Thank you so much!! I have my hero7black and I motovlog. I record, stop recording then my powerbank charges the camera, BUT it keeps making my GoPro freeze so I have to pull over and take out the battery and put it back in and turn the powerbank on again to recharge. In a comment below it talked about taking the battery out and just use the powerbank and when you record it still charges!!! I have no clue why I haven't thought of that before!! I thought I had to have the battery in always. GAME CHANGER!!! Great content bro 🤙🏼
Dude, I'm very Impressed. I do fishing videos on my channel and I have had issue after issue trying to build a rig that will 1. Record all day, 2. Allow decent audio, and 3. Withstand the absolute beating my bass boat can dish out to a camera rig. I think you've shown me exactly how to make that rig. I'm definitely using them links and getting this for myself. I can easily see how to rig this up to work on my windshield of the boat with some slight changes but I really appreciate sharing this rig.
I guess Im asking the wrong place but does someone know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly lost the account password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me.
@Nathanael Harlem I really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Is it better when using an external power pack to keep the battery in the GoPro. I did try this but the camera and internal battery seems to get very hot. As it’s constantly charging? 😊 thanks
Just remove the internal battery from the gopro, and just plug in the powerbank, all the problems will be solved, at least that's what worked for me, it was so simple! and yet I found this information 1 year after the purchase of my gopro hero 7 black!
Great video. I wonder how long that Power bank you are using lasts recording at 4k? I may get away with a smaller one as I need max of 5 hrs of recording.
I'm new to gopro and motorcycle video I'd like to record for 4-6 hours will this set handle that and if so what size sd card would I need for up to 6 hours of straight video. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN PROVIDE ME
I've heard Hero 7 Black with external power and external mic results in videos where the audio is out of sync with the video. Is this still the case, or was that fixed in an update?
Hi, I just got my 1st gopro. A 7 black and all the feedback I've seen reports the gopro mic adapter won't allow external power and microphone use at the same time. What gives??? In fact did you demonstrate both functions on this video?
I don't have exacts. But the complete setup with charging bank is probably 1.5-2lbs (around the weight of a small mirrorless with kit lens with the added bonus if all day power). Without the cheese plate and charger probably a pound of less.
Everytime I try to record with my hero 6 connected to the power bank it records for a second and then cuts off, then when I unplug it the recording works, any ideas how to stop this?
Mine didn't do this but I did hear of people having trouble with it. Someone suggested to start recording and then plug the power bank in. Not sure if it will help since I didn't experience that

@@TheReTurnersFlips I read on the gopro forum that the battery does not charge when filming. when you remove the battery, your powerbank will act as an external battery even when filming
@@TheReTurnersFlips can't believe you didn't just try it without the battery inside, yes, it does work without the internal battery, i record it all the time without the battery in the 7, in fact, it's less likely to overheat doing it this way.
bbck15 I think you are correct. I tried my GoPro 7 with an internal battery and a power bank connected while recording. The internal battery didn’t charge and the camera eventually shut down once the internal battery was drained.
Very good. Thank you. I just got a Hero 7 Black a week ago.
An important factor you forgot to mention is...Hero 4 and older can only
be plugged into a 1.0 AMP port to charge or use for external power.

WHEN YOU USE A POWER BANK DONT PUT THE GOPRO BATTERY IN THE GOPRO CAN FRY YOUR GOPRO
Thankyou. I just needed to find out how to remove the door and this video answered that. Watched the rest to see how you did things.

THE WAY YOU HAVE THE BATTERY PACK LOOKS LIKE THAT WOULD BE IN THE VIDEO
Mostly what I use are the go pros

What’s the point of all day power when it shutdowns after 1hr due heating.
What Amp output do you use? I heard 1.0 ponly, however ihave not seen this info on any TH-cam video can you helpe
Have you checked out the Hero 7 Vlog cage from Ulanzi? It has a built in holder for the adapter below the GoPro.
nice demo mate
i got overheat when using external power bank about 20 min, any solution
No sorry I haven't had that happen.

I use the Rode Videomicro but have switched to the Rode Wireless Go and love it.
I haven't heard of the wireless go. I'll need to check that out. The less wires the better.
TheReTurnersFlips it attaches right to the cold shoe mount
Does the gopro 7 get hot if the power bank is running the gopro for more that a hour constantly
Great setup! Thanks.
do you think a power bank can power a gopro all day without the battery in?
Just use a ulanzi powerbank grip! Saves all this rigmerole!

What brand memory card do you use and is it good for 4K recording on go pro 7
Thanks for the video AMIGO...
What is the length of the USB to USB C cable. Is 6" long enough?
nice setup ..thankyou

a big Thank you for that whole set up
love from INDIA
Will this setup work without the internal battery? Could you simply run everything off the external power bank?
Won’t get so hot that way but I’m still deciding if I should keep the battery in or not because it’s constantly charging
Great ingenuity!
Thanks for the help 😎😎😎
One more dumb question, do I need to buy a USB-C Adapter to plug-in the Anker directly to my GoPro7
Sorry, just answered my own question, but keep up the good job
Great set up, thanks for posting.
Awesome detailed information on the video

D.M.Turner Nice. GoPro seems to be out of the mic adapter and I’m reading there are issues with it and speculation they may be redesigning it.
You can still get them on ebay, they come with a mic and stuff for $130 or something, I got one a few months ago, still seen them on there yesterday

what kind of velcro is that
Hi, thanks for the video. Did you use the powerbank with the internal battery? Is It possible to use the powerbank without the internal battery?
As far as I know you need the battery in. The power bank is essentially charging the battery during use more than it is powering the camera
Do you have a problem with it overheating and shutting off @4k60?

Where did you find that screw to attach the cheese plate?
It's the small rig tripod mount. I think I put a link for it int he description.

love it
Nice that’s so useful 👍
Nice video! What memory card do you recommend? 128g? Hugs from Brazil
I do have a 128g card in mine. That might be Overkill though. So far I haven't come close to filling it up even with 4k
aye my grandson can you tell me the battery back up.
Well configured guy! I would have similar vid on Go Pro Hero 4 if you can.♡♡♡
