I remember watching The Parent Trap when it came out and turning to my daughter and telling her that I knew that house! The house and vineyard belongs to friends who live in Napa Valley! It was so odd because I had visited there not too long before watching the film. What a small world it is!
Hi! I also have a set of needles with a huge range of sizes but end up only using a few of them. But I recently found a project to use my very big needles. I used them to knit a very airy shawl/scarf in silk mohair. It was a very nice piece to put on my shoulders for a summer wedding and I'm looking forward to using it next spring. Maybe that could be an idea to use your very big needles without having to knit a chunky piece 😉 Love watching your videos, they're very relaxing!
Your shawl sounds stunning - I will have to look into making some airy with my massive needles. I never know what to use them for because they are just *sooo huge*. Thank you for watching and have a great weekend!
I havent had issues flying with my needles (wooden), but I still dont take my SeeKnit needles, since Ive heard some people had problems even with wooden ones and had to throw them away
Never had an issue travelling with Knitting needles when flying from Oslo. But on return flights (international) I’ll usually place them in my checked luggage just to be on the safe side.
It's great to get so much good feedback - I will definitely be less worried next time. I had heard some horror stories about people cutting off someone's fixed needle tips. And it is so essential to have something to keep my hands busy on the flight! :)
In the hotels that I’ve stayed in tend to have irons that you can keep in your room. In a pinch you can hang garments in the bathroom while the shower is running to steam them. I hope that fall air engulf Italy. This was a lovely vlog❤️
This is a great idea! I will have to ask next time I stay in a hotel. I don't mind taking the steamer though because its quite little. I already feel a change in the air as we go into September. Fingers crossed it will be a cool autumn :)
Hi Issy, so good to see you, well that time went so fast, you’ve been to UK and back home again! Hope you had a great time in the cool 😅 your dress looked stunning, love the love back and the lace, very demure. Not been away yet, off to Devon so hoping for even a little sun but mostly just dry 😁 looking forward to seeing your finished bag, take care, Suze. 🧶🤗 x
@@suecoles7824 Hello again! Yes, time really does fly. It felt like my holiday was to short and I hardly got any knitting done. It was a lovely trip nonetheless and I did enjoy some of the cooler weather. Back in the heat now but it looks like autumn is finally around the corner here. I hope you have a wonderful time in Devon! And manage to get in more knitting time than I did. :)
I travel with my metal needles and place rubber stoppers on the ends to protect my stitches.. I’ve had no issues thus far .. *fingers crossed* as I’m on a quick holiday right now lol
I would love to join a KAL! Ive seen some people recently do zoom calls in their KALs and that sounds so nice. Ps, I get the frustration with the summer heat, I live in Milan and its been rough (I dont have AC)
Sounds great! I'm just finishing my plans now and will post an update very soon. You are brave in Milan with no AC - I hope you aren't suffering with the heat too much! From the forecast, it looks like autumn might be on the way very soon :)

It was such a beautiful shooting location! And how amazing that you got to visit it yourself. I would love to visit the Napa Valley one day :)

I have heard some horror stories about this too! But fingers crossed I haven't had a problem so far. Thanks for watching :)
Your new clothes are lovely and really suit you.
Thank you! 😊It was nice to have an occasion to get dressed up.

I hope you have a great holiday! I'm sure I'm just being extra paranoid and may try to take my metal ones next time :)
I recently knit the Abrazzos slipover with wool and the gang crazy sexy wool and it was lots of fun! It used size 17 needles which was crazy hahah
Oh, that looks so cute and comfy. I will add it to my list! :) I can't imagine knitting with huge needles after so many tiny projects recently.
Amazing dress, beautiful Turin🤍💚❤️
Thank you 🤗I really loved wearing it. Turin was so lovely - we're already planning another trip in the Winter.
I have been traveling with both metal or wood needles and I haven’t had an issues. Traveled only in Europe with them so cannot confirm everywhere else
Thank you for the feedback! I've been extra cautious but it seems like many people have had good experiences taking their needles within Europe :)
