Oh my. For Only $200 you can convert a minivan into a basic simple liveable space. Van Life and rv living doesn't get any more budget friendly than this. This minivan conversion meets all your basic needs? It has a comfortable bed, a kitchen area, toilet, running water, and even a garage to store your extra equipment and supplies. While this minivan does have a refrigerator and small power system, those items aren't included in the basic build cost as many nomads start out without either a refrigerator or powe4 system. Inl recently met a young man at the Home On Wheels Alliancr Bring HlYour Own Vehicle Build whonl had been living in his van without a power system for three years!!
Simplicity and the easy build are things that stand out in this build. Check it out for yourself.and see if it isn't something you could do. Let me know in the n comments what you think of this build my Tim from MoBang FoYoBucks. - บันเทิง
I LOVE simple or no build builds. ❤️
Me too Esther🙂
Something Mr Tim said that was very interesting! He said, "stuff U don't wanna look at", "it stresses U out". i.e.,organization of ones belongings is pertinent when living tiny!
It sure is!!
Tim is a smart man with a generous heart. Love the practical & affordable design.
Tim is always coming up with creative but affordable and easy solutions for not only nomad living but just lifenin general. He even shared a video on how to kill weeds with dish soap and vinegar!!

Thanks for featuring Tim and his creations. Glow on, Carol!
How much would it cost to add electric for a fridge and small microwave?

Thank you, Carol! I love all of Tim's videos! He is the DIY king! I actually met up with him in Napa, CA when he took a road trip a couple of years ago...he had his older Sienna then. We walked downtown together, and had a wonderful immediate sense of friendship. He has all sorts of clever ideas, and he is a terrific human being! I have the same year and model van as he does, so I take particular interest in what he does with his van. Glad to see all of you folks having fun together!
Sounds like you spent a great day with Builder Tim 🙂

The Tiny Fest dayblong events are always interesting and I may meetup with some folks at the one in Pleasanton, Ca in September. Of course I will be having my winter meetup in Quartzsite in January.

This was amazing. He is such a talented individual.
Tim must stay up all night thinking up these great ideas🤣
Where is this great looking campground with hookups?? Tim is a treasure!!
It is in Julian, California. William Heise County Park. There are also some fabulous campgrounds up in Mount Laguna, Ca.. If you are ever in Waco Texas, try out the Corp of.Engineers campground at Waco Lake. There are some campsites right on the lake in the first or second loop with water, hookups, BBQ and fire pits and a cover. Showers are free. $12 with the America the beautiful Pass!! Also Dixon Lake in Escondido, Ca.
I love the simplicity and functionality of his build!
Mee too. Especially the low cost!!
Love his smile!
Tim definitely has an engineers brain. I would love to see him build a van out from a empty shell, and of course budget friendly. This is another informative interview, thanks Carol!
Thank you my friend🤗 I would love to see Tim build out a van from start to finish too. That would be EPIC!!
People's creativity always amazed me ,
Me too. I always think."Now why didn't I think of that? 🤣

Thank you Lisa🥰 Tim really is all that and more. He is always willing to lend a helping hand to someone who needs help with their rig. He has certainly helped me.
We were in the process of finishing out our patio to enclose it when builders starting knocking down trees surrounding our acreage. I am taking every last loose beam with me!
With the way things are, I think I might be able to just build my own tiny home!
What a wonderful, intelligent man!
Thank you for your channel and all the ideas!
Tim’s inexpensive designs and builds are amazing, thank you for sharing 👍🏾💯🇺🇸
Tim's ideas are indeed amazing. Even a cool toilet seat from pool noodles 🤣
Love Tim’s van.
Me too!! Tim always has creative and easy on the budget ideas.
This is real Vanlife. Not the countless TH-cam posers out there doing it for views.
WOW, Tim Tim is very inspirational to me I keep searching and watching videos on the different type of rigs that I want to select for myself however I too have a minivan and his ideas are very very interesting giving me ideas to see what I really want to do with the minivan thank you🧚🏽♂️🤗💙
Sometimes just using what you have and making it work for you is a great idea, at least for the time being, especially if you grt good gas mileage.
Tim is an amazing guy. He has brilliant ideas. I love his van build. I especially love his solar panel secret storage and his kitchen and his running water and everything else. 😍 😄 Thanks for sharing Ms.Carol and Tim.
🤗❤👍🏻

