Wow! We wild burros in so cal? Amazing! I see a guy walk his burrows every morning at 10 am in my area. It always makes me smile to see the 3 of them on their morning walk
I live in a neighborhood where the donkeys roam through. They do get in the trash and leave a major amount of droppings on the sidewalks and all over a nearby park. More dangerously, they cross busy and high speed Reche Canyon Road. Many have been killed and injured. A woman was even killed a while back after hitting one at night. However, I hate to see them removed entirely from the area. Too bad Donkeyland can't be expanded to accommodate more of them. ✌️
I had them on my street in grand terrace other day. I love them I don’t mind having to clean up after them heck my Neigbors say it’s great fertilizer. People need to slow down and we need better street lighting and warning flashing signs about donkey crossing.
The only nuisance here is the people complaining about the burros, which have been roaming around the area long before those people came to town.
Leave them alone

The problem is the heavy traffic, not the donkeys.
Leave our burros alone.

This is sickening and total heartbreaking. Leave these precious donkeys alone!!! There is plenty of room for them to roam.

I’m sure they drive ev and wear masks
Why does every comment have to go to mask wearing and COVID? U R a dope.
What’s wrong with the idea of “catch and release” ? It works for the community cats. It could work for the donkeys !!!!

Bro San Bernardino government is so washed. They should be a bastion not a blemish
Just leave the animals alone. Why can’t the wicked ones never leave innocent animals be or do good to them?
