Thank you for being so informative, I am coming out there mid Jan 2023 for possible new opportunity. Work will be in Largo but i want to live in Clearwater close enough to bike ride to the beach. Yes, you can. It won't be Miami but Tampa, JAX, Lakeland, and the panhandle are all options.

Don't move anywhere in Florida unless your income exceeds 80k annually. Inflation is highest its ever been in decades!! cheapest dumpster 1br flat apartment will start at $1200 monthly if you can even find one in the ghetto!! Slums, terrible neighborhoods, constant loud parties and people! relentless rent increases with no cap!! It's murder.

Inflation is brutal everywhere. I did run the numbers again today though. If you’re moving here as a family of 4, you’ll need about $140k to buy a home at todays 7% interest rates.
