The idea with the project is for me to have an outlet of all my progressive melodies and ideas that doesn't really fit in any of the other bands I play in. But as of right now I don't feel I have the production/mixing skills to take on a project like this so I feel that when I end up with doing a full album I would need to hire someone to do it.
Anyway I've decided to release the demo of the first part for free to download on this following page:

If you want to support you can put in an amount that you would want to donate when snagging the download. You will be contributing to more music being made. If budget allows I'll try and make a full production with drums etc for the full fledged album.

According to some people, you can't make solo instrumental music, if you're in a band. The band is the only thing that exists to them, you can't be free to make your own music without your band, you'll make them look bad, or something like that. I think that kind of mentality is a crock of shit. I think an artist should be free to make what ever fucking art he wants, and if a certain band isn't fulfilling his needs then he should move on and do what he feels best, rather than hold himself or others back.
I love Feared and everything you do Ola, keep up the fucking awesome work.

I personally don't think you need to hire someone if you produced/mixed this yourself, this is brilliant.

I put this song on and my dog immediatelly lift her head up, and ran up to me. She tilted her head a couple of times and decided to sit infront of the speaker with eyes closed for first few minutes of the song! Even animals think that this is the shit Ola. Please make more.

Well production-wise it's definitely not yet record-level, just as Ola said in the description. If you have some decent experience of music production you'll know a project like this takes a HUUUUUUUGE amount of time and effort to make it sound good.

Ola, I'm a long-time listener to your music. I could spend hours trying to put together words that embody my appreciation for this piece, but I'll just say this is one of my all time favorite songs. Thank you for your creativity and spirit!

I've been following since your old demos not quite a fan of your music but Im a great fan of your guitar tone, but hearing this made me a complete fan of yours. Imo youre more effective and liberating to listen in this kind of music compare to the other stuff that you make. Keep doing this kind of music man.

This is some of the best music I've heard for a long time. I suspect that you don't need "Feared" at all (unless that's really just you in disguise) to be a success. Much better than the death metal stuff you do (not saying it's crap, just that this is MUCH better). Step into the light Ola.

I wouldn't go that far, that's a strong statement sir. Akerfeldt has a long established history and Ola takes a lot of influence from the master himself. I can hear the influence but much of this is Ola's own - we don't want a "new Akerfeldt", we want a "new Ola".
I know WybjornVR I jest, but you gotta admit this is pretty awesome stuff in the vein of older Opeth before they went full 70s prog on us.
Oh it absolutely is. For the record I think that was an awesome direction and support Akerfeldt 100% - it makes a lot of sense if you truly understand where he comes from and what Opeth stands for.
But I'm really excited for this, especially considering it feels like it's in grassroots. Really excited to be able to see the start of this.

Oh the memories....remember when i used to go to college listening to this masterpiece. It has such a catchy theme, and the acoustic guitar at the beginning lays down a perfect atmosphere. Hell, thats better than Dream Theater !

I'm in a number of bands too as a drummer and I'm taking on a solo album, Drums, Guitar, Vocals, songwriting, engineering, mixing, and mastering, just to see how far my own skills take me. I was wandering why you chose SH-1 and SH-14 to your new signature guitar. These pickups have totally different tone and temper than pickups you're used before like SH-6. Now I know the answer. This is the answer. Great job Ola!
