I was reluctant to watch this anime in fear it would be like most Yaoi (most Yaoi animes tend to be sort of toxic) but the LGBT rep in this show is beautiful. It shows a group masculine men who's sexualities isn't the main point of show, presenting themselves as normal everyday people who just so happen to fall in love with the same gender. All the male friendships that have no romance behind them are wholesome and the way the girl allowed herself to admit her wrongs for being petty was beautiful. The rep is beautiful and the story line is more. This song is heart breaking and this kiss after it was so perfectly placed. I cried so many times from this show and I'm so glad it exists, the mlm rep is lovely

This is my first time watching Given and It will not be my last, this show expresses the emotions of the different characters so well it is very emotionally connecting to someone who has never laid a finger on a guitar or had an ex (me). And I bet a lot of people can relate to the anime as well. I wish for more anime's to come out like this, even if they do make new anime's like this, they will never compare to Given. I hope if this is your first time watching this like me or even your 5th time watching Given it will leave an impact it did on me. Even the quietest of people can speak volumes through lyrics. This song makes me cry everytime I hear it.

I didn’t understand one single word when I first listened to this song, yet it hit me so hard that it felt like my inside was shattered. I can’t even imagine what I’d feel if I actually understood Japanese. Given has motivated me to start learning Japanese and also drawing anime a bit (which I started and stopped long ago). I can’t express with words how much impact this anime has on me maybe it’s because partly I can relate to the characters…like at one point I was like Haruki, then I could relate to Akihiko as well and then Mafuyu’s song reminded me of that particular goodbye though there’s no death involved. This song from now on will always have a special place in my heart. I can’t find a word except “agony” to describe how I feel, still I’ll keep coming back to this song. I love the singer’s voice. This anime was a random one I started watching, no insight of it but damn did it destroy me. A while back ago my bestfreinds and I were chilling outside and doing normal teenage stuff we were 18 then and now 19 as of today. We all got a call from our bros mom screaming and crying telling us to help her because we pretty much are with eachother 24 7. We all got on our dirtbikes and quads and rushed over expecting a robbery or something so we had our knives and a .22 . When we pulled up cops and ambulances were everywhere and his little sister was outside crying so I went over to see whats happening and she grabbed me and screamed that our bro killed himself. Pretty much my whole world stopped and I remember seeing everything get blurry from tears and my other freinds staring at me in confusion as I looked at them they got the jist. And just sat down stunned. We were all hanging out and laughing and talking about our futures and now he is dead, its surreal at times passing their house and checking in on his mom and lil sister. Nobody knew he was the loud happy one in the crew. Later we found out from his mom He had a journal about him feeling unsafe and hatered towards himself because he was gay adn was scared what we would think as his non blood brothers. It pissed me off so fucking much that he thought we would turn our backs on him just for that. We couldnt care less and we never wouldve even batted an eye nothing wouldve changed at all. Now our whole group is pretty much in pieces, please IF YOU ARE SUICIDAL DONT FUCKING OFF YER SELF IT ONLY SPREADS DEPPRESION AND SUICIDE TO OTHERS YOU LOVE. I don’t know why but when I heard this song, rather than crying for Yuki & Mafuyu I bawled my eyes out thinking about Uenoyama 😭 I don’t know I just feel it is even more difficult to fall in love with someone who loves someone else. Yo, I was already feeling emo that Mafuyu's string snapped because *the S Y M B O L I S M* but the moment I heard his voice and realized there was no way in hell I was going to be disappointed. Just the feeling of knowing that the weeks and weeks of wait were worth it. That our expectations would be rightfully met. Plus the lyrics, the instrumentals, Mafuyu's internal monologue, the animation with Mafuyu's expressions, the backstory, *THE SCREAM,* Mafuyu's little "I miss you" and when the first tears fell down his cheeks as he was on stage, Uenoyama smiling at him cuz he was genuinely enjoying himself. BOI STOP. BET I sobbed through the whole song up until Mafuyu's saw his tears literally falling on his hands. My son was crying his poor lil' eyes out after he left the stage. Anyway I was so proud but broken after their performance.

I felt so sad but didn't cry wonder why
This is my first time watching Given and It will not be my last, this show expresses the emotions of the different characters so well it is very emotionally connecting to someone who has never laid a finger on a guitar or had an ex (me). And I bet a lot of people can relate to the anime as well. I wish for more anime's to come out like this, even if they do make new anime's like this, they will never compare to Given. I hope if this is your first time watching this like me or even your 5th time watching Given it will leave an impact it did on me. Even the quietest of people can speak volumes through lyrics. This song makes me cry everytime I hear it.

I didn’t understand one single word when I first listened to this song, yet it hit me so hard that it felt like my inside was shattered. I can’t even imagine what I’d feel if I actually understood Japanese. Given has motivated me to start learning Japanese and also drawing anime a bit (which I started and stopped long ago). I can’t express with words how much impact this anime has on me maybe it’s because partly I can relate to the characters…like at one point I was like Haruki, then I could relate to Akihiko as well and then Mafuyu’s song reminded me of that particular goodbye though there’s no death involved. This song from now on will always have a special place in my heart. I can’t find a word except “agony” to describe how I feel, still I’ll keep coming back to this song. I love the singer’s voice. There’s no tears but I can feel a lump in my throat and I’m crying on the inside. This is how this song makes me feel.

This anime was a random one I started watching, no insight of it but damn did it destroy me. A while back ago my bestfreinds and I were chilling outside and doing normal teenage stuff we were 18 then and now 19 as of today. We all got a call from our bros mom screaming and crying telling us to help her because we pretty much are with eachother 24 7. We all got on our dirtbikes and quads and rushed over expecting a robbery or something so we had our knives and a .22 . When we pulled up cops and ambulances were everywhere and his little sister was outside crying so I went over to see whats happening and she grabbed me and screamed that our bro killed himself. Pretty much my whole world stopped and I remember seeing everything get blurry from tears and my other freinds staring at me in confusion as I looked at them they got the jist. And just sat down stunned. We were all hanging out and laughing and talking about our futures and now he is dead, its surreal at times passing their house and checking in on his mom and lil sister. Nobody knew he was the loud happy one in the crew. Later we found out from his mom He had a journal about him feeling unsafe and hatered towards himself because he was gay adn was scared what we would think as his non blood brothers. It pissed me off so fucking much that he thought we would turn our backs on him just for that. We couldnt care less and we never wouldve even batted an eye nothing wouldve changed at all. Now our whole group is pretty much in pieces, please IF YOU ARE SUICIDAL DONT FUCKING OFF YER SELF IT ONLY SPREADS DEPPRESION AND SUICIDE TO OTHERS YOU LOVE. I know that Mafuyu said that he loves Ueno. I know that they're dating now but I hate the fact that Mafuyu saw Yuki in everyone. Especially Ueno. Yo, I was already feeling emo that Mafuyu's string snapped because *the S Y M B O L I S M* but the moment I heard his voice and realized there was no way in hell I was going to be disappointed. Just the feeling of knowing that the weeks and weeks of wait were worth it. That our expectations would be rightfully met. Plus the lyrics, the instrumentals, Mafuyu's internal monologue, the animation with Mafuyu's expressions, the backstory, *THE SCREAM,* Mafuyu's little "I miss you" and when the first tears fell down his cheeks as he was on stage, Uenoyama smiling at him cuz he was genuinely enjoying himself. BOI STOP. BET I sobbed through the whole song up until Mafuyu's saw his tears literally falling on his hands.
My son was crying his poor lil' eyes out after he left the stage. Anyway I was so proud but broken after their performance.
