Negreanu reminds me of certain people I know who have an ultra keen ability to be able to read people to the point where it's scary. It's almost like they can almost see right through you.
Well if you think about it he is either in a race (facing jacks or queens) or he is dominated by AA or KK. I don’t think you ever put an opponent on Ax with the way the preflop action went, it’s still a damn good read and play but I think it’s one of the least impressive hands in the video.
Im really not sure why people overplay AK so much, why is it so hard to fold AK when others 4-bet? You should be the last aggressor with AK,if others shoves or 4-bet you, most of the time AK is no good, for goodness sake even pocket 2s is still leading against AK. You can call but definitely not hard to fold. I always see amateurs overestimating AK and calls All-in. Depending on how deep your opponent's stack is and the value to call,is not a mandatory call
Hey guys I'm a little confused cause I'm kind of new to the rules of holdem, about how Negreanu had a worse hand than Foxen at the 11:00 minute mark...I get that whatever is on the board counts as everyone's hand, in that case they both had K-K-9-9 but why did Foxen end up with the 100% check mark? I thought if you both had the same hand the pot should be split? I also understand that when that 2nd King came on the board Negreanu's 3 became irrelevant and neither one of them had an Ace or a King as far as a high card, could someone explain to me what happened there?
Hey there, that's a good question that I'd be happy to provide answer. You we're on the right path but you have to remember that a players kicker matters. In No Limit Texas Hold'em, the best possible five-card hand wins the pot. On the turn, Daniel had the best hand with two pair: nines and threes with a deuce kicker. But on the river, Daniel's two pair is counterfeited as he now only plays the board with two pair: kings and nines with a 3 kicker. Foxen on the other hand, is not playing the board because she is using the 8 of clubs kicker, which is higher than the Daniel's 3 of clubs kicker. So for Foxen, the best possible five-card hand is two pair: kings and nines with an 8 of clubs kicker. Let me know if you have any further questions 😎
@@RoyalFlushMediaCompany Oh I see, thank you for taking the time to respond. I thought a player needed at least one high card in order to win the hand, now I know that's not the case, but is there any situation where that could happen? And In what situation would you end up with a split pot?
@@MBS1995 So let's say the board ran out KKA99..In that case, it would be a split pot or a "chop pot" as its more commonly known. Since the Ace is higher than any card that Daniel or Foxen has in their hand, it gives them both two pair with an Ace kicker.

Yes sir. You use the best possible 5 cards when playing poker. Since there is KK and 99 on board both players have 2 pair kings and nines. You now go to the "kicker" to determine who wins. Kristin had a kicker of 3 while Daniel had a kicker of 8. This is called having your pair counterfeited

Kind of wild with how volatile a game like poker is, you have people like Negreanu you have made a fortune but also have played high-stakes poker for decades.
Hand 3 the fact Hellmuth stays calm is a rare sight on it's own. He's normally at someone's throat for a play like that Hand 8. Hearing Tony G rage is another sight i don't see often, he's usually calm and collected. Also the one moment where Daniel was seriously insane was in a heads-up tournament where he called 2 cards back to back for a Straight Flush

At 5:30, look and enjoy Doyle Brunson's hearty -- apparently totally unironic -- laughter, _after he had folded a pair of jacks!_ I read Brunson's books years ago, the first one, which he had originally self-published and sold for $1,000 a copy, I dunno, maybe 1987 or so. I read the trade paperback and paid retail, $14,95 or so. I read the second one the second one whenever it came out, I forget when but ten or fifteen years later -- and I recommend them both to anybody young, despite the fact that some peole say there are whole new theories of poker now, in 2024. I take this "whole new theories" thing with a grain of salt, but I'm no expert, so whatever. But Doyle: just a pleasure to have ever read. And his little defeat here, by having been yorked out of that powerful pair of jacks? Well, in his first book we read about his road days in Texas, when it was all illegal, but you didn't worry about the Rangers: you worried about the highjackers, which has nothing to do with sitting in the hijack. Texas highjackers were, and probably still are, guys who came in therough the door with guns in the middle of the night and lieave with all your money. Whether it was in the pot or not. 😞
The best one for me was when he looked at the camera and said "Dont watch this video, its just copying what others have done hundreds of times before", should have listened...

