The way Randy used to whip his head around like an overly alert bald eagle was so characteristically him. I miss the days when wrestlers had those unique, indescribable traits.
Rest Peacefully Miss Queen 👸 Sensational Sherri & Macho King 🤴 [Man] Randy Savage .... 'U BELONG TO THE AGES' #WingedEagleBelt The Greatest Championship Ever
All Savage’s promos are just precious. I also think that he had the BEST shade and outfit design back then (+ the ones he wore in 87-88) than those he wore when he turned face after WM7.
Randy Savage did not end up participating in this match. Rather, due to his losing the retirement match at Wrestlemania VII two nights earlier, Savage ended up wrestling as a face against Rick Martel in what was his true last match in the WWF. The explanation given was that the match was taking place as the contract had been signed prior to the retirement match loss. The Undertaker took Savage's place as tag team partner with Sergeant Slaughter for the main event at this show in Las Vegas.
You can see Savage and Sherri were a bit thrown off by Slaughter's betting odds mentions. These local promos are amazing to watch for their randomness.
So good, had to watch it again! "Macho King" Randy Savage and Sensational Queen Sherri holding Court with Iraqi Sympathizer and World Wrestling Federation Champion, Sgt. Slaughter.
Still healing from his broken left wrist, "Macho King" Randy Savage would be replaced by The Undertaker for that match. Another Royal promo from the "Kingdom Of The Madness" !
Exactly, that was the whole point of Macho Man interfering at the Royal Rumble causing the Warrior to lose. Because Slaughter promised Macho a title shot and Warrior wouldn't. My personal opinion is that Warrior should have faced Macho and WrestleMania for the belt AND Hogan could have still "fought for America" in a non title bout against Sgt Slaughter.
Making their way to the ring accompany General Adnan and Sensational Queen Sherri, At a total combined weight at 485lbs they are the New World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Champions "Macho King" Randy Savage and The World Wrestling Federation Champion Sgt Slaughter they are "Slaughter Maddess".
0:51 - "Macho King" Randy Savage, the Commanding Officer of "The Kingdom Of The Madness" and World Wrestling Federation Champion, Sgt. Slaughter. With "Sensational Queen" Sherri.
A year later they did a Hasbro action figures commercial for the ages as babyfaces by saying like this: Sgt. Slaughter: "New WWF figures got the power!" Macho Man Randy Savage: "Power of the WWF! Figures sold separately! Perfect?" Sgt. Slaughter: "Perfect!"
The Sgt Slaughter heel character from 1990 through most of 1991 was a excellent character and Slaughter played the part very well. I think everyone knew that Hogan would be ultimately the guy that would defeat Slaughter , as that’s what generally happened during that period of WWF. I never saw anything wrong with the Character of Slaughter or the whole storyline because I knew good would prevail over evil…
Fun Fact for all you "PEASANTS" and I say that LOOSELY, of The Kingdom Of The Madness: WWF Mega Matches from Coliseum Video, an Exclusive Profile on "Macho King" Randy Savage Notice both Savage and Sherri. They both cut a promo in this same background, minus Slaughter. Just after the WWF Royal Rumble 1991. I already found the identical clip. Let me know if you do, Dig It!
Imagine all three of the Triangle of Terror teaming with Macho King Randy Savage (managed by Sherri), against the Ultimate Warrior. Off-subject, I’m aware, as long as Savage had the King gimmick (and especially was managed by Sherri), he was a heel (March 1991 is when he ditched this gimmick, after losing the career ending match, at WrestleMania VII).
@ItsStillRealToMe DamnIt when Hogan got injured during the early summer of 91. Randy Savage would replace him in House shows. He also would do the same for Ultimate Warrior when he no-showed a few of his matches against the Undertaker.
1 second ago I’m confused. If this event was scheduled for Tuesday, March 26th (1991) and WrestleMania VII was March 24th…how could the Warrior or Macho King be advertised since they’d be in a Career Ending Match two nights before this match? If the Warrior AND Savage were advertised…then the WMVII match to end a career wouldn’t make sense. I grew up watching wrestling in the 80s.
They don’t get into the specifics here but I would think the assumption is that either one of the two wouldn’t take part in the match (which ended up happening) or else they’d claim “the contract for this match was signed prior to the Career match” (which is what they did when Savage wrestled Rick Martel on this night instead).
It was actually a TV taping but this match did not take place (Savage was replaced by The Undertaker). That match was actually released on the World Tour ‘91 home video.
@@Thekingdomofmadness I didn't realize Savage was originally booked in that. Saw that scrolling through WWE Network, and later on Peacock. Funny thing, guess the fans would have to wait for Mania 8 for Jake VS Taker, but the funny part, for a second time, Taker replaced Savage in the booking.
Dude I loved watching wrestling as a kid and you were almost the most awesome wrestler ever. I would love to see you come back. If you put your retirement center pills to the side, hopefully you can come back. Please!!
This makes absolutely no sense. This Savage&Slaughter/vs/Warrior&Hulk match is being advertised two days after Wrestlemania 7 where The Ultimate Warrior is facing Randy Savage in a career ending match
They changed the Main Event Sarge teamed with Undertaker Randy Savage wrestled Rick Martel this was The superstars Of Wrestling taping with Ultimate Warrior on The Funeral Parlor where he got locked in the coffin
NEVER FORGOTTEN 🙏
MISS YOU. RANDY SAVAGE
YOU WERE THE BEST
Macho Man’s “Barbershop Quartet” look :-)
The way Macho Man looks around from 1:17-1:23 when Sgt. Slaughter is talking is hilarious! This promo was Gold!
The way Randy used to whip his head around like an overly alert bald eagle was so characteristically him. I miss the days when wrestlers had those unique, indescribable traits.
Yup. Most wrestlers today are the same, generic
I love these promos they are always fun to watch
Every macho man promo is comedy
Great promos by Randy Savage and Sgt Slaughter!
Would pay good money to see that match
You mean that choreography number?
Didn’t happen; Savage got beaten by Warrior at Mania 7 and had to “retire.”
He was replaced by The Undertaker!
@@msm1876 that’s a shame . Always loved watching Sherri and Randy
It’s real
When wrestling was great to watch
I'd love to see the hogan warrior promos for this match
Sherri looks absolutely smoking hot here

