As counterintuitive as it sounds, getting killed in your own vanity project is such a power move. You don't try to convice others you're the best (coughSifuSeagalcough), you KNOW this for a fact, so you don't give a shit about looking cool, or badass.

    • @JasonBrant

Van Vogt, Curt Siodmak, and L. Ron Hubbard) and veteran actor Dick Miller (who works with legendary Roger Corman and his pupils Joe Dante, James Cameron, and Martin Scorsese)listed among actors in his project.

@@JasonBrant Ackerman was an absolute legend. He was a literary agent for Asimov and Bradbury (among other legends), he is credited with coining the term "sci-fi," his name was used for a reporter character in the 1933 short story "Reign of the Superman" by future Superman comic book creators Siegel and Shuster who were friends and colleagues of his (possibly an inspiration for Clark Kent), and he was good friends with Ray Harryhausen! He helped to create the idea of fandom (he had an 18 room house just for his movie memorabilia) and he wore what is considered the first cosplay in 1939 at the first World Science Fiction Convention.

Even for a vanity project you have to respect the man for being willing to kill his character, and during the climax of the movie, and it was following the usual vanity trait of killing everyone at the end and just him surviving, but no even for a vanity project the man still said "I'm not Steven Seagal".

I think you would enjoy a martial arts movie called Kill or Be Killed, which stars South African martial artist James Ryan as Steve Hunt as he takes on a Nazi who lives in a Karate Castle in the middle of the South African desert where he plays host to a karate tournament against his Japanese rival who is named and I kid you not... Mr. Miyagi. There is also a dwarf named Chico who is in fact, the man. The film also has a sequel titled Kill and Kill Again which is the cheapest Enter the Dragon ripoff you've ever seen. Characters from Kill or be Killed appear as different characters, including the main character who is now named Steve Chase (Hunt and Chase, get it?), but Chico does not return and none of the team that the hero spends a good chunk of screen time assembling ever actually does anything. There is also a little casual racism thrown in for good measure.

This one was a lot of fun. The movie itself seemed fine, maybe not the most over-the-top action throughout, but your reactions were, for me, the most entertaining thing. Love how Jason & Erin jumped ALL OVER Brian for his "at least he doesn't make himself invincible" line, only for him to be redeemed at the end. Erin flubbing "legit" and giving us "legoot"(t-shirt), Brian staying true to his gimmick & taking a bathroom break during the most exciting part... Classic Brian. Seeing Sid at the height of his powers is always a treat. Randomly cutting Erin off at the very end of the vid... I'll assume that was you, Jason. You know, cuz you don't listen to her anyway.😉😁
Also, Erin killed it with that Magic Spoon ad. Some nice editing there. I've never really considered trying Magic Spoon because I'm not at all a health guy, but the way she described the nostalgic quality of it actually piqued my interest in giving it a go. Well done.

That probably is meant to be acid rain. The first Congressional action on acid rain came in 1980, so it likely would've been on the minds of folks writing a goofy movie in the early 80s.

It's a space movie.... at least it's not Nukie!!
Anything with Sid Haig (RiP) is always epic (in varying degrees)
8:19 - That bare bear chest, who does he think he is, Chuck Norris!
8:59 - I have that Aztec sun calendar as a necklace!! >XD it's not that big though, just fyi! >XD
11:40 - I thought that Nose-head guy from Basket case III...... a trilogy which should definitely be featured on this channel!
I see you've finally gotten around to Leak aka Mystics in Bali (that I'm watching that next), I cannot wait to see your reaction of the floating headspine sucking babies out of momma's!! >XD
Straun House aka Dr.Rage is a worthy SBIG title

Blood Feast 1963 is the only film I remember from college where a friend of mine was into sbig films. Its the Citizen Kane of shit movies. I still remember lines from it, the awful yet amazing score, the insane plot, the names of the brutally acted characters. Really memorable crapfest that I think you would enjoy