Folding that Jack 10 straight was the best one. Personally on that I would not have folded and if I ran into a full house, bad luck. I would have gone all in earlier, but with the set of 9s my opponent would have called in any event so it would have come down to the river, but I would not have placed my opponent on a set of 9s. So I would have lost the hand had I gone all in, unless my opponent would have folded his set of 9s on that bet that is possible.

Kind of wild with how volatile a game like poker is, you have people like Negreanu you have made a fortune but also have played high-stakes poker for decades.
I know it'll never happen, but I would love to play a game with Kid Poker. Daniel just seems like the best mix of fun and challenging.
Totally feel you on that! Playing with Kid Poker would be dope!
Does anybody know the name of the read at 13:01 😅
😂 That's Amanda Leatherman. Daniel's current wife
Best display of psychic powers here was on hand 6 when that women on the couch perfectly guessed Daniel’s favorite hand being 10 7 off suit.
Hand 3 the fact Hellmuth stays calm is a rare sight on it's own. He's normally at someone's throat for a play like that
Hand 8. Hearing Tony G rage is another sight i don't see often, he's usually calm and collected.
Also the one moment where Daniel was seriously insane was in a heads-up tournament where he called 2 cards back to back for a Straight Flush
Scott Seiver's resting face is fucking hysterical.
😂😂I wouldn't be able to hold my laughter if he was at my table
At 11:00 how did Foxens hand beat Daniel? She had no pairs or flush or anything. I’m confused
She had two pairs and an 8 (kk 99 8 beat kk 99 3).
Scott's face is priceless
Folding AK and folding the straight vs full house 🔥🔥
The last hand was epic with an excellent read and a wise beyond the real-intuitive fold.
The sucker trying to "pay for his wifes dream wedding"😂😂😂killing me!😂😂Poor guy doesn't know what DNegs did for him that day. A true hero DNegs taking that wedding money.
Regardless of what you think of him, you have to admit it's amazing how many times over the years he called out his opponents exact hand (or extremely close to it).
I get tony g being slightly annoyed, but i feel like most of the top guns have issues with not realizing how much more it means for other people lol if theres no clock, hes allowed to think however long he wants to
Daniel: Like the best possible hand
Mckeehan: *has a stroke*
To say that Daniel bluffed Phil is not accurate considering Daniel had the best hand
He did bluff Doyal out of the best hand.
The full house read was amazing
#10 for sure! What a read!
I love the connection Negreanu and Leatherman already had this early in the game.
They were hooking up lol
5:25 Tony G to Phil! 😅
"Thats not gunna look good on TV". 😅😅😅
😂😂
Poker's Eric Cartman.
My fave poker player😍imagine sitting with loads money on the table and DG is incessantly doing his chatting thing😂😭
Danial has been my favorite pro player for as long as I've been watching! can not remember how long that's been. He may not be the best ever, but the man is usually humble and he is the best at reading players for sure. I'd love to throw ards with this man but my games are po keto change to his leauge of playing so it will probably never happen.
Daniel..... easily the best MIND in poker!!
* with the exception of the GOAT.... and I know he takes a lot of Heat but Phil Helmuth is without question poker's GOAT. 😂🤣🤣 Just kidding... lol
GOAT of entertaining the fans maybe👍 I actually love all these older clips with these Legends. Poker was so fun to watch back then.
Awesome channel mate!! Love all the videos here👏👏👏
* almost forgot to name the ACTUAL GOAT.... it's a Phil, but not Helmuth. Lol IVEY🐐
You almost had me for a second 😂 The GOAT debate in poker is always a fun one! But you nailed it. Im glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for watching.
Any suggestions on the type of poker content you would like to see in the future?
Tbh, I love any clips or highlights from the older Legends.... but you're already doing a spot-on job of balancing old and new content.
I love this channel and I see it growing to something big in no time.👍👍 Well done
Thanks man, that really means a lot! 🙌 Comments like this make all the countless hours of editing well worth it 😎

