The radio system is called SCNP25, it was used by DoJ before they switched and the developer of it sells it. It is like 100 dollars and then 15 dollars per month. When I was in DoJ when the radio script was in, I was a beta tester in the dev department. I had access to what was called the server 911 channel, where you can report critical issues and back then the radio script disconnecting happened a lot, I don't know if that problem was fixed but it was a pain in the ass.

Now make it even more realistic and have your officers stage while another has to go get a search warrant before you can boot the door. Then, right as your officer is signing the warrant in front of the judge, have the guy come out peacefully and surrender. Trust me, it's glorious fun 😉

In real they wouldn't enter the room this far, no Backup space for the Deputys! They would stop at the doorstep, max go one or two steps in but they would never block there back with a Wall. In some case they would enter it if there is a hostage situation or somebody to rescue but that like you did would be deadly.

It was simply a claim made by a SWAT Training Officer which says a bad guy can cover 21 feet BEFORE an officer can pull out his gun and get the first shot off. The room is too small to be moving around and walking in a room that had one exit it’s a fatal funnel. 21 ft. rule is a factor. He ran at them with a knife reasonably the suspect chose the fuck around and find out resolution.
Realistically they were in there asking for compliance for too long. The suspect had a bat at first. They could’ve tased him after the third time of him not complying. They let him go into a room that cannot be viewed to grab another weapon instead of tasing him from the very beginning. That was the only part that was unrealistic.

Why was taser not attempted?
21 foot rule, taser are not always effective, subject was a deadly threat.
I think they just had no time. The our POV guy suggested the second to pull taser out, but the situation escalated so quickly, they havent managed to use it. Realistically, preparing taser is like 15/20 seconds, he wouldnt be able to do it.
@@JagleW The deputies violated the 4th Amendment by entering the occupied residence without a warrant or exigent circumstances (no, a misdemeanor count of vandalism does not count as exigent circumstances). The deputies placed themselves in a position of danger for no reason anyways. OP states 21 foot rule so consistently even though it's not a law, it's not a rule, and it's not scientific: it's a claim made by a SWAT Officer.
@@haspanic6465 No doubt they had no warrant, so they entered illegally. I'm European tho so I don't really know american law, which means I can't judge if pulling a lethal weapon was correct. Just tried to kinda look for a reason why taser was not used even tho the suspect had no firearms pulled. I think it shouldn't be that way.

TLDR: They couldn't legally enter the house to begin with, and by entering the house they placed themselves in danger. This danger was intentionally created by the officers so they could use lethal force. The Creator claims it's due to the 21 Foot Rule, which isn't a scientific or legal claim and was a statement resulting from a training exercise. Both of these deputies would be charged with First Degree Murder, Assault with a Deadly Weapon (or Firearm), Gross Misconduct, and Burglary of an Occupied Dwelling.
Hey! The United States has the 4th Amendment, which states the government cannot intrude your private spaces (a protection against unreasonable searches or seizures). The two exemptions are: in case of a warrant signed by a judge or in exigent circumstances (someone that is not the suspect is in mortal danger, the suspect is a felon and is fleeing or may escape, or evidence may be getting destroyed.) Now, this was a motel so some people think its different but Stoner v. California (a US Supreme Court Case) establishes them with the same rights as homes. So, the initial entry of the home was illegal.
When they're in the home, police must match use of force; pulling a gun would be correct. The only issue here is that the danger to other's lives is triggered by the officers, this is called Officer Created Jeopardy and is used by police to use lethal force in an otherwise unjustified situation (like standing in-front of a parked car with intent to flee).
The Creator of the Video claims the 21 Foot Rule, this rule has no legal basis or scientific merit. It was simply a claim made by a SWAT Training Officer which says a bad guy can cover 21 feet BEFORE an officer can pull out his gun and get the first shot off. We're going to ignore the fact the officers had their guns out so the 21 Foot Rule doesn't even matter.
Lethal Force is required to be a last resort, so when two officers are present, one is expected to go non-lethal and exercise as many options as possible (again, the creator said 21 Foot Rule exempts this requirement like a clown).

The room is too small to be moving around and walking in a room that had one exit it’s a fatal funnel. 21 ft. rule is a factor. He ran at them with a knife reasonably the suspect chose the fuck around and find out resolution.

Realistically they were in there asking for compliance for too long. The suspect had a bat at first. They could’ve tased him after the third time of him not complying. They let him go into a room that cannot be viewed to grab another weapon instead of tasing him from the very beginning. That was the only part that was unrealistic.