Only in '80s / early '90s WWF could a drill seargent hang out with candy-coloured maniac and make it work as a believable alliance! I love it!
Wow amazing rare promo.
RIP Ultimate Warrior and Savage 🖤
Randy savage had the greatest promos of all time
All Savage’s promos are just precious.
I also think that he had the BEST shade and outfit design back then (+ the ones he wore in 87-88) than those he wore when he turned face after WM7.
LOVE IT

Fascinating! Wonder how they explained the change in match to the audience
I wonder why they didn't make any mention. They were going into a retirement match at wrestlemania
I love that belt
You can see Savage and Sherri were a bit thrown off by Slaughter's betting odds mentions. These local promos are amazing to watch for their randomness.

Also it says this event March 26 two days after WrestleMania 7! They would have had a serious kayfabe problem
R.I.P. Randy Savage, Sherri Martel, and the Ultimate Warrior.
Slaughter never gave Macho his title shot.

Slaughter in the top 5 of all time. Ultimate warrior. Sid vicious. Sgt slaughter. Goldust. Hulk hogan
Goldust and Hogan?!? 👀😏
That makes the Slaughter selection almost not competely wack.
This is interesting. Macho Man turned face at WM 7 with Sherrie turning on him and the show was two days after it. Good overall card for that show
Yes but the show (TV taping) they are doing the promo for is after it.
macho king
Sergeant Slaughter was a good heel. I just loved those phrases "Ultimate Puke and Immortal Slime" lol, and thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaats' an ordeeeeeeer.
Sensational Sherry is "Subdued and Silent Sherry" in this promo lol.
sherri

May "an" prevail, brotherrr.
And the *real* American turncoat was Hulk Hogan, not Sergeant Slaughter.

Notice both Savage and Sherri. They both cut a promo in this same background, minus Slaughter. Just after the WWF Royal Rumble 1991. I already found the identical clip. Let me know if you do, Dig It!
As a kid, I liked Slaughter as champ. Liked him better than Warrior. I mean I cheered for Hulk to beat him but Sarge was a good heel

But what about the retirement match at wrestlemania? They made no reference of it one of them savage or warrior had to retired
I know, it’s a bit of a gap in logic really.
The Immortal slime & the Ultimate puke😂😂😂😂😂😂😂!
Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t Savage with Elizabeth in his corner wrestle Rick Martel that night in Vegas instead?
You’re exactly right. The match is on the World Tour ‘91 Coliseum Video release.
Am I right in thinking that all 4 guys in this match held the WWF Championship one after the other?
Yes, that’s correct. I hadn’t thought of it that way before.
This almost feels like a babyface promo.
Wwf awesome great good
These were unscripted and they were the best
Macho and Sherri were Joker and Harley before there was Joker and Harley.
Did Savage ever get his title shot at Slaughter as promised?
No, he did not.
@@Thekingdomofmadness and then he tags with him? What was Macho thinking lol
Indeed, Warrior was his main priority after the Rumble.
Savage did get his match. But it was only as a stand-in for Hogan. And this was after Slaughter lost the belt. He also defeated Slaughter twice.
@ItsStillRealToMe DamnIt when Hogan got injured during the early summer of 91. Randy Savage would replace him in House shows. He also would do the same for Ultimate Warrior when he no-showed a few of his matches against the Undertaker.
This shit is great! What the hell happened to wrestling?

Sgt Slaughter and Macho King could have been a great heel Tag Team
You guys are yesterdays newspapers, yeah…
I lost $20 to another kid in grade school because he bet Sgt. Slaughter would beat Warrior for the title. I should've known
Why did he say "Ultimate Puke"? That's really disrespectful
