Wonder how pissed people was when they saw these albums in the booklets, didn’t see them in the stores (especially the dated ones like the DIG and Popeye album) and found out they never dropped years later. Esp since no social media was there back then
Couldn’t have been that mad. No Limit released 20+ albums in one year alone (1998 I believe). And add on the fact this was when you had to go to the store and buy the CD which was $20 back then. I’m sure it wasn’t that upsetting.

My all time favorite record label. I remember the Magic - Thuggin' album CD insert showing a "Coming Soon" and it had Holloway (of Ghetto Commission). I lost my mind when I saw that. He was hands down one of the best unknown talents on No Limit. I also want to mention Short Circuit - Gone Awol as another project I wanted to see get released.

It's crazy I came across this video & went back to my TRU Da Crime Family CD to look at the insert. Porshas album was set to release July 20th 1999 & DJ KLC Hits By The Pound was set to release September 14th 1999. I went to Best Buy with mother each month those albums dropped & would buy the casettes. I still have most of them on tape & cd. But yeah I was looking in the store for those 2 albums but couldn't find them. Didn't realize KLC & his crew split from P. Then P dropped Only God Can Judge Me later that year as well as Mac World War III, Magic Thuggin & Lil Italy. At that point I was confused of why No Limit wasn't putting out albums back to back like in 98. But as I got older I learned nothing last forever.

Fiend said in a interview that Snoop got the Tank Doggs album, he said it was recorded at snoops house. He also said Him(Fiend) Mac and P was working on a album and did six songs for it but it didn't have a name yet. If P would have released Thank Doggs, DIG, Popeye, Down South Hustlas 2, he would have did OK against Cash Money. No Limit focused on the wrong stuff when 400 degreez and the cash money take over dropped.
D.I.G, Samm, Popeye & Hounds from Gert-town albums would have been in my collection. With all the chicks P had, he should have just made a female R&B group & a female rap group. The Tank Dawgs would have shut The Hot Boyz down. Imagine if Soulja Slim was home at the time of that album.

i was definitely was THIRSTY for that Tank Dawgs album.. but correction, the original cover was only Fiend, Mac, and C-Murder ..just like the song from Shell Shocked, which made the group perfect in my personal opinion .. idk why they added Snoop.. then Mystikal smh… but that album and DIG’s album was my most anticipated release that never dropped when things shifted.. i feel like P should’ve focused on dropping that DOWN SOUTH HUSTLERS 2 somewhere during that run in 98 around the spring/summer time.. that would’ve did crazy numbers.. it would’ve been dope to hear that KLC compilation also.. P should’ve dropped his first before Mean Green’s.. QB appearances was dope, it would’ve been nice to hear his own project
U definitely have to have the only “Dogg” on the group called Tank Dawgs but Mystikal was probably added cuz of the song on Snoop’s album TRU Tank Doggz