Exactly. Start simple and add as needed.
If only the world was full of Tim’s 👏👏👏❤️🙏
Tim's van builds keep getting better and better each time. This one looks so roomy!! I love the chair recliner, the tarp, how things (such as his kitchen that comes apart to be used for other things), and the simplicity of his water system. The man is a genius!!!!
He really is a genius. Aren't we.lucky that he shares his ideas with all of us😊
Tim is amazing 😊 Where can you get the blue recliner ? Thank you 💛

Smart guy! Dependable vehicle
Enjoyed the video I hope one day to meet you and Tim.
That would be a lot of fun. I may do a meetup with folks at Lolapalooza in October or at the TinyFest in Pleasanton, Ca in Texas September . But definitely in Quartzsite in January.
@@gloriouslifeonwheels3621 both events sound interesting where can I find information on where/time they’ll be. I’m traveling right now for 4 months. Started in Los Angeles, went to Vegas and Utah and now I’m in Colorado and upcoming stops are Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico. Plan to be back in Los Angeles by October.
This man is so neat !

🥰💛🧡❤💚🥰
Great job! Tim.
Hi Carol & Tim, Great job Tim. And your right ,the configuration will change often.,to take advantage of the space you have in the van. I always said that l would chase the furniture around in my house, & l still do that in my van. I 💖 Tim's moto of being frugal. Thanks Tim & Carol. Sorry l didn't make it to your Meetup. Looks like l missed a good time, and Tim's egg roll. 💕&🙏's. Ms. Fee.
We missed you at thr meetup. It really was a blast. There's always January🙂
So many cool and brilliant ideas. I love when things work like a Swiss Army knife! I hope I get to meet both of you one day when I finally get on the road.
I look forward to meeting you down the road one day🙂
What a smart and kindred spirit. He reminds me of the people back home in Hawaii. Great lil video.
Tim is very creative and an excellent builder. The guy has skills!!!
He really does. But then so do you with that smart valve on your shower!!
@@gloriouslifeonwheels3621 Thank you Carol.🥰
Love that toilet seat idea!! Great build
It was hard for.me to pick my favorite thing. I think the awning in my.other video.with Tim is my favorite "Tim" idea.
It was nice to see how your friend has improved his vehicle to be more comfortable and useful.
Just wait a month or so and he will change it again🤣
Love watching these frugal builds. Tim seems like such friendly and helpful guy.
Tim is one of the most helpful folks in the van life community for sure.
Awesome!!!👠🚌👠
What a sweet man. And I love his mini van build. Been looking to downsize. I admire all those that live in such a small space with a big happy smile.
Love it
I would end up spending $200 on the spices. Have you seen how much those cost lately? I’d have to settle for living in a cardboard box on that budget. Tim is creative, resourceful, and so genuinely humble. A super nice guy.
Creative guy. Great job.
This guy has a great smile.
Nice inexpensive way to car camp for sure.👍🏼
It really is and good gas mileage!!
Tim is so creative and handy. I just met Adriana (Many Roads No Rules) and she mentioned Tim and how handy he was so it was cool to see his setup (we also chatted about you Carol). I originally had planned to get a Travato but the price now is crazy so I am considering converting the mini van. I am inspired by how nice and tidy they look. Adriana was kind enough to show me her van and it was spottless and tidy and I was amazed at how everything she carried was thought out and essential. Thanks Carol for introducing us to Tim and I will be following his channel as well.
Adriana is a dear.. I met with her and some other ladies for lunch awhile back in San Diego. I love the layout of the Travato with thendouble beds. In fact I think it is my favorite. But the price is outrageous now. I heard from someone who just bought a "basic" Solis and she said the price was reasonable. But, given what can be done with a minivan and the gas mileage, I would seriously consider that if I were looking now, especially a Hybrid. Good luck finding the perfect rig for you.
I love love Tim's ideas. So practical and creative. I can see his brilliance.
I am always excited to see Tim's newest idea.
Updated:
I just happened to see your channel, and others similar channels recently, and I think that you, and others sharing their actual reality, and some have expressed some of the up, and down sides to van, RV, or vehicle living.
