Actually, this test wasn't that accurate. I don't think people knew Top Gear was there at the first time. Some people saw May going through the city, and slowly more and more people turned up to see these three, thus more flashes at Clarkson.
True, but these challenges and comparisons are usually not accurate. They're just for entertainment purposes haha

Should a budget supercar be understated? I would think you would want the opposite if you can just barely afford a supercar. You would WANT people to notice you.

The whole challenge was about supercars that are cheap and understated, so yes it makes sense, but the whole challenge itself was a complete joke
Joel Klaus I think the challenge might have had something to do with the UK being in an economic crisis, so if you're a banker or something it may be seen as bad to be driving round in a very expensive and overstated supercar.
Can't 100% remember the episode though so I could just be making this up.

As a person who has been in Puerto Banus multiple times, I can say: Don´t expect people taking pictures of your supercars, high end cars driving around the place is a very common thing over there.
As an extremely rich person who drives a Chiron to work everyday, my maid drives a used MP412C. Pretty good for a budget car.

Im not a fan of the MP4-12C front but that color is just amazing, that color on a 650S Spider is the dream.
Audi R8 have always been some of the most beautiful cars in existence, and always will be.

To be fair, Clarkson went last, and it was pitch black out, meaning you needed the flash to get a good picture. James went first and there was some sunlight out still.

Saw a Lambo aventador, a Fezza Caifornia, and a Macca MP4-12C in convoy today 18/08/13 today in Huntly NZ. Probably over 3/4 million NZ bucks. Not on my budget list, for sure !!

“Budget” supercars should be just as flashy. Just because you can’t afford the aventador doesn’t mean you’re not still buying the huracan because you want that attention and the whole Lamborghini experience.
The only reason that the mclaren got that many flashes is because it went last and after James’s run some people caught on that it would be top gear coming because they can see them and the camera car
Otherwise they would’ve gotten like 3 flashes
They should’ve done it like this: no camera car, just cameramen filming from the end, and masks on so no one knew who they were
