Simply the best at explaining photohsop. You get down to the "why", nit just "here's how you do it!", but you show _why_ it works. This is why I love you. Thank you!

The first thing that came to mind is what others have mentioned: the way you present things is so awesome! You're friendly, and you help me to not be intimidated by all this. And you're so good looking too.

Excellent tutorial. You can also use apply image to make masks. Duplicate your background and add a mask, with your mask selected go to Apply image like you normally would. If you want the Mask to be darker just use apply image to it again. Since you can invert the mask there are some cool things you can do.

What would be the difference between this and simply duplicating the layer and putting that one in the desired blend mode ? You could then use the blend if to adjust channels snd it seems less destructive

    Question: Hey Unmesh!
Once i heard there is more than one way than the shortcut "control/J" to make a copy of a layer. Thats not all. I heard too, that it makes a difference in the layer quality/layer properties, if you use another method. Do you know something about this informations?

I was stuck for a while when I changed the images to match size. I did match them but the changed image did not come up as a choice in apply image tool. I looked at the image mode and the changed image was CMYK 8 bit. I changed it to RGB 16 bit to match the applied image layer. Still no choice. It was only after I saved the changed image that it came up as a choice. Long way around but I found a couple of other items to consider.