I believe that it is very helpful, and beneficial to others who may be thinking about this type of living without actually thinking through, about the some of the realistic problems that could occur with vehicle or van living etc.
People need to know what up sides there are, as well as some of the down sides of vehicle living.
I believe this channel, and other channels have been informative to others, including myself.
Although, I am NOT living in a vehicle or anything like this.
I feel that you , and others TH-camrs sharing this with your viewers will be very helpful.
I wish you ALL the Best with your traveling endeavors.
I shared this with another traveler as I watched their TH-cam channel for the first time, as yours, and I shared with them this information that may be helpful to you as well to others.
Therefore, I would also like to suggest a few Safety tips, and items that may help you, or others in your viewing audience.
Although, you may have knowledge of this already,
I am not sure, so I hope this will be helpful to you, others or someone.
*Keep a Extra working cellphone with you or in your vehicle.
You can purchase inexpensive phone with a very low monthly price between 25, 35, 45, dollars a month with unlimited data and text, and some have Nationwide coverage
Do your research for the best fit for you
Carry Several Extra portable phone chargers, and cables.
Consider theses items:
*Mini portable power charging station.
I have also seen outdoor portable solar powered power stations, that can be recharged from sunlight this may be very useful to have, to power your devices.
*Cellular signal booster for outdoor use, and camping situations to boost or amplify your cell reception,
Research to see what you prefer.
*Very Inportant:
Invest in a SOS distress electronic signal device, this a kind of device can send out a distress signal with your exact location.
There are various types of these devices, and including devices that can be used when boating or camping situations.
*Some have emergency Strobe lights SOS signaling with location alerts, and location updates that can be sent to your family, and emergency first responders.
Some can be synchronized with your smart watch or phone.
You can check online, and on Amazon, research what SOS devices will be a good fit for you.
*Mini portable vehicle battery charger-( portable vehicle battery jumper cables )
*Vehicle Jumper cables
*Keep a Fire extinguisher handy
Mounted Dashboard camera front and rear possibly.
Exterior vehicle cameras
Interior vehicle cameras
*Flashlights or pluggin spotlights
*Portable spotlights, and lanterns
Keep a few whistles around with you, and in your vehicle possibly in your vehicle’s center console
*A set of long range 2 way radios, walkie talkies, with others during trips, some have 100 mile radius keep for emergencies.
Use your own discretion regarding the use of any weapons.
Don’t forget to bring
Bear Spray
Pepper spray
Where is allowed
Keep in contact with your family, friends etc.
Although, I just noticed your TH-cam channel, and other similar channels.
You seem Very Aware of your surroundings and Alert, and you may be aware of many of these suggestions, however, I Don’t know, so I just posted this anyway to help anyone who may benefit from these suggestions.
Keep up with the latest Weather Updates, beware and prepare for unexpected Weather events and conditions.
Keep your vehicle gas filled
Don’t chance your Safety by running your vehicle fuel or gas too close to Empty.
Fill it up anyway, it will save you alot of time, and headache later on.
Keep Extra financing, and savings for any unexpected issues, vehicle repairs, and overnight stays, in a emergency or if you need to rest indoors.
Keep Enjoying Yourself,
Keep Enjoying the outdoors, and Nature
Just..Please continue to

Cool setup
1. I noticed his cabinet base slants back toward the wall, allowing for more foot/leg room. What a good idea, worth mentioning and emulating (0:26). Yes, we all want counter space but we also need foot and leg room. This is a good alternative.
2. His use of a hard solar panel and the storage system is so simple - it is not susceptible to being broken by something being pressed against it the way "portable" panels are.
Total dude! Nice one Tim! 🥰
Oh my goodness. Tim you’re amazing. And very intelligent. Thank you for sharing your van
So many great ideas!!
This guy is great I've never seen a split level minivan before
Pretty cool for sure.
