    That was a real nice video with lots of connector work. These things are notorious for oil seeping out of the stator housing down the stator wire and into the connector. Good practice to run the wire up where it exits the housing and then back down so the oil seepage doesn’t run down into the connector. IMO resistance created by a low, weak battery is what creates the heat that burns the connectors up, so a good battery tender and a new battery every three years is great prevention.

      Thank you for watching.. 🖐.. I have not come across oil travelling down the wire before, but I move wiring away from the engine to keep it away from as much heat as possible. But a weak battery isn't good at all.. the single phase stator is not as good as the 3 phase but the copper core is too small, resulting in excess heat from the power flowing through the conductor, which makes higher resistance. It is the job of the regulator rectifier to absorb this but results in overheating and then melting the connectors..
      Also, if the copper contacts in the connectors become oxidised, then this will create high resistance resulting in excess heat.. it is always good practice not to have the engine running for long periods of time without airflow to cool as the wiring will become hot.

      EbY they are just 3 way electrical connectors ..or you can fit any connector that has 3 terminals

    I had a 1996 748 Bip with the side stand mod so the stand wouldn't spring back up on its own, but it didn't have the safety switch mod. I set off from a bike meet once like a knob head (long time ago mind), every one waving a pointing and I'm think, how cool must I look. Tipped it into the corner and bang! the hole bike came off the ground, or at least it felt like it did. Lucky manage to stop on. Obviously I wasn't looking cool at all 🤣😂😂🤣

      😆😆😆😆 bloody hell, yeah ...I had a 98 748 with the sidestand Spring Mod, and after fitting it, I eventually sett off infrastructure of some girls looking cool and I could bearly stay on the bike and had to merge to the opposite side of the road to stop ! The side stand was alot shorter after that 😆

    @P.X.C Bikes can you please let me know where you sourced the connectors from? I assume they fit the OEM Wiring Harness? I need to fix the voltage regulator end and would like to keep the OEM wiring harness connectors.

      @PXCBIKES  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @tboooe I think I put a link on someone's comment here it's just a 3-way electrical connector. You can get them from most autoparts stores or eBay
