Taraji standing up out weighed the whole audience standing up. We must not measure our accomplishments and accolades by the recognizing and approval of others. We must only be concerned when we are recognized by our own.

The fact that she’s the black Meryl Strep and gets waaaaaaaay underpaid 🤦🏾‍♀️ and the fact that not many in that room stood up for her... is a perfect example of how we still have such a very long way to go.... she’s definitely an A list actress ❤️❤️❤️ Black people stop waiting or expecting others who do not know your journey to give you praise or awards... make your own awards and give your own self praise 💗❤️💗
