Every time you talk about reels/rods & combos, I learn a little bit more on how to use what I have, and when I am able to add, what to look for. Thanks!
Jim...I appreciate the breakdown of your rod and reel combos. I bought a number of rods over the years from your, Debo's, etc. suggestions and picked up a number of reels during the pandemic when there was limited supply. Your guidance has allowed me to pair those rods and reels together when I really didn’t have a clue. Thanks!
Finally had a day off (from everything) and spent it working on rods, cleaned and sealed all my cork rods (thanks for the video), put some heat shrink wrap on all my rods with winn grip handles (they're all worn out), and swapped around a ton of line and reels on rods. Tomorrow will be a tackle inventory day. I love having free days...they don't happen often. Awesome video man.
@@TackleJunky81 hope so, I won't really get started until late summer though. My entire spring and early summer is BOOKED with other stuff that unfortunately takes precedence.
Great video, love the way you watch the tip of rod every time you grab a new one! Guilty here of brushing the top of garage with mine, and I cringe every time! Enjoying the Arsenal, but hard to beat the sound of plastic coming out of a box! Weird satisfaction I know!🎣🎣
Great run down on those combos TJ! I really want to try those Okuma rods, I've heard from a wise man you can sell off some older gear to make room for new stuff! Gonna have to try that!😁 Keep the rod/reel arsenal videos coming... I'll be sure to watch all 17 episodes! 😎
Nice video TJ! Some really nice combos and some good information. Enjoyed watching and learning. Looking forward to Part 2! Hope you get a chance to get out on the water soon!
Lol!! Oh you getting what we have been getting!! If so get ready for cold and rain too!!😬😬 For real. We missed spring. Just get me right into summer time and frogs!
I hope you get a chance to try out St.Croixs Rip’N’Chatter rods. They offer it in a few different series of rods but they are amazing for chatterbaits and swim jigs. My hook up ratio is insane
I love the regular tatula rods for $150 such a great rod I have the 7’2 drop shot rod and the 7’2 med fast casting might be mod fast they don’t label the action for some reason but that’s my jackhammer rod it’s great the only thing if I’m around grass it’s a little light so I go to another rod but great rods and the xts are great too
Should be a solid weekend starting Friday. Hopefully you'll have some free time to put them to use. Those Evergreen rods come with some unique sizes and actions. I'm definitely curious how that 6'8'' heavy 1/2 to 2 ounce handles.
I have swapped all my reels to daiwa this year after owning my first one last season the only reel I didn’t swap was the lews bb1 non pro I will stand by that reel on my deep cranking setup
I guess you passed excessive to get to junky, but more than 100 other rods? Do you have reels for these rods, a hidden pallet of reels/reel boxes somewhere? lol 👊
I went up to Canada like fifteen years ago and by the time we got up there and drove two hours down a logging road and two hours with a four horsepower boat all my rods except a couple were broken. One more broke the first couple casts After that experience I just said the heck with it and bought a couple Ugly Stix and they have lasted me over fifteen years now. They are not light weight but I mostly do catfishing and a little bit of casting My nice rods stay home And I take them out walking
Check out the new Trika 6X casting rods they are incredible and have a 365 trial period if you don’t like it send it back for a full refund. I got the 7’5MHF for Swimjigs and it’s killer. Made in the USA with proprietary blanks great company

Thanks man! If this wind would ever calm down I'd be out there. I'm off work tomorrow and it's blowing 40mph...go figure! 😂
Excellent rod and reel combos. Fishing is like golf, you need combo for each bait.
💯Appreciate you watching!!👊
Bro! Great video man! Always enjoy these
Appreciate you watching!!👊
I enjoy the gear breakdowns. It's nice seeing your arsenal. Last year, on your recommendation, I bought the Tatula CT 100. Love it 👊
Right on brother! 👊💪
Definitely like these reviews! Yes think the metanium dc HG is a 7.1 reel. Hope the weather and your work schedule will let you out more!
