I put Huawei P10 Plus / Huawei P10 in the water for 2 mins, and heat up the phone to 100 ℃ for 2 mins. I found that the Huawei P10 Plus and Huawei P10 can stand high weather temperature. Although the CPU temperature will go up to 50℃ after heating up, it will cool down quickly.
The battery cover of Huawei P10 Plus and Huawei P10 can not cool down quickly, so the device may face some heating issue after long term using.
In water test part, I found Huawei P10 and huawei P10 Plus are some what water resistant. Huawei P10 and Huawei P10 plus are IPX3 rated which is basic splashproof level.
My suggetion is : don’t try heating up your Huawei P10 or Huawei P10 Plus and don’t put your Huawei P10 or huawei P10 plus in water.

Actually it is soaked for 2 minutes and survived.
Wit Rigs i think most of huawei's devices survive when soaked. My father's mate 8 fell into the sea and it worked after drying it all out using rice for one whole day.

hello, just want to share my experience with my underwater camera. after submerging my cam underwater, the audio is not working properly as it should be when it is dry. but after a few minutes or so the audio works properly. I guess it goes the same with any underwater gadget, it will take time to adjust to proerly function. thanks!

How do I know when it is dry? My phone slipped in bath, but not fully as was dangling from my earphones , for a few seconds.
It switched itself off after about 60 seconds. How long should I leave it before trying to charge and switch on or should I just buy a new one?

I bought the Chinese version. There are several features Huawei P10 in Europe doesn't have, like hardware diagnostic, hide navigation bar. In addition, youtube service is not available in my Chinese version P10.

MrRapidYT™ i think huawei maybe had some thoughts of adding it in front cam but maybe planned it to be launched on the later models. There was another video by JerryRigEverything about breaking the p10 down and yes, it had the same setup as the ois at the rear cam.

You need to replace the whole screen. Moisture damages the LCD flex cable.

You should disassemble your phone, disconnect the battery and clear all the moisture inside. Dry up the phone for at least 2 days.

Don't try to charge it or power it on, this would damage the motherboard. You need to tear it down, dry the parts inside. And don't heat up the phone.

To all people wondering if this phone dies when drown. About 2 months ago I dropped the phone to the fryer with hot oil(180 degrees), it was fully drowned for around 3sec, so I used kitchen towels and rice and next day phone was working. Yesterday, I dropped it again, but this time to the toilet, so I left it over the night in rice and it's still working, and it's in a perfect condition :D.
P.S The phone had a tempered glass screen protector and silicone case on it.
