I like to think that this applies to Erina as well during S3-4. She lacked the confidence to step up to her dad, but it was thanks largely thanks to Soma that she could break out of her shell, even using him as an inspiration for her specialty. Obviously, Song of Hope was a very nostalgic and fitting song to use for S4 E11, but when Erina told her dad that the Polar Star Dorm, which had members that he rejected, had the best *spices*, I instantly thought of this ending and its lyrics too. Not to mention the lyrics mention smiling a lot, and Erina cooking with a smile on her face was a big point of the episode.

I sincerely believe this song kept my post-partum depression and anxiety from completely taking over my mind. I started this series right when I had my son, who was delivered by emergency c-section.
