I've played this on BGA and Tabletop Simulator and they both shuffle the cards in each group to randomize the order that they come out.
Well done! I initially thought that this was just an easy version of Agricola, but there really is a lot of unique stuff setting this one apart.
i have agricola and AFFO but i like caverna's theme over these 2 by a mile, agricola is my favorite of these 3 gameplay wise, but Caverna has donkeys who doesnt want donkeys!!!
Great video and editing !
And dogs! Love the little dogs too! The rubies are pretty nice too 😊
Thank you for the watch and the lovely comment 🤩
Personally I feel AFFO, with its expansion, is Uwe’s opus.
Thanks for the playthrough and the extra mile you went with the editing! I especially enjoy your in-depth thoughts at the end of each video. There are actually less action spaces in the solo variant, I think it's four of five of them that are supposed to be covered at the start of the game. The expansion comes with 4 unique buildings per faction that replace some of the basic ones. In a solo game, you could chose 3 random factions and use their buildings to get a variable setup.
You're welcome thank you for watching! ☺️ I believe it's the boards I had and skip round 9 only for solo? At least that's what it says in my rulebook, what other spaces do you think should be covered?? Ahh I didn't know that about the expansion, sounds quite interesting actually!
@@bluedogboardgames It's easy to miss but the rulebook says that you should cover action spaces 1, 5, 6 and 7 with overview cards (like in the picture on the last page). Makes resources a bit tighter
Blimey!! You are correct!! Cannot believe how easy that was to miss! Thank you- noted and will add a note to the vid too.
I almost purchased this one the other day but opted for LeHavre instead. Fun solo game as well. Cheers
Thank you for the watch!
I hadn't planned on grabbing Le Havre as wasn't sure it was that great solo, but you like it? Is it similar to any of his other solo modes? I like the look of Le Havre
It’s the only Uwe game I’ve played solo, but it was fun. Probably best at 2. Maybe similar to Parks in a way, in that you move your worked down a linear track collecting resources. 😊
Ooh, this is the next one I decided to take a look at as well from Uwe. Read the rulebook a few nights ago. Haven't tried it on BGA yet but, it looks very fun from your playthrough.
Thank you for watching! It is good fun! So much to think about especially with the buildings! I hope you enjoy it 😊
Good video
Thank you! I appreciate your support and the watch 😊
I really enjoyed watching your playthrough of A Feast for Odin (actually bought it afterwards :)). Is this game different enough from AFfO that would make it worth having both?
Hello and thank you for your kind comment 😊 I do feel Caverna is quite a different game from Feast, Caverna is much more focused on those building tiles and creating bonuses that way. I would probably say that I wouldn't personally see a need for Agricola and Caverna as feel they are extremely similar in feel
well, it looks like i need to unwrap by caverna box!
It's really good fun! I spent the first game or two though completely ignoring all the buildings as it was just too much to think about all in one go 😅
