Had this game since it first came out and bought it because it it be played solo.....haven't played it yet ! Have over 400 board games and not sure which to play next....due to not boring physically well space is a problem. Been playing R&W small games. Must think positive. Enjoyed your video. Thanks. 🙂

With you top down camera it would be very beneficial, as the viewer, to have you player meeples layer down. It is hard across videos to see what is placed where without lying the tokens/meeples/resources on their sides. To make viewing easier.

lol, you did actually score 90 points, because you forgot to take the nature token for your last hawk (topmost, rightmost). :) I appreciate a lot that you don't just complete the playthrough but review the game giving long and articulated thoughts as well. Most content creators do one thing or the other (another strong solo gamer who does both is Purple Moose. I suggest to check out his content, if you like. Both of you have criminally low views!).

Re: the characters being all women (which is true of One Deck Galaxy as well). I remember people asking why on BGG, and somebody saying, "What if I want to play as a male character?", and the creator (who's a man, Chris Cieslik) answering something along the lines of, "You can certainly play as a male character. Just not in one of my games".

Great playthrough. You definitely had a bad beginning with all those traps (which is funny because those weren't meant to be the starting doors, since you paid the 5-time cost in the reverse order), and you still got awfully close to beat the dragon. Small nitpick: potions don't work the way you used them in this playthrough. They're not skills, they don't take a skill slot, they get tucked under the turn reference (page 18 of the rulebook, Identified Potions).

Found your channel with this video! I'm gonna binge so many things! :) However, as a non-English native speaker, I don't understand what's the word you're using for "ore". Peat?

oh, a Feast for Odin and the expansion! i need to grab a sandwich and drink and sit and watch this. i have played this 4 times and have only played with the Norwegian expansion. excited to watch!

With the four slot having BOTH money and emperor it makes sense to boost it because you get the money back and net an emperor

I’ve seen people talk about print and play games all the time on Reddit but I’d never actually seen one played until now, I’m quite surprised and may have to try one out myself sometime! Didn’t realise you 3D print 😮 I got my first printer a couple months ago and I’m absolutely obsessed with it 😂

When Feronia has to take a creature, it has to be the one stipulated on the solo card - the arrow to the left of it (based on the current card when you did this action) denotes which way to go on the Borderlands until you reach a creature. However many steps you took is however many spaces Feronia's veteran worker moves on the RP track. You only moved it once, it should have moved at least 3, and then again for the second creature she couldn't take.

I agree with the other folks that this looks genuinely cool, and I’ve signed up so Kickstarter lets me know when this goes live.

I just bought this game and was a little confused by the solo setup for Feronia. After it says to set 5 Elders in the supply and then one Young villager as the Eco Track tracker, it says in the rules to 'Give Feronia 1 Veteran Villager'. But I don't see where or when this is ever used? In other videos I've seen solo setups they do not give Feronia a Veteran villager...do you think this was a misprint or am I missing something?

I love this game but I think you’re right about the 3 coin acquisition for the automa. Seems a bit excessive to me as well. Everything else about the solo mode appears to be more “balanced”

27:40 I don't know if they changed the rules in the revised edition for this, but in the original you cannot cook sheep you don't have room for. They escape before you are able to cook them.

i have the deluxe version. have yet to play this one solo despite being primarily a solo player. very fun game though and Alley Cat did an excellent job on it

I've played this on BGA and Tabletop Simulator and they both shuffle the cards in each group to randomize the order that they come out.

I love Uwe games and felt similar to you about Glass Road. I didn't have a problem with Wayfarers, enjoyed it. For Meadow, try the Solo Campfire Variant--gives the game a little bit more without being too much for a chill time.