Can someone explain this to me? How did Daniel not have the better hand?
Wait someone explain to me how he loses at 11:04? Is it because he has to use the 3 in his hand but Foxen can just use the 9s and Kings?
Hey there, that's a good question that I'd be happy to provide answer. @@RoyalFlushMediaCompany that answers it perfectly well for me. Thank you for explaining that so clearly!
@@CLNCJD94 Anytime! 😎
He makes playing poker just fun… sometimes it’s just too intense.
At 5:30, look and enjoy Doyle Brunson's hearty -- apparently totally unironic -- laughter, _after he had folded a pair of jacks!_
I read Brunson's books years ago, the first one, which he had originally self-published and sold for $1,000 a copy, I dunno, maybe 1987 or so.
Been a only a few players with this kind of reading ability. One now coaches Helmuth.
Who is coaching him?
@@RoyalFlushMediaCompany I was under the impression Layne Flack was. If not, he still had an amazing read ability back in the day.
"And perhaps constipated "😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
The Best
I don't like Tony G but he's right 😂 " You bet $6,000 with nothing,not even a pair" 😂
Impossible to hear in 18:40 -- either there are two audio tracks or the commentators are talking over each other as if they aren't!
Apologies, I did not realize the audio track was too loud. I will be sure to turn it down on future videos. Thank you for pointing this out.
Kid poker for a reason
Wow.. Raymer actually plays like most of my friends I play with.
Seiver literally held that face for years at the table. Goblin mode
I haven't lived there for a while, but surely there aren't any houses left in Oz for sub $300k
Negreanu is the man his reading skills are second to none!!!
Absolutley!
I used to HATE Dan.. but I love the dude now!
The best one for me was when he looked at the camera and said "Dont watch this video, its just copying what others have done hundreds of times before", should have listened...
I'm thinking Aces or Kings. Brilliant. Shlomi now thinks if he put me on that hand, he can beat it.
Maybe I’m a bit confused here, but how was he behind against Foxen, when he paired the board, and she didn’t?
KK+99 it's two pairs on board, and poker is about 5-card combos
Daniel have 3, and it paired with 3 on board, but 3pair lower then 9pair, and all we have in this situation is KK993
Foxen have 87, he had KK998, and it's better then KK993
Sorry for bad English, I hope you can get it
Just getting into poker. Can someone explain why Foxen's hand beat Negreanu's when he had a 2-pair?

He's good!
Foxen isn’t one of the best female
Poker players, she’s just one of the best poker players (and she’s the best female player as well).
Telepathic memory and I am one of them. E.S.P. Daniel Negreanu. Greedy gannet, Phil Hellmoth.
This is why he is my fav
The commentator of the video keeps changing the way he pronounces Negreanu. It's really funny,
Some different games from the normal. Thanks.
Calling that full house was impressive. Actually, all 10 callas were incredible.
9:53 Brain fart? Got Negreanu right until this one 😂
I like his cheerful demeanor. he's my favoritre player, and I've seen him make a log of scary reads down to the actual cards and suits
the Schlomi hand is insane!!
9:56 Daniel WHO??
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Folding that Jack 10 straight was the best one. Personally on that I would not have folded and if I ran into a full house, bad luck. I would have gone all in earlier, but with the set of 9s my opponent would have called in any event so it would have come down to the river, but I would not have placed my opponent on a set of 9s. So I would have lost the hand had I gone all in, unless my opponent would have folded his set of 9s on that bet that is possible.
